Your videos are the best still! So many 'tubers spend 10 minutes to explain something that can be explained in 30 seconds, or make a 10 min video from which only one minute is on the actual subject and the rest is unrelated... You however are clear and straight to the point, yet comprehensive. Keep up the nice work! :)
You're an excellent tutor. The actual mod content plus your plain and simple instructions make this one of my favorite mod tutorial series ever. Thank you for the effort. P.S. This mod is my favorite now.
Thank you for these videos! I was afraid to get into this mod because I heard it was really complicated, but your videos broke it down to where I could understand. Thank you for helping me discover my new favorite tech mod!
Thank you! I hope the tutorial series is still useful even though the mod got some updates during these last six years :) (wow, has it been that long!? I should revisit the mod in current release...)
Since Uranium is not a natural resource in Immersive Engineering I guess this depends on modpack configurations. But I know IE has some native support for many other mods.
It looks like the Water Wheel is much more bang for your buck, because the basic windmill requires the same amount of treated wood but generates much less RF. I know to use the water wheel now.
+春日野穹 I haven't verified this in the infinity pack, but I'm using the latest release of the mod (always check video description, I have mod list and versions there), and I get 4096RF/t output from the diesel generator. Could be that the Infinity pack have an old version?
+春日野穹 Remember two things when you're using packs. First of all, they can't use the latest versions of every mod, that would require the pack to be updated several times per week. Second, sometimes the packs adds changes to mods. Items can be removed or changed in various ways. So you can either try to manually update IE for your pack, or run the version you have in a stripped pack and see how it works there.
Can you next time in your tutorials explain what blocks are you using to grab power from the windmills and such? like the blocks to the left of the kynetic dynamo?
You mean the connectors with wires, and transformers... or what block do you mean? Please note that this is the third tutorial in this series and all almost all blocks I don't talk about are covered in previous video(s).
Yup those. The blocks that the lv wires are connecting to from the dynamo. Noted, but still helpful especially if google sent me to you for "how to create power" search. I'm entirely new to this mod.
I understand, but it's impossible to cover every item/block in every video, and every person coming to a video has a different amount of pre-knowledge. (So basically will everyone be disappointed.) The video description has a link to the entire series and the second video is called "Power Distribution and Networks", I suggest watching that one first and then come back to this :)
Sorry, I forgot to answer this but yes, these Forestry machines can be fed with conveyor belts. However, I'm not sure I recommend it because if the machine is full items will get stuck on the belt.. It's possible to feed them from top with Dropper Conveyor Belt and then having the overflow storage somewhere else (or fed back to where it came from).
Nice pot farm.... I found out something about the wires. The HV wire allows the furthest runs from point to point, MV and LV wire cannot be run as far as HV wire.
+ElfNet Gaming Yeah, this is a mistake in a previous video (or it might be updated, but most probably a mistake on my side). The max length of HV wire is the double of LV/MV wires. And by that I mean that two max length LV/MV wires reach as far as one HV wire.
TKH I did find out there is a config file for the mod and you can adjust the lengths as well as the loss and amount of RF. Default lengths are LV & MV wire = 16 blocks, HV and decor wires = 32 blocks. I changed this to double so I didn't have high tension pylons so close together. I also reduced the loss a bit because the loss on the MV and LV wires was a bit harsh. and adjusted loss for HV wire to a lower value since HV line are designed to carry current long distances will little to no loss. I didn't mess with the amount of RF the wires carry but you can adjust those to fall into place with the RF other mods produce or require..
+ElfNet Gaming A long time ago, IndustrialCraft had loss in cables. This was one big reason to spend some extra time on the network to make sure losses were optimized and so you had the correct packet size etc. I loved this idea, because it felt logical that higher tiers would give real benefits. Nowadays, the standard is that the only thing you need to care about is max transfer rate. No losses, no smart solutions required.. Personally, I find that boring. I like losses and I take my hat off to any mod dev who dares to implement them! :)
In my "tutorial pack" (see video description) I run them all at once and it works fine. The RF energy system is used in all, and should be fully compatible.
thaaanks :33, i already have the mods i mentioned, just.. want this too because... energy with thermal isn't so cool nor simple hahah (srry for my english, isn't my native language)
If you have a problem with the mod itself (like a bug) you should take it with the mod dev (use github and post a bug report). But it might just be a version difference, all items and blocks in the 1.7.10 release are not available in the 1.10 version for example. But since you didn't state what version you're using it's hard for me to know.
+Gabriel Ang Where did you find IE2? As far as I know, the latest version is 0.7.1.2... What is the exact version number? Is it in a modpack, in that case, which one?
+Aljosha Beidinger Easy, just set the capacitor side to input and attach TE fluxducts or use IE wires/connectors. I've tried both ways and it works fine. Capacitors works quite similarly to TE energy cells, but with less config options.
+Kaleb ”Hoss” Crafts Haha, yeah, I know. Actually, my English is worse now than it was a few years ago. I speak much less English at work, so my Swenglish is getting worse every month ;)
I had to look it up and the Solar Tower seems to be a part of Immersive Tech - an addon to IE if I got things right. I haven't looked into that addon, but of course it would be interesting to do so. No plans at the moment though :)
There is something you forget.... the higher is the windmill the more enegry is ok but in rain and thunderstorm is generation boosted quite a lot + in heights 100+ it have nice generation i had 67 rf/t at y=130 druing thunderstorm with one windmill. But maybe i am wrong so I think you could do actual version because --> 1.12.2 changes a lot of things But still good explanation thanks :)
water wheel is a real pain to make in expert mode when you already have 0 power, it requires a machine to make the iron rod thing(sorry not in game at the moment)
You can't connect 2 wires to a wire connector in 1.12. I've been trying. This mod is very unbalanced. It's good that recipe tweakers and configs exist.
Yeah, that got change quite some time ago. I guess it was a good change to make better use of the Relay. Would have been more convenient to only have one type though ;)
Wish I could play minecraft on pc. ;-; But I can't cause my computer is really slow. Its just really laggy. But one day I'll be able to make these creations :) Only mods I know are ArsMagica, Galacticraft, and tinkers construct. :/
+Jerry Ortega My full computer spec is in the channel "about page". Just waiting for a new monitor which might come today if I'm lucky. I rather don't do recommendations, but I'm a desktop kind of guy. No laptops for gaming! ;)
+josip glavaš But the mod is still being updated, and I bet you haven't played with the new things yet ;) (Started today on a short video for another topic!)
IKR! I spent ages building an Industrial squeezer, Industrial Fermenter, Refinery, Storage Tank and Diesel Generator to run an Arc furnace..... Something bugged and now it does not work. I had power in all machines and they started making fuel, but then for some reason it stopped and the Generator wont run and I cant tell why. Bloody annoying!

Another Immersive Engineering tutorial video. Taking a thorough look at power generation/production.
Very good tutorial, as usual for you. I think yours are about the best I've seen.
Thank you so much :)
Amazing video. Super informative, and you are pleasant to listen to. Thank you!
Happy to hear that, thanks!
it is going pretty good my dear colleague. nice spotlight so far.
+Efren Ramirez Thanks, and there is still a little more to come :)
Thank you so much i was having so much trouble all the other totorals dont explain like you do please do more of this its a masterpaice

I am only here for elctricity but I am now willing to take this tutorial wow it's awesome
Your VIDS ARE THE BEESTTTT!!!!
This videos helps me a lot, thanks man
Thank you!
im here in 2020 what a surprise
You can also use Uranium blocks instead of lava.
Since Uranium is not a natural resource in Immersive Engineering I guess this depends on modpack configurations. But I know IE has some native support for many other mods.
god,you saved my life thanks!
It looks like the Water Wheel is much more bang for your buck, because the basic windmill requires the same amount of treated wood but generates much less RF. I know to use the water wheel now.
Do they nerf the output of the disogen? I find that the book has said it only outputs 1024RF/t (total) and i m using infinity pack(1.7.10)
+春日野穹 I haven't verified this in the infinity pack, but I'm using the latest release of the mod (always check video description, I have mod list and versions there), and I get 4096RF/t output from the diesel generator. Could be that the Infinity pack have an old version?

i think expert mode in IE had it nerfed
Great tutorial, thanks! :)
It looks like the Fermenter isnt a thing in 1.10, is there any block that replaces the fermenter?
My guess is that you play a pack where it's disabled? I play FTB Lite for 1.10 and I built the Fermenter there (see my latest LP series).
Can you next time in your tutorials explain what blocks are you using to grab power from the windmills and such? like the blocks to the left of the kynetic dynamo?

Understandable, you should try to put a link for people needing to go back to particular basics or what you said like other vids and tutorials do.
can the squeezer and fermenter be fed by a conveyor belt?
Sorry, I forgot to answer this but yes, these Forestry machines can be fed with conveyor belts. However, I'm not sure I recommend it because if the machine is full items will get stuck on the belt.. is this mod compatible with applied energistic and thermal expansion at the minecraft 1.7.10?!
In my "tutorial pack" (see video description) I run them all at once and it works fine. The RF energy system is used in all, and should be fully compatible.
thaaanks :33, i already have the mods i mentioned, just.. want this too because... energy with thermal isn't so cool nor simple hahah (srry for my english, isn't my native language)
oook.. did it!! noow, watch your videos from start to learn how to do something in this shit hahahaha, it's a perfect mod :3
A lot of the items are no longer in the mod up to date. :(
Hmm, well that's hard to predict as things changes every now and then, but make sure to check the in-game manual as it should be up to date!
I am using this mod, but the sheet metal and pipes aren't showing up, any help?
If you have a problem with the mod itself (like a bug) you should take it with the mod dev (use github and post a bug report). The version of the mod I am using is 0.5.6 I believe, and the MC version is 1.7.10.
Well, that version must be over one year old, so I guess you're missing many features... Perhaps they will show up if you update your pack :)
Help please im using Immersive Engineering 2 and theirs No current transformer What do i use?? Please help.
+Gabriel Ang Where did you find IE2? As far as I know, the latest version is 0.7.1.2... What is the exact version number? Is it in a modpack, in that case, which one?
TKH 1.7.10 FTB infinity
I don't know what version they have in the pack, but the current transformer was added in 0.6.3. Check what version of IE you have.
I did all the machines as you made them here in the video, but when I checked they don't generate any power. Help?
Well, something is different. I don't know what you've done or in what version (and modpack), so I can't really help without any information...
I am playing modpack version 0.7.7 on minecraft 1.7.10. And I thought I did it the same way you did yours.
What modpack? :) I have no pictures to look at or anything to help me help you, it's really hard to just guess.
Agent_Mars judging by the recently posted comment, it is probably Project Ozone 2
TKH I thought that I put the modpack in XD, but it's a small-ish modpack called hyperborea.
Como vc baoxou o mod?
Check video description for mod info. But these days the Curse loader is probably called Forge loader.
how do I check the rf of any device
I covered that in episode #2 in this series. Voltmeter.
how can i transfer energy from a energy cell from thermal expansion to a capacitor from ie
+Aljosha Beidinger Easy, just set the capacitor side to input and attach TE fluxducts or use IE wires/connectors. I've tried both ways and it works fine. Capacitors works quite similarly to TE energy cells, but with less config options.
+TKH thanks for the answer

Ever think about going back and covering solar power? :)
I had to look it up and the Solar Tower seems to be a part of Immersive Tech - an addon to IE if I got things right. I haven't looked into that addon, but of course it would be interesting to do so. No plans at the moment though :)

You can do a video on me sorting interface of refined relocation please???
+ProtoGamer02 I've never looked at Refined Relocation, but if I find the mod interesting I might do videos about it. Might take some time though...
There is something you forget.... the higher is the windmill the more enegry is ok but in rain and thunderstorm is generation boosted quite a lot + in heights 100+ it have nice generation i had 67 rf/t at y=130 druing thunderstorm with one windmill. Hmm, perhaps I didn't think of the thunderstorm, it's actually quite a good boost :) Thanks for telling!
steampunk forever!
it wont let me make the generator
In what modpack, version...? Is it while forming the multiblock with the hammer? Do other multiblocks works? Impossible to guess.
you explained it really well! But im so dumb that i couldent understand
