    Her highports on the 363 have 7/16 pushrods and shaft rockers. We revved that motor to 8800 and had no issues. The geometry was easy to do. And for how fast the car was I say they worked really good

      What's the most reliable rpm you all have ran without shafts rockers. And would you mind giving some info on the old 331 in the Grey mare?

      We turned 8600-8800 with the mares 331 and it had comp cam pro magnums and girdles
      Her car has the shortblock out of the mare with the stage 5 cam and we turn it 8000 with the same rockers

      Afr for the win, they don't make 8800 a big deal when there competition designed

      @@alltherpmafr isn’t a bad head, for what I’ve seen and been around afr just can’t hold up to the boost numbers that a high port can deal with, highporrts have also been the fastest on a small block ford.

    When you said, "TODAY WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE BEST HEADS MONEY CAN BUY HERE AT TRICKFLOW", i thought to myself.. Are they gonna pay to send her to Airflow Research in California?!? 😁
    Look at it like this...
    Compare that head to the AFR 195CC intake head... Both are top flowing heads, AFR exhaust flow beats the TFS hands down, and the AFR is at the factory "20*" valve angle and the TFS is barley better at many valve lifts!
    Now Imagine if AFR tilted their valve to 11*?!?
    GAME OVER!

    • @MissMidnightMaverick
      @MissMidnightMaverick  8 месяцев назад

      We're actually going to do a comparison on AFRs 225s and a TFS 225 head, so I guess we'll see! With the research I've done, it's looking like TFS will come out on top, but who knows... The TFS heads are factory valve angle as well, so they don't have any advantage at all, but still flow better.

    • @MissMidnightMaverick
      @MissMidnightMaverick  8 месяцев назад

      I don’t know where your comment went, but if you paid attention the video, the heads I got were High Ports, not Twisted Wedges. They have a 20° valve angle and are the best conventional heads ever made for a SBF. Can’t wait to prove it.

      I cant wait to see this AFR underrate there heads. I dont go by the flow numbers the track will tell the truth.
      Although there both are good heads for the avg racer.
      Im running 7.90s @ 174 in a foxbody mustang @ 3000lbs with box stock AFR 205s with a little vortech Ysi street supercharger on a 331ci motor.

      @@ysitrim88 you would definitely be faster, I went 4.80 in the eighth with a YSI on a similar combination with lots of starting line timing pulled to get down a close to no prep track with the YSI losing boost through the case (the reason I went Procharger). Went 4.50s after going to a 106, and two of my friends with similar combos have since gone 4.40s and 4.20s both on High Ports at 3100lbs and 2900lbs. High ports have been in the 3s, but I’ve never seen an AFR headed car go into the 3s. I’m not saying AFR heads are junk, they’re good heads, we had them on the Mare when it was street racing, but it’s been proven that high ports are faster on the track.

      Heck ya, that's awesome hmmm was your Ysi cogged or gear driven? Im running an 8 rib serpentine belt. Never heard of a highport going 3s in the 1/8th , do you happen to know who it is?
      Thanks for the reply!
