The title says how to recover deleted messages and the first thing they say is that once you delete it, it's gone. 4 million views? Seems like a deceptive title to me.

i need to know how to retrieve a deleted convo, i did it on accident and i need that conversation back, but from what you said here, guess the only way is to contact the other person to see if they have a copy? how about if the person you want to ask, you dont talk to them for various reasons, i wish facebook would give the option to retrieve deleted messages, like when you delete a status and they ask if you want to secure your account if it wasnt you that posted it, they need an option to retrieve deleted messages in the same way, it'd make things easier
NOT what the video is supposed to be about. You need to CHANGE THE TITLE. Here's how to see if you still have them everyeone: Open Settings> Select "Hidden Messages" to see if the one you're looking for is there. All of my sales messages were hiding there from the marketplace, which is what I needed.

Hi there, Perhaps try signing out and back in to Messenger to see if that makes a difference. You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the app if you're using Messenger on mobile. Otherwise, we'd recommend contacting Facebook customer support for help.

Hi Salonga, Unfortunately if the conversation was fully deleted from Messenger the only way you'd be able to see it is if the other people in the conversation still have a copy of it on their device. Try reaching out to them to ask if they have it, and if they could send it to you (as screenshots, etc.)

As we mentioned in this video, you can retrieve messages from Messenger only if you've archived them, not fully deleted them.

Unfortunately if the conversation was fully deleted from Messenger the only way you'd be able to see it is if the other people in the conversation still have a copy of it on their device. Try reaching out to them to ask if they have it, and if they could send it to you (as screenshots, etc.)
