This is how you coach fighters. Not only is He giving you the technique but He is also incorporating the pros and the cons in these videos. Great stuff!
jgibman1 thank you my man
Thanks for the shoutout! Glad we're able to help you knockout your goals.
These are some really nice drills. I always forget or skip through drills like this because i get caught up working on technical stuff too much like sparring and mitt works. It's always good to go back to the basics sometimes and work on making everything perfect. Good stuff man keep it up!!
Dude this is genius. I'm subscribing. When u said to punch with the arm on the same side as the side you move to I had an epiphany. Something clicked thank u. I don't have any trainers where I live and you are helping so much already
So simple, but so effective. Brilliant.
Yo my man check this... you may not get the riches you deserve but the info.. the time and energy you put into your videos... bro is more valuable than any pricetag you can come up with. Your perspective and insight gives your viewers that personal experience we've been looking for far and wide. God bless you and keep up the good work.
Jt, you nail it with this video on developing rhythm. As a guy learning the basics of boxing that I want to incorporate into my other training, Keep up the good work sir
You are simply amazing.. It looks so easy when I'm watching you doing it but when I tried the steps myself I really screwed it up. You are the only person here I want to watch the videos again and again.
I'm glad glad i subscribed to you. I don't box but in my martial arts class they didn't really explain that much about rhythm. They just tell me to move my feet during punching which didn't help clarify things at all. I'm not the type that learns things from just seeing it. Thanks man.
So happy to see your success on RUclips. You have been giving us your heart and knowledge and details that are second to known. Thanks for helping us and wish you continued success - (it was not overnight ! - you worked your butt off for it ! )
+scott johnson thx Scott, means a lot to hear that
Great work, man. This is very useful. I practiced Shotokan Karate, several years ago, and never got a fine rythm. These videos are helping me a lot to deal with my deficiencies. Thanks a lot.
Great stuff. Thanks.
Like the rooftop setting!
The way you break this down is just incredible.
Thx Tristan
I needed a video like this! I'm basically almost the equivalent of tone deff when it comes to some rhythm so trying to pick up boxing looks like an uphill battle but the will help
God bless you man! Your vids are helping me so much. I've learned a great deal from watching and practicing what you're coaching. Peace fm Japan!
man as I told you before, you are blessed with rhythm, you dance when you box, awsome!
Yo, those solid black gloves are really slick man. No crazy labeling, logos or unnecessary writing on them. Just solid black, where did you get those?
+Ether They were a glove I was selling before but they are out of stock now. These are my new ones - www.precisionstriking.com/shop/precision-striking-bag-glove-shipping-included-uscanada-email-for-discount-code/
JT Van V Great, thanks!
This is how you teach. The demonstration part is awesome. You are the best online coach on RUclips. Blessings from India.😊👍👍
Thank you!
Congrats on working with Quest bro, another solid video as always!
Thanks for taking the time to make these, mate. Good on you!
whenever I need boxing tips I always end up on your channel.god bless you brother and keep up the good work
You teach me better than my old coaches
Very useful, man!
Think i'm gonna put that rockback-shoeshine drill in my warm up
Another brilliant instruction video JT. These basic fundamentals are some of the most difficult aspects for a new guy like me to get down tight especially as bad practice can easily creep in when you're shattered and giving it your all. Thank You.
I am far from being a believer in higher powers, but you truly are a godsend man. I will incorporate this tomorrow into my routine.
PS: I have been working your shadow boxing routine (a video that is about 13 minutes) and it has been giving me great results, especially regarding stamina. Thanks. I am looking forward to finish a couple more months working out at the gym and then buy one of your videos. Most probably the footwork one.
+BassForever44 I really appreciate the feedback, thank you! Keep up the good work
We used to do this drill back in the day. But we did it up as well as straight...part of it was an arm endurance drill, as well as a power transfer drill.
You're a great Coach, thank you
This video changed it all. Thanks JT
I think, your videos are really helpful . Thanks for posting them .
Simply and precisly,bravo
I really like your videos especially the way you explain a technique. You made it very easy to understand and to follow on.
Best channel to learn boxing
Interesting drills JT. I will incorporate them this coming week and see how it goes!!!

Mark Anthony Hey Mark, I'm interested in making a free home boxing workout for people in the military around the world. And then maybe offering a discount on some of my existing products to people in the military. Can you tell me what you like the most? Is it the focus on techniques? Would it be a boxing specific workout that requires no equipment? I'm guessing the biggest limitation is boxing instruction and equipment, but i'm not sure. Also, is there any way I can get someone to verify that they are in the military so I can offer the free and discounted products? thanks, J
Love your videos man watched almost all of them! always like watching these to learn new things!
I'll also be getting my first amateur fight soon super pumped for that!
Great Boxing Instructor!! Your Da Man!!
always got the best shirts!...and the best advice, cheers!
Jason: Your videos are very helpful. For me, I am working on going "off rhythm" which works really well in sparring sessions. Do you have any suggestions for the "off rhythm " stuff?
Great breakdown! Definitely will be trying out this drill!
Thanks for the help! I've watched a few of your videos and they're really helpful for a beginner like myself.
Kristen Hall Great stuff Kristen :)

crazy good info coach
Awesome video simple but crucial
Thanks mate, good lessons
great video! and a great background
u make me love boxing thank you
Thank you. Very helpful.
The most usefull tips,Bro!;) The style of your broadcast - is Very intelligibly and clear for understanding, for real..
Could i ask you about broadcasting or selling the video, dedicated to "shoeshine" drillings and tips.. Because this type of drills are very difficult for understanding.
Thanks a lot!!
Владимир Лоркин I have a video "boxing home workout #4", search for that video. in it you will see me do the shoeshine as a warm up drill. The shoeshine is not very useful for actual fighting but good to help you get your hands and feet moving as a drill.
Владимир Лоркин If you are interested in footwork I have a very popular footwork instructional video that I sell - www.precisionstriking.ca/product/boxing-footwork-instructional-video/
vindt je videos echt leerzaam ook al ben ik een kickbokser. je boxing moves zij echt smooth. Keep up tha good work. groeten vanuit Nederland ;-)
J0HAN187 thank you Johan!
Thank you coach you explained that very clear 💪
You're awesome! Thanks for this.
Nancy Lopez thank you Nancy :)
Some great tips. Please can you show how you incorporate this movement into a boxing stance and moving around the ring?
Paton Rogers I do show that but its here in my instructional video - www.precisionstriking.ca/product/beginner-boxing-a-roadmap-to-your-first-fight/
thank you so much coach!
This guy is the real
Good stuff,thanks.
This guy is a beast
JT my first fight in 5 weeks. Will be a kick boxing match. Your video help me a lot eventhough it is boxing not kick boxing. I will try to keep it simple and hope I can put it together.
As always, the best boxing videos on the web. Question, is there a set number of rounds that I should do these for? Should I alternate between each drill in 3-min sequences? How long and often would you recommend to do this each week?
+Jose Merino imo I would say do this daily for atleast 20minutes for 3or5 minute round's to build muscle memory and then you will become bored and u will have to add more things to ur regimin like pivot's and exit's ( pull, tag, retrieve) He has a few training dvd's that will do u justice.
Thanks for the tip Cody!
Great video!!!!!
Hey JT I wanted to ask you if you could make a quick video on how to float around in the ring and wether your feet should be pointing and all that, I'd really appreciate it!
***** not really, here I made a video like that - Train Footwork Like Muhammad Ali
Great video
Hi, thanks for the content, it helps. Is it possible to get really good at boxing at a late age? I'm 35. I don't mean good enough to get into the ring with someone like you but pretty slick.
Excelent video bro...
I already downloaded their s
App and i think it is good for coordination. Thanks jt

Good vid !

JT Van V Thank, will check it out :)
Great vid! can this drill improve footwork?
erbaktash you tell me :)

Hi jason
I am a boxer too... I started my boxing 5 month ago... how can I inprove my stamina ?
very helpfull video mr. JT thanks. so many good detailed instruction. salam saya dari indonesia
Hey JT big fan. I'm just wondering do you circuit train? If so what's your routine? Clearly you can tie this rhythm training into a circuit, but I'm interested in your entire circuit method.
muzzaomen the circuit I did for conditioning is - bicycle kics, push-ups, burpees, hopping in a squat position, mountain climbers, shoe shine, running and punching. Each exercise for 15 seconds then switch. Rest a minute between sets
I can not explain how much this has helped a 44 yr old fart who decided to learn this art because of you in the first place..ty for sharing your expertise with me...
+Al Sipes awesome! thank you
Will those all black gloves come back in stock? Would love to buy a pair!
Thank you bro
I heard that you’re supposed to learn how to fight with and without rhythm?
For the rhythm part, what if you never had any rhythm of any type? Like is there a video or some guide I could go to on how to get rhythm first and then how to maintain it for as long as I want whether it’s dancing, music, boxing, bed, etc.? Like I have no understanding of what rhythm is in music, I'm not musically literate, not a dancer either, and I'm no musician as in idk how to play an instrument so you can imagine how lost confused I am in trying to figure out what rhythm is in boxing and other stuff. I haven't boxed before either but I want to be able to get and maintain rhythm overall in so many things so that once I do try boxing, I won't be so lost.
And oh dear what more when it comes to learning how to fight WITHOUT rhythm this time?
This is gold
Love it!
