- We're doing race car things on the street car now by putting a vacuum pump and freshened up electric water pump on Trash Panda, and then we put them to the ultimate test by getting into a little street racin action.

It's a good thing it wasn't that Ford FWD 3.5 where you have to pull the engine to change the water pump. That's one of those things were you just can't figure out what the engineers were thinking when they thought that was a good idea.
Make sure you drill a 1/8 hole to allow the air at any time to get out from underneath the thermostat it'll help keep the thermostat operating smoothly
Defeats the purpose of having a thermostat but sure sounds good 😂

The vacuum pump works best with thin piston rings, and their ability to seal will always be an issue in street driving or track driving. However, we know from the old days of oversized pulleys for the alternator, water pump, et al, is that there was 15 hp or so getting lost to spin these devices. So the gain and loss may come close to canceling each other out or getting a 5-10 hp net gain. A dyno will tell us for sure.

However, clearly that pass was an incomplete pass, that You had let out, the car had lost power during the run the test pass @ LV, SCSN Nov 19, 2021.
However the pass during the 1st Rd "Girls Race" in which the pass was clearly, certainly much faster, quicker with a full 1/4 mile pass, that resulted in the crash, thus last pass which You stated in the review, live video, achieved 1.10 sec 60 ft, 160+ MPH Trap Speed;
The Wallace Racing Calculator shows the following:
60 Foot 1.10
330 Foot 3.18
660 Foot 4.99
660 MPH 136.12
1000 Foot 6.57
1/4 Mile ET 7.91
1/4 Mile MPH 167.43
Thus, if the Black [Maverick] had achieved 1.10 sec ET 60 ft, and 160+ MPH Trap Speed in 1/4 mile, then certainly that pass was not more than 8.0 sec ET, and seemingly less than 8.0 sec ET within 7.91-7.96 sec ET; Thus certainly the fastest pass achieved in, with that Black [Maverick] car-vehicle.
The time boards did not show anything during the that competition run. Seemingly, perhaps since the tree did not show the proper staging, green lights. Also was that competition intended to be within NT?
Either way, certainly You achieved a much faster, quicker pass than the stated 8.2 sec 1/4 ET @ 76 MPH [a clearly less than full power, full 1/4 mile pass], with the last pass with 1.10 sec ET 60 ft, 160+ MPH TS.

@@newtonfirefly3584the 8.2 at 76mph was an 1/8 mile pass that still recorded the 1/4 time, you are correct, but the pass I crashed was an 1/8 pass as well, so the 160+ was achieved in the 1/8 pass.

because of the timing system and situation, as You noticed, there was not any time or speed posted on the boards from that pass for either driver.
Thought perhaps You might have had some information and details of that run, pass, from the track or event organizers
