This man is my all time favourite guitarist ( when the night comes calling ) will be played at my passing it gives me chills RIP Jeff missed but never forgotten 🏴🙏🏻👏👏👏
Over 20 years ago Jeff Healey played the most amazing live show I've ever seen, we were in Calgary Alberta at a little jazz club called beat niq, listening to some average band and all of a sudden in the middle of their set the lead singer literally stopped dead and said hey is that Jeff Healey in the audience? He invited him up on stage, Jeff had them bring all the instruments they had in the club and literally sat within touching distance of clarinet, trumpet, every kind of instrument and then he did a history of jazz set off the cuff... starting from early Jazz Dixieland, Acid Jazz you name it he did it ...and it was magical, and was on that stage by himself... he was a literal musical genius and I've seen it with my own eyes
🎸...So I am walking around Giants Stadium in New Jersey during The Budweiser Summer Fest in the summer of 1992 looking for a place to sit down. I hear this incredible sound. It's a guitar, but not just any guitar. The music was blasting through my ears and rattling my soul. I had never heard anything like it before and I have been to a zillion concerts. I asked the person next to me, "what the hell is that?" His face lit up and he said, "That's Jeff Healey man!" I quickly found a bleacher and parked my butt on it so I could watch the show. I will never forget that moment. I sat there in shock and amazement. To watch Jeff Healey play guitar live was an experience I will always be grateful for. I went to the show to see The Allman Brothers but instead I saw a legend. It's sad to think about a guy with so much talent having such a challenging life. Jeff Healey was one of the best Blues musicians of all time. May he Rest in Peace now. ✌️
He was truly a gift with his ability to play the guitar and sing. We were lucky to have them. I wish you would’ve been a lot longer than what we could enjoy. God bless him and his family. What an amazing guy.
Lost way too soon. As a kid, I lived down the street from Buddy Holly. We knew each other but didn’t hang out a lot together. He got into music and I was busy taking care of our horses. But it hit the neighborhood hard when he died. Thinking of Jeff brings all that back in a rush. 😢
I am so blessed that I got to see this man play twice. The last time I saw him was, I think, about two years before his death. I believe it was one of his last performances. He was clearly in pain at that time but played as amazingly as ever despite the rainy day (it was an outdoor Blues Festival. After the show, despite the rain and his obvious physical discomfort, he still stuck around to chat with fans and sign whatever they handed him. A classic ass through and through who is a damn tough act to replicate.
His live performance on the David Sanborn Night Music show where he plays See The Light, is in my opinion, one of the best live performances on RUclips! Amazing.

I saw Jeff play in London Ontario in a very small bar, small crowd, in 1985. No one knew who he was but the chatter outside the bar between customers after the show was pure amazement! There was no doubt he was going places and we all felt so fortunate to just happen to be there on that one, cold January night.
I love blues, but I'm old metal head at heart. I loved Jeff's music back in the day. A few years ago I decided to see what he'd been up to. I was heartbroken to learn he'd passed away. Someone should make a movie about his life. He took his love for music and invented a new way to play his instrument. I would imagine he inspired more people than he ever realized, and refused to be a tragedy. He made more of his 41 years than most of us will do with twice as many years. R.I.P. Jeff.
He's very missed, but never forgotten! His memory will shine through each and every song that he wrote, played, and sang during his time on this earth!

Jeff was a guitarist of unique and spectacular talent. To listen to him shred on "See The Light" is a journey through greatness. His unusual playing style allowed his chord changes and crisp string work to set him all alone above most of his peers. The world lost a top notch musician when he passed away far too soon. It was said he was a kind and genuine man, with grace and friendliness towards all he met and loved deeply among those close to him. Rest in peace Jeff, now you can truly see the light.

I saw him and his band play in Kingston, Ontario. I think it was 1991 and what a thrill. ❤ I sure do miss the music he shared with us and the privilege we all had to hear it. RIP, we love you and miss you
What an amazing person and so talented. He may have not lived a long life, but he will never be forgotten during his time in this world. RIP Jeff 🙏🏻🙏🏻💙💙❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Miss Jeff. RIP my guitar-riping, song writing friend.
Thank you so much for remembering this amazing and grossly underrated guitarist!! He might have played sitting down, but he could play with the absolute best of them!!
RIP JEFF!!! 🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
He was an amazing musician and he seemed like the coolest guy.
@@EdCollects BTW...do you see my comment? It was there, then it disappeared! They've got me on a short leash here, but I didn't say anything controversial. (not my original one, but a reply to yours).
My favorite is "Angel Eyes " my husband use to sing it to me. He's a musician. Mike Smathers, thank you for loving Jeff the way i did and now our granddaughter's favorite! Without even knowing until i told her our story! ❤✌🏻🙏🏼
Godspeed to you Jeff, you were an amazing person n musician by far.
It's not goodbye, it's see you later. Since we'll meet again my friend. 👍🏻😎👍🏻💙
I loved Jeff’s singing. He was an awesome singer.
Jeff Healey was an extraordinarily talented young man. He was taken from us far too soon. He was amazing. Absolutely love him.
One of the best guitar players ever. See The Light song blows me away. RIP❤❤ ❤
Seen him many times. Loved every second of it!!!!!
I seen him n his band play at the University of Windsor on 1989
after buying his first album
I was instantly hooked on his guitar style.
I had no idea he had passed away
Fly 🪽High Jeff ♥️
I saw Jeff play in London Ontario in a very small bar, small crowd, in 1985. No one knew who he was but the chatter outside the bar between customers after the show was pure amazement! There was no doubt he was going places and we all felt so fortunate to just happen to be there on that one, cold January night.
Fantastic guitar playing," lost in your eyes" is an absolutely beautiful song
A true icon. God has a new best friend ❤
R.I.P. Jeff.
Miss him! And SRV! RIP. Can't even imagine how many more great tunes those two would've had!
Exactly! Both were gone way too soon.
He's very missed, but never forgotten! His memory will shine through each and every song that he wrote, played, and sang during his time on this earth!
Jeff is a true example of what to do when things don't always go your way. You make a new way and enjoy the journey! God bless you!❤❤
I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in Downtown Dallas with my cousins. R.I
P. Much love 💋❤️💔😪🙏✝️💐🔥💯
I wonder how many beautiful songs we never got to treasure once he left us. A gorgeous soul and mountain of love. May Jeff live forever in our hearts 💕. Love You Brother!
😔😔😔
He was a rare & beautiful artist. I’d hoped to hear lots more from him after Road House. Angel Eyes Is one of my favorite songs FOREVER Sweet Angel. Your eyes are seeing all of the beauty now & will forever!!! I Love You & Miss You Jeff Healy!!!
Nothing held him back. Exceptional musician.
RIP Jeff ❤ you ARE remembered!
Thank you for everything.
RIP ANGEL 😇 Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 Nostrovia ❤❤❤
