Catching up since RUclips stopped alerting me to your posts! Enjoyed the live chat today! I love that you are explaining Merlin’s thought process, that’s so interesting. He’s just so cute enjoying that pumpkin ❤
I'm so glad ur making more content!! The world needs this type of bird understanding. You've always been very informal, who knows how many people u helped understand their bird. Or how many happy homes for our feathered friends you've created! People like u help keep birds in homes, thank u for providing a place for folks to learn! You change lives with the love u spread!!
Great video Marlene! When my Senegal is acting all full of piss and vinegar but I need to interact with her I just start the sweet talk, get a quick head scratch in and then everything goes well. I think of it like distracting a young toddler. I say toddler but it still works on me when my bf does it. Hahaha!
Super educational video. My Timneh behaves exactly like this, sends exactly the same signals. Because he has such a tiny beak and rarely bites I am not afraid to force myself upon him and make him step up, ...but if it were a Congo I'd be too afraid to risk a bite. Just like you said a lot of it is training ourselves to recognize the birds signals and wishes.
Glad to see Merlin 'out and about'!! You rescued Merlin two weeks before I rescued my male CAG, who was 23 at the time, I think Merlin was 20. My boy plucked a little around his neck and still does, I think that plucking, after a while, becomes a habit and no matter how happy they are, plucking doesn't go away. Plain to see that Merlin is still plucking, too!! So happy to see you posting again on RUclips, I've missed you. I found you when I was desperately grieving the loss of my CAG that I had lost after 30 years and you were still grieving George, you helped me so much to change that horrible grief into having fond memories and healing!! Thank You!!! 😍😍😍
Hello girls! Today something wrong with my ringneck parrots. I gave them lettuce two days. Now their stomach feels like ache and another one is shivering sometimes for today. Yesterday they were feeling good.
So nice to see Merlin, I remember when you rescued him, and I remember Merlin discovering fruit purée and how much of a fan he was of it,lol. Birds are so suspicious of anything new, you dont want them in a room, lay down a rug to block the entrance, I don't know what they think the rug will do to them, but it's how I kept mine out of the kitchen when trying to cook. Merlin another fan of the pumpkin, you are the best Marlene! Thanks for taking us along.
Just found your channel - we rescued parrots 30 years, more than 20 birds. Just wanted to say thank you for the educating you are doing! Please People... I implore you, Birds Do Not Belong In Cages- Just THINK about it and do not buy parrots. Get a hamster.
سلام خانم لطفا از طرز تهیه خوراک حبوبات سبزیجات برای طوطی کاسکو آفریقای بیشتر ویدئو بگذارید Hello dear and kind lady, please post more videos for more instructions on how to prepare legume and vegetable feed for African Gray Casco Parrot, I will follow your posts. I am sending a message from Iran. Thank you. Good luck.
MARLENE! I BELIEVE I FOUND ABBY! This man likes to come to Rockwood park with a leash that looks like a dog leash around the bird and he tells us not to take pictures of it which basically indicates that it could be Abby it looks just like her and we do not have any birds like that around here, I live in Canada and the guy goes to Rockwood park! The fact of the matter I'm telling you this is because my local law enforcement can't do a single thing as the birds are not from here and they don't know if it's actually the real owner or not I called the SPCA and they're going to look into it further!
Nice sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always listen to what my bird's are saying.

Befriend him, Ask him if the bird dances. Hope old the bird is? Things like that? You need like a pen spycam or pin.
