I had the EXACT same thought haha. You literally watch the video for 10 minutes only for him to THEN start speaking about pilot episodes of the show. But at the same time I am so in love with it, because I love the lore of Ninjago. I don't find it bad to only later find out so many more things about Ninjagos past. Not every show has to go chronologically
Ninjago was created by the First Spinjitzu Master by using the four Weapons of Spinjitzu: The Scythe of Quakes, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Shurikens of Ice, and the Sword of Fire. Weapons so powerful no one can handle all of their power at once. When he passed away his two sons swore to protect them, but the oldest was consumed by darkness and wanted to posess them. A battle between brothers broke out and the oldest was struck down and banished to the Underworld. Peace returned and the younger brother hid the Weapons. But knowing his older brother's relentless ambition for power, he placed a guardian to protect them. And for fear of his own demise, a map for an honest man to hide.

Dude, that ending part where the Ninja are all split up for YEARS and acriss the merged realm, helpibg people alone and slowly finding one another is so sad. Love to see that the Overlord made a comeback and created his own Sinister Six lol
@@juwairiyahshaikh4944well, the Overlord us immortal, "as long there is light, there is darkness". He can be stoped and destroyed but will always come back, so it is not impossible for him to return in the franchise but i think, if the creators do that, it will be seasons and seasons later. Maybe near the end, it would be perfect for him to be in the last season of dragon's rising, just like he was in the end of master's of the spinjutsu
@mrtoxictomato9751 Their was a cameo with Clutch Powers in Ninjago. I don't know the exact episode, but it was a little after New Ninjago city. Also, I'm pretty sure that one of the "symbols" in the movie was on the serpentine staff.
Honestly the lore ending up writing itself into a corner of "Wu struggled for years to find Kai at his parents' blacksmith shop, with whom Wu was very close friends" is very funny
Possesion was start of peak Ninjago, and the peak kept going with Skybound (not for everyone but it is a really good season), Day Of The Departed (which was great even for Morro alone), Sons of Garmadon (which had a heartbreaking ending) and then The Hunted (which was straight up perfection). You should try those too, if you have time.

"Oh, Ninjago! I loved this! Unfortunately I stopped saw it, I wonder what happened." Half an hour later: "I'm.... not actually that surprised.... but still..... What?"
21:40 *Lloyd I lost track after time brothers event. Pilot was the greatest. Snakes, Stone army, Nindroids and Tournament was like a core, after redesign it's all to messy, so thanks for the recap
Agreed. At some point they should have just ended it (around season 5 in my opinion). But... of course they wanted to milk the franchise for its money. Old ninjago used to be the greatest thing ever though!
it is wild how in the ancient time the overlord could plan his next move using garmadon as a vessel for his return and he possesed a serpent to bite garmadons hand and injecting him with pure evil to help him years later
Side note but as a massive Ninjago lore nerd since I was 11, I LOVE the fact we’ve never seen the first spinjitzu masters face, it keeps that cool mystery to his power

Nice summary, man. Thanks a lot. Your video FINALLY gave me a sorta closure on Ninjago. I know it's not over but to me this is good enough. Alas, Loyd continues to be my favorite character. I stopped watching after he became the golden ninja years ago, lol. I often wondered what became of him. Glad he's still a hero 🥲
Yea honestly. I stopped watching after the Hands of Time because I felt that making Garmadon evil again just made no sense at all. That was the sign they were adding random nonsense to the show
@@frib7836That feels like such cheap writing dude. I'm glad I dipped when I did cuz seeing Loyd's dad being evil AGAIN after ALL they went through to have a "normal" father/son relationship?? Nah. That's sum BS fr. I'd rather think they still cool, rather than "enemies".
@@O_t2_3 Late reply, but I just wanted to let you know that that’s not what exactly happened. Harumi only brought back the ‘Oni’ side of Garmadon, aka his evil self, purposefully, because she knew he wouldn’t take over Ninjago and hurt his son otherwise. The revived Garmadon had no memory of his relationship with Lloyd. Honestly, I felt like the conflict between Lloyd and Garmadon was so much more devastating because Lloyd was desperate for the father he knew and loved, but the one he was fighting was not that. Garmadon does slowly relearn to be good afterwards in later seasons, though, and try to fix his relationship with Lloyd
My brother still makes fun of my overdramatic sad diary entries about my crush Zane dying from when I was like 12 😂 he doesn't understand that I just wanted to *be* Zane because he was cool though

My favorite thing is that each of the four main ninja should be the most powerful after Lloyd gave them an extra duplicate of their power. It is implied in the time travel season that they shoud have unlocked the powers on their own as several times after each ninja loses their power only to unlock it again with out taking back power.
Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by the first Spinjitzu master by using the four weapons of Spinjitzu, The Scythe Of Quakes, The Nun-Chucks Of Lightning, The Shurikens Of Ice, The Sword Of Fire. i hate how the series retconned itself as it was first stated that the first spinjitzu master randomly apeared and created ninjago to then birth garmadon and wu that was it
Bro inimportant how often I see the story since the 8. squadron and how much sense it would make on paper, but it just isnt working for me. Just reviving Garmadons evil side and getting a new outline with Onis or something like that, which are never mentioned before, despite their importance for the whole canon. Until season seven or at least season six the Story fits Into everything and nearly every charakter is getting flashed out more, but for example in season 8 Zane could so the same arc again. Or Jay is beeing the same person in season 8 he was in season one. From the first to the 7. it feels like expanding the history and Universe, but since season 8 it feels like doing some completely different shit with just putting the same Name on it. And I cant describe how much I hate these new design.
Agreed a hundred percent, the show was created intricately and with a good parallel of characters after about season 7-8 they just started adding on a bunch of different things that don’t make sense to the plot or timeline
And to be be completely real, the well toughtout story wich made sense in itself ended when lloyd became the golden ninja and defeted the overlord. Garmadon was freed from his evil curse, the prophecy came true and everthing felt like a satifying planned out ending. Ofc, was i interested when another season was announced. But when i realised the overlord was somehow back as a fkn computervirus, i quit watching. The defeat of the overlord and everthing leading up to it was to epic to just be reversed and it be for nothing. I realised they are from then on only adding random stuff to keep it going. No Victory meaningful, no defeat justified. As i said, i didnt watch it, but i get the feeling the new seasons only shine when clinging to the past lore. wich had relevance before it was nullified by the 7. Return of the 87th made up "arch nemesis since the dawn of time"

Same I stopped buying Ninjago sets after the seasons of the time twins and the day of the departed mostly because of Star Wars lol. I guess imma start buying Lego Ninjago sets again xD
Dude, that ending part where the Ninja are all split up for YEARS and acriss the merged realm, helpibg people alone and slowly finding one another is so sad. Love to see that the Overlord made a comeback and created his own Sinister Six lol
Wait he comes back in dragons rising?
@@juwairiyahshaikh4944well, the Overlord us immortal, "as long there is light, there is darkness". He can be stoped and destroyed but will always come back, so it is not impossible for him to return in the franchise but i think, if the creators do that, it will be seasons and seasons later. Maybe near the end, it would be perfect for him to be in the last season of dragon's rising, just like he was in the end of master's of the spinjutsu
@@nagnacamo25 bro will always come back 😭
@@juwairiyahshaikh4944 alas, like the hydra, you cut the head, it will grow again and again
@@nagnacamo25then they will make another Ninjago series and another and another
Ninjago has only gotten more complex more ambitious and quite amazing to be frank
The effort put into this this video is appreciated, great video
Its crazy to think how the first lego movie (The Adventures of Clutch Powers) and Ninjago are tied together.
how?
@mrtoxictomato9751 Their was a cameo with Clutch Powers in Ninjago. I don't know the exact episode, but it was a little after New Ninjago city. Also, I'm pretty sure that one of the "symbols" in the movie was on the serpentine staff.
Ninjago lore goes wild
Honestly the lore ending up writing itself into a corner of "Wu struggled for years to find Kai at his parents' blacksmith shop, with whom Wu was very close friends" is very funny
I always loved ninjago. This was the perfect recap!
Bro would be the type of English teacher to actually make you care.
OKAY I STOPPED WATCHING THIS SHOW A WHILE AGO BUT MOTHER FUCKING CLUTH POWERS IS IN THIS SHOW NOW!!!
IM COMING BACK BABY WOOO
I can't believe there are so many seasons I only managed to get up to ghost one growing up
Omg same! I’m so sad that I stopped at that season, I missed so much 😭
Same the cool arc?
Possesion was start of peak Ninjago, and the peak kept going with Skybound (not for everyone but it is a really good season), Day Of The Departed (which was great even for Morro alone), Sons of Garmadon (which had a heartbreaking ending) and then The Hunted (which was straight up perfection). You should try those too, if you have time.
OMG SAMEE
Ninjago story and lore are so convoluted, that even after watching a half and hour video explaining it all cronologically, I still barely understand it.
25:40 thats the reason why crystalized was my fav ninjago season. Becasue every villian and the other groups helps to defeat crystalized army. If someone dont likes it its their choise
Boy has this show gone off the cliffs over 30 times
I’m not gonna lie I sobbed when Zane died
Who doesnt?
My brother has never stopped teasing me about that and we're in college now 💀
Never thought I would hear name “clutch powers” ever again
I remember watching so much ninjago back in elementary school. Now I’m in college.
Bro Ninjago is just one of those shows that each season gets deeper and deeper in lore, and the first 10 seasons is just heat
0:07 General Kenobi!
You are a bold one
What did I just watch. I remember them "defeating" the overlord when I was kid, building some Lego sets and that being that. I'm a whole ass adult now and it's still going?
"Oh, Ninjago! I loved this! Unfortunately I stopped saw it, I wonder what happened."
Half an hour later: "I'm.... not actually that surprised.... but still..... What?"
17:23 I didn’t see Wu get younger in the final episode of Hands of Time when he was battling Krux and Acronix
It was in a short
The ice empire gave me so much nostalgia
I need this video to refresh on the lore and learn about the new stuff that I haven’t watched
Man, this show is so random, i love it!
Thomas and Friends 🤝Ninjago🤝Pokémon🤝Five Nights at Freddy’s
Having an insane amount of lore
it’s one of the most exciting series i’ve ever watched but it’s also one of the saddest
My Childhood. I was there day 1. Me and my friends would act it out, play with toys, etc. Memories
Why doesn't this have a billion views?
21:40 *Lloyd
I lost track after time brothers event.
This is how capitalism works, the sets and the show still slap tho
it is wild how in the ancient time the overlord could plan his next move using garmadon as a vessel for his return and he possesed a serpent to bite garmadons hand and injecting him with pure evil to help him years later
Side note but as a massive Ninjago lore nerd since I was 11, I LOVE the fact we’ve never seen the first spinjitzu masters face, it keeps that cool mystery to his power
I haven’t been caught up with new ninja go cuz I heard they where the movie versions and not the ones I knew. This video will determine my ninjago life
I like how so many things happen close to the same time. It’s a world where there are tones of events that go on at once leading to the future
I stopped watching this show seven or eight years ago and I’m baffled that it’s still going. I might need to get caught up sometime
Seasons 1-6 was peak Lego Ninjago
This is confusing for me, who only watched The original dvds and up until airbound. Thank you for recapping!
*skybound
Zane's death traumatized 8 year old me 😭😭 still the saddest moment in all of tv
My brother still makes fun of my overdramatic sad diary entries about my crush Zane dying from when I was like 12 😂 he doesn't understand that I just wanted to *be* Zane because he was cool though
What this taught me is that if someone dies in Ninjago, no they didn’t.
I watched this as a kid when the final episode was after the Overlord/Garmadon was defeated the first time and haven’t seen it since. I had seen the Clutch Powers movie at the time and thought it was so cool they referenced him in the show I think around the time they were looking for the fang blades BUT I DIDNT KNOW HES ACTUALLY IN IT???
Ahh yes watching a video that will serve no purpose in my life again
20:43 OK- LIKE I left the Ninjago community after Zane first "died" in that final battle with the overlord, so I missed quite a lot WHEN DID THEY MEET *THE* CLUTCH POWERS
crazy how this sounds like an anime if you didn’t know it was a lego show💀
Talk about Macguffins, dear lord there must be fifty something or others of power
Now I know why the merge happened because of the destruction of the realm crystal it kept the realms from crashing or merging with each other
I've got a new little friend who is really into Ninjago, so I'm here to learn about it.
Wait no way, I use to love watching the clutch powers movie, I stopped watching ninjago around the beginning of the oni era so I didn't know that CLUTCH POWERS WAS IN NINJAGO!
Since Jay wished for the entirety of Skybound to be undone and the Teapot of Tyrahn to never be found the writing team could bring Nadakhan back and have a reason as too why
I remember watching the pilot thinking kai was so cool now i am cultured and know the GOAT is Wu
Season 1 : fight some weird snakes
Season 2 : FIGHT THE EMBODIMENT OF ELDRITCH EVIL WHO HAS EXISTED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND FOUGHT GOD HIMSELF
Season 3 first half : computer virus go brrrr
Season 3 second half : FIGHT THE GOD OF ALL EVIL WHO HAS ABSORBED THE POWER OF THE CREATOR TO BECOME UNCHALLENGED
Season 4 first half : hehe fight friends with different skills so fun
Season 4 second half : STOP AN ARMY OF MEGA SNAKES FROM TAKING OVER THE WORLD
I like the effort you put to narrate the story
I didn't know Ninjago continued after Loyd defeated his father and turned him good
19:42 you forgot to add that it was revealed that she was alive because the crystal king/overlord found her and resurrected her
My favorite thing is that each of the four main ninja should be the most powerful after Lloyd gave them an extra duplicate of their power. It is implied in the time travel season that they shoud have unlocked the powers on their own as several times after each ninja loses their power only to unlock it again with out taking back power.
the perfect “last video” of the night
Lets create a show with the only intention of selling…. Proceeds to create a masterpiece of show.
I cant wait for all the new lore we will get in Dragons Rising (source dragons and so on)
As a ninjago fan, I feel like seeing Lloyd grow up from a reckless child to the teacher for young ninjas
Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by the first Spinjitzu master by using the four weapons of Spinjitzu, The Scythe Of Quakes, The Nun-Chucks Of Lightning, The Shurikens Of Ice, The Sword Of Fire. Weapons so strong, noone could handle all of their power at once, When he passed away his sons swore to protect them bit the oldest was consumed by darkness and wanted to posses them. A Battle between brothers broke out but the oldest was struck down and banished to the underworld, peace returned and the younger brother hid the weapons but knowing his older brother's ambition for power, he placed a guardian to rotect them, and for fear from his own demise a map for an honest man to hide, that honest man was your father and the older brother is lord Garmadon and i need to find those weapons before he does
I haven't watched Ninjago for years... THEY HAVE CLUTCH POWERS NOW?!?! ITS TIME TO BINGE
i hate how the series retconned itself as it was first stated that the first spinjitzu master randomly apeared and created ninjago to then birth garmadon and wu that was it
Imagine just how everyone in the studio reacted to the idea for Ninjago
Return of the 87th made up "arch nemesis since the dawn of time"
@@felixnoki1355 Really well said. I wouldn't have minded the show ending after the stone army season because the ending was fantastic and as you said everything was tied up nicely, even though the show would be fairly short. In all honesty I thought up until season 5 it wasnt bad either (season 5 with ghosts actually being my favourite!) but after they stretched it out even more I stopped caring. Great show with wasted potential.
Is ninjago a kids show? Yes
Is it a very well written kids show? Also yes
Am I gonna wach it even though I am not a kid anymore? HELL YEAH
I remember when this show used to be on tv 😢
Holy. I watched a ton of Ninjago when I was younger, and have watched the majority of the seasons. However, I really did NOT know like 80% of what you said outside of what happened in some seasons- in all fairness, I was for most of it younger than 10, but still... anyways yeah I needed this
Ok, holy cow that's a lot to take in. That was essentially "The entire history of ninjago, i guess" and it was all over the place.
First, are you telling me that Clutch Powers, from that movie where they set up a trilogy with no payoff takes place in the same universe as all that??
This show has definitely jumped the shark, and what's worse is that I can't for the life of me work out when that point was. But the minute you said technology was an element, I knew it was definitely too far gone.
