Drauger Main Here ~ remember unlocking the whole arsenal of the Drauger in a jet superiority Portal Server, and remember the only time I have hit the EMP into other aircraft. The blast was so big it also reached out 2 more jets, all of which couldn't maneuver and fell to the ground... Also can remember about a time in conquest where an ATV, a CAV and a MBT where all low on health and a single Kerosene bomb anhilate them (+12 kills on a round) Now to "show off" I fly upside down in order to deliver the JDAM and if timed correctly loop so low to the ground as possible and even take down enemies with the body of the drone Nice Vid ❤
Thanks for the advise! I appreciate your comment and am glad that you enjoyed it! It's always good to have other players of vehicles come out in support. It helps back up my points :) Thanks!
Hope the next BF game stops the trend of not having good countermeasures on vehicles from the start. I find it pretty counterproductive to get players to use the vehicles if you are handicapped for no reason. It's just anti new player and doesn't help that there is a big divide in vehicle pilot/driver skill because of not having countermeasures.
I think the game does a bad job at explaining countermeasures too. There are still loads of tank drivers who don't have any equipped. In this video was clips from a game on Al Amien where I was using JDAMs and I swear not a single tank or wildcat had anything to counter them with, it was a turkey shoot.
Its one of the things i liked at the BF 4 lauche where Air radar was a given and flares was given from the start compared to BF3. Otherwise it became a floor that most people who weren't at launch became under within a month, especially the grind to flairs in BF3 was the longest as you couldnt really do much or stay in the air long.
Great video! I've been flying the Draugr since it came out and after the initial probs and a patch or 2, it's in a pretty good place. I either play anti infantry or anti vehicle, both are really satisfying and as you say, you can engage with the battlefield, push lines forward, clear routes etc. One thing I learned recently, I dropped a jdam from damn near the ceiling by mistake and someone was soflamming a heli. The Jdam destroyed the heli.
Thanks! I'm glad to have other Draugr pilots back me up here :) Yeah, it can happen. I really wish DICE put some love into SOFLAMing, so it was more desirable to play. There are so many fun interactions that can happen that you'll almost never see without a dedicated recon main. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed it! I am happy with my subscriber number as it is. It's already greater than I even anticipated. Now if I can get my videos to have more views than my sub count, that would be great :P
Great guide! Apologies for the late viewing, been caught up in family festivities -- hope you had a great one! I never actually did a lot with the Draugr as I couldn't stand the base loadout with EMP and no decoys. Nope, sorry -- I'm too old & don't have enough time for that! I know that sounds incredibly impatient but with the Jets being freely available... sorry. The other thing, and I know this'll sound a little arrogant but I'm just calling what I see.. when a Draugr gets my attention (usually because a Kerosene bomb hit me) I just switch to Lis and it's done. All Draugr players I have met are completely blind when coming in on their bomb run and advertise it like a Super Bowl halftime show. I love the concept of the Draugr and am absolutely in love with BFV bomb runs, but I'm not going to do the Great Grind to get the anti-vehicle weapons I want. Too lazy!
No worries man, I'm happy to hear you are having a good time with the family! We are having an awesome holiday. Thanks! The unlocking requirements almost put me off from ever getting into the Draugr, which is a big shame. If it put you off, then guarantee loads more players were also in the same bucket. I am not sure why DICE thought this was a good idea. Lissiles have been weird for me lately. Everything is blury when I boost. I didn't change any settings, so I am not sure why this is now happening.
With the fact that it has a lower top speed makes it easy to learn to fly for me. Its the high kills required more than anything. Ive been able to avoid wildcats for the most part but F35s absolutely swarm all over me and thats a hard fight vs someone who's great with the f35
That is a good point. I guess from my perspective, having the flares and speed on the Jets makes for more survivalability, but if this works for you, then absolutely! Try out the CIX cloaking and get low when you are in a dogfight with jets. Quite a few pilots will miss you, and you'll be able to either slip away to a better position or get on their tail. The key is to make sure they don't have clear sight of you when you activate it. I hope this helps! Happy flying!
ngl, I hate this thing with a burning passion. Draugrs are always my top priority. Thankfully Draugr pilots get tunnel vision even more than jet pilots when making an attack run making them relatively easy to Liz. Also Draugr pilots: popping your cloak does not make it impossible for me to hit you, I was already tracking you before you popped the cloak and half the time I can still just about see you. Though Draugrs accusing me of cheating because I hit them while cloaked will never stop being funny :D
Oh yeah I get tunnel vision hard when going in for a run! Lis is definitely the best way to deal with them. Its best used when you are out of sight, like on a tight turn during a dogfight. I've lost many a Draugr this way. But yeah, its definitely possible to see you. Thanks for your support Jack!
This is true. Thanks for sharing! I do wonder why DICE changed the EMP to something weaker. It used to completely disable all weapon and subsystem. It never seemed particularly strong to me. I would like these NNEMP bombs to do more damage before I would consider using them.
@@marzipandan767 personally i dont mind the damage for the emp bomb since ive gotten consistent at direct hitting armor but my main problem is that it reloads way too slowly imo especially compared to the jdams
@logger388th you are not wrong. It definitely takes longer than the JDAMs, and if you are good with direct hitting, you must be a nightmare with the JDAMs. :)
@@marzipandan767 haha lol, unfortunate thing is that it drops slower than the other two bombs, so i need to reset my muscle memory every time i use jdams
Yep PC with keyboard and mouse. I actually documented my jet learning experience earlier this year on YT in which I explained how I learned to fly in BF, of you could find it helpful: ruclips.net/video/uXPjlVM2esE/видео.htmlsi=8Lqea6G4EiFFakAj I'm glad that you enjoyed the video!
Here's hoping! I do wish their stats/hints were more honest and readable. There is no reason that DICE can give you the damage numbers for any specific weapon in the menu.
I found out portal game doesn't have this camera bug unlike solo/coop mode. Plus my pc which curiously can only operate at 45 fps doesn't suffer further lag & fps loss
This is actually massive! Thanks for the tip. If you are comfortable making your own portal server using the browser, then setting up a portal server might be more efficient than using solo/coop. I'm sorry that you have to play at 45fps :/
U get used to it.. On a bright note, I learn to avoid gunfights bc I can't win, so I play dirty like planting claymores at flank routes or vehicle hunting where they are less prepared for my sneak tactics
Once it is dropped, the JDAM takes about 1-2 seconds before it is active. When I say active, I mean that the bomb is ready to lock on. From what I've observed, it seems like there is a cone with the point at the bomb and a ground vehicle within that lock on cone will be locked onto. The cone has a max height, so if you drop JDAM from very high, it won't lock until the bomb gets closer to the target and the target is within this lock on cone. When the lock is confirmed, you will see a red lock symbol on your target. You can see this a couple of times in the video. At this point, the bomb is gently guided towards this target, provided they don't countermeasure, block the bomb, or move too fast, the bomb will hit. You can absolutely fire and forget, drop it from a good height with the ground vehicle roughly in the cross hair (you only need the target to be roughly in there because this lock on cone covers you). If you look out for the red lock confirmation, you will know that it is locking. I hope this helps. If you have more questions or something is unclear, please let me know, and I can try to answer.
@ Wow. This has to be the hardest bomb to drop. These guys on youtube make it look easy. And one guy is no scoping jets and helos mid air with the Jdam. I did see the lock a few times when I tested it. But it quickly dissapears. I have never managed to actually destroy any vehicles with it. Only little damage.
@dasauto44 it's a lock on, so it's very commonly countermeasured. Keep dropping them on the same target, and you'll eventually lock them when they are out. Unless you are really accurate with your bombs, the lock on function is really your best bet with the JDAM, even despite the countermeasures. It also helps if you have damage numbers turned on in the game since it will let you know if you got a direct hit or just a little bit of splash damage. This is actually really important.
@atomiclizard2757 oh yeah! It's a legitimate good strategy. As long as your wildcat is paying even a little bit attention, then it will absolutely work :)
@bryanodonnell2796 i mentioned this. If you die in solo/coop in the Draugr, and try to spawn it again, your camera will be locked under the map. The only way to fly it again is to quit out and start the game up again. It's been a known bug for a long time now. I doubt it will ever be fixed :/
That was the first thing I mentioned. You NEED to unlock the jammer (the draugr's flare equivalent). Otherwise, you can not do anything with the Draugr. Head into solo/coop and farm until you unlock the jammer. It sucks, but unfortunately, if you want to use this jet in pvp, it's a requirement.
When you get in a game and map which has them, for example, Orbital on CQ 64 or 128, open the vehicle menu, and you should see it listed in the jets section. If you don't see it as an option, then you might need to unlock them. In the main menu, head to the collection section, then head to vehicles, find the Draugr, and hover over it/click it, and it should say what you need to do to unlock it. I hope this helps!
Is this really true? My thinking: The max damage you can deal with the NNEMP is 30 and that's if you directly hit them. The JDAM replenishes fast enough that you can do 3 bombs, 1 for their smoke, 1 for their APS, then a final one which you know must hit because everything else is on cool down. You can also drop it from a lower altitude to give them less time, or so low that you don't use the JDAMs lock on at all and go for that direct hit which they likely won't negate. Let me know if any of this is wrong.
