    Did you move it 4 inches back to clear the old Pan from the front end?

      I moved it back to clear for a stock fan setup. I didn’t want to put electric fans.

    Can you share pics of what the engine bay looks like with the cab down. Would like to see how close everything gets.

    What is the price of the transmission conversion???

    • @naudydave
      @naudydave  2 года назад +2

      I had the transmission so that all depends on what you get. But with the computer, wire harness and torque converter, it was close to $5k. I do wish I rebuilt the trans right away. But to do it again I’d probably put a nv4500 or 5600 in it.

    Hi can you help me please, Im trying to use a 2008 allison transmission into my 1995 cummins 5.9 lts but I can’t find the adapter plate to put them together, do you now part numbers or selling one???

      @@HopefulCanoe-yh8oo so I got mine off of eBay. I know CA conversions sells them. They have everything you would need. They also can reprogram your computer. You also need a tps sensor for that transmission

    Thanks for sharing! What chassis is that? How's that independent front suspension handling the weight of the 6BT?
    I'm asking because I'm looking for a modern rolling chassis for my project, and independent front susp would be amazing!

    • @naudydave
      @naudydave  2 года назад +2

      So it’s a 2003 k3500 dually. I didn’t like the Duramax 6.6 so I put the 12 valve in it. It handles perfectly. I did raise the front but that because I use it to push snow with a older 9 ft western plow and that thing is heavy AF. Also it the brackets hang low so I wanted some ground clearance

      @@naudydave awesome man! Thanks for the input 👍🏼
      May I ask something else, what about that Allison? Do you like it? Would you have gone a different direction?

    • @naudydave
      @naudydave  2 года назад +1

      So I should of rebuilt the Allison when I had the cab off. I think if I did it over I would of got a nv4500 or another manual trans to make it less expensive. I’ll probably end up pulling the Allison out and rebuild it this coming spring.

      @@naudydavesweet build! Not very many of these are out there that are actually on the road! I have a 2005 2500hd that I 12valve nv4500 swapped 2 years ago and it's been great have put about 20k on it since the build I used the cooler stack out of the dodge so i was able to run the mechanical fan and i was even able to use the stock drive shafts only frame mod i did was move the carrier bearing up 2 inches for getting my driveshaft alinement right only issue so far is my t case wont shift in to low anymore and I'm not surprised honestly it wasn't in good shape when I put it together I used the 263xhd worked great up till about 2 months ago but I have no regrets on the build otherwise if you look up cummins swapped 2005 chevy 2500hd you will find a vid on my truck my channel is supersport1986

    • @naudydave
      @naudydave  Год назад +1

      So I ordered it in July 2020 so prices could be different now but it was $5100. That was the wire harness and computer reflash, torque converter, tps, starter, torque converter core and shipping. I got the trans to 12 valve adapter on eBay for like $1200.

      @@naudydave Awesome, I appreciate all the information! Do you know if this would work for a 01 gas 2500hd Silverado? I am swapping the 6.0 with a 12v and Alison 1000 6 speed.

    • @naudydave
      @naudydave  Год назад +1

      Yea but they do have a different wiring harness and stuff for 6 speed. Also with a 6 speed you can get a display for the gear it’s in. The owner Dave and kc are easy to take to. They don’t always answer the phone but they call back everyone. They are the experts in the swap. They have adapter plates and everything so you can get it all from them if you want.
