In this video I take a look at all of the different gimmick sets released for LEGO Ninjago, starting with the spinners from 2011 to 2023, then looking at the Booster packs, Arcade pods, Epic battle sets and Rising Dragon Strikes!

Just realised I forgot to show the small sticks that were in the Epic Battle sets to spin characters around! They’re the same design as ones that were in some sets from the 2019 Legacy set wave.

What about the ninjago comics? I actually bought one this day And featured legacy Lloyd and ghost
I invented a game for the Rising Dragon strike gimmick sets: Set up a bunch of wolf mask guys like pins and launch the dragon, keeping the mouth open; and the energy core comes rolling out and you try to knock the bad guys over like bowling.
That's not a bad game to try out! Feels reminiscent of the old Skeleton bowling spinner set.

The Arcade Pods and the Epic Battle sets are probably the best gimmick sets of the 2020's. The Core spinners are decent too.
I remember when I was younger, my mom bought these when we were poorer and these were sooooo damn cool. I loved the first series of these and the second.I was kinda bummed out that the skeletons only got 1 pair of hands and they held weapons side ways. For normal playing they weren't great, but for spinning they were amazing
Man when you were poorer? Mine didnt even buy me these when we had money 😔😔 i wish i had more, i had the zane airjutsu, and the nya masters of spingitzu, (the movie ones)

I'm really glad we got dragon strikes. Only spinjitzu and airjitzu were story based sets they used in the show, and now we got another one!
And one of the three characters to have a set didn't use it in the show. Wierdly enough, the dragon's color scheme includes green which suits lloyd who did use it in the show. Probably out arin in to market the character better and put green on it so you can have a good and more accurate character on the dragon

The booster packs were my favorite, hope that something similar to come back

I’m so happy I got most of the prime empire sets😅 I got a truck load of digi-jays and a few arcade pods, I could probably make a jay themed lego chuck E cheese with all the arcade pods and jay mini figures 😂
I collect the 2011 spinners and almost have all of them. I only need Cole and Zane. I buy them brand new on ebay. It's awesome people have kept these sets sealed for so long for people like me who just started watching Ninjago 4 years ago.

The air jitsu gimmick sets was probably my favourite but the prime empire arcade is such a good packaging and I'm not sure if super star rocking Jay is exclusive but he’s my favourite look of Jay. ( EDIT, I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT OG AIRJITSU GIMMEKS BEING ABLE TO SPIN FROM UPSIDE DOWN ALL THIS TIME 😮 ).
I absolutely love the Arcade Pots.
Not only did you get two Minifigures (one being exclusive), but also a nice Arcade Pot mold and a golden version of the controller piece wich is also exclusive. (Not counting 10th Anniversary Jay)

I'm thinking about getting more of the current wave to use the big gold strut to make Biblically accurate angels.
Plus the lower jaw makes a great toilet.
Crossbows and spears are a bit blasé but blue hoods make for an okay raven moc and kopesh and cat claws are always nice.
