Fun fact: At the end of seabound, it says: "In loving memory of Kirby Morrow" Who was the original voice actor for Cole. Who, if I'm correct, died due to alcohol abuse.
One thing I love about this show is how even though it is marketed towards kids, it still strives to be of a very high quality instead of being a soulless toy commercial
Till the day i die, Ninjago will forever be the greatest show not just for kids, but for anyone, in the history. I love this show so much, and its only gotten better. Better writing, characters, fighting scenes, humor, everything is amazing about this show.
Something I liked about this show is the portrayal and development of the serpentine. Even though they were the first season villains, they weren't all shown as truly evil except pythor, and the humans are *kinda* racist towards them. But this is explained by the fact there was the whole serpentine war which was all orchestrated by Chen, showing that neither side was truly in the right, and now they are shown as normal people.
true, you hear in the trial where the anacondrai are sentenced to banishment that chen told them that the humans wanted war while the humans claimed that chen told them that the serpentine wanted war. by the way, did u notice that mystake is a judge in the trial seen and when the generals ask her for mercy she replied with "mercy? never heard of it!" Then in crystalised, after she fights garmadon as an oni, she's told to surrender by garmadon and she responds "surrender? never heard of it!" The moment this came in my mind it just made the show even more sentimental to me lol
I really really hope we see the serpentine again sometime in the future. They brought back Pythor in Crystallized but that was it.. hoping to see Skales, Fangtom and the others again sometime soon!
well, I was 14 years old when I entered the Ninjago fandom in 2018, so I was pretty old and late and even though it has many plot holes and issues it is an amazing show, especially the Oni-trilogy and s5 grew close to my heart. This show just has something which makes it loveable and special for audience from different ages. Of course, if you watch it the first impression is a kids show, but looking a bit closer it is really dark and deep (especially Lloyd's story line). This combines with many clichés but still unexpected turns makes it just ... special
I was introduced to it back in 2016-2017 when i was 13, and it was through the movie of all things(and because of this i always have a soft spot for it)
Excellently put. As you say, there are plenty of shows that are undoubtedly better written, but even with that said, Ninjago still just hits different. It's baffling that we got a story and character cast this amazing out of a show designed to commercialize toys. And that music video part at the end is pure hype. Well done.
I was 7 when the pilots aired. About 3 months later, I would join a martial arts academy, and would eventually grow up almost right as the Ninja unlocked their true potentials. (I also remember some of the mini-movies that were released not long after.) Rebooted was the first season to be released after my first diagnosis, which I think is why it has such a special place in my mind. That was almost 10 years ago, and I can still remember it almost like it was yesterday. Ninjago also has villains that rival those of the MCU. For example, compare the antagonist of Ninjago's arguably most horror-like season, Morro, to that of the MCU's Multiverse of Madness, Disney. In short, as Master Wu says in Crystalized: Roots, "remarkable. Simply remarkable."
Ninjago will always be a legendary show, and the fact that I’ve been watching it for 11 years and never gotten tired of it is saying something cause I don’t usually commit to shows like that.❤😁
Ninjago may not have the best character development, the most mature stories, or the best fight scenes (even tho it does do all of those pretty well) But one thing that it does better than almost any show I’ve ever watched, is it’s characters. The core 6 characters are some of my favorite fictional characters of all time, they have the greatest interactions their humor is all different, and there’s just never a dull moment with them. There are only a few shows that rival it for me like Stranger things or maybe the SW or Marvel universes
I would argue that all those aspects are there on an individual season to season basis. Like for example: Best character development is in Seasons 1, 5 and 9 and arguably 13 and 15. The most mature stories are Seasons 6, 8-10. Best fight scenes are probably in Season 8, 11 and arguably most of Wildbrain content. Each season is a little inconsistent but in my opinion if you look for all that stuff in parts, you’ll find it :)
I rewatched it from the first season, to the latest season, many times, that I cannot even count the number of times I have rewatched it. This was my childhood.
Seeing good videos about my favourite show makes me so happy I was grinning like an idiot the whole time. I think Season 7 misses the mark because it follows 3 of the best constructed seasons in the original show, with some of the most popular villains and arcs and I'm so glad the writing being unnatural wasn't just me because I noticed it immediately. I wish it was better because Borg is one of my favourite supporting characters (along with Ronin and Dareth) and its some of the most screen time he gets :( I didn't watch Ninjago as a kid because I wasn't really allowed to watch TV on weekdays or after 10-11am on the weekend, so the few times I tuned in the plot made no sense. I also remember feeling uncomfortable about it being a "boys show" because kids at my school were super hung up on gendering media for whatever reason. This easter holidays I gave it a go and finished the whole show in a fortnight LMAO. I'm glad it has an older fanbase because I've fallen in love with it. Absolutely banging show 11/10
The reason for the drop in writing quality in season 7 is because of it being written by the same guy who also wrote Day of the Departed, instead of the Hageman brothers, who wrote the pilots, seasons 1-6 and 8-9, as well as assisted in the development of the story for season 10
I agree I grew up watching the show. I am now 15 and I’m still watching it. I agree with you. This is one of the best Siri I ever had growing up, and I feel like it would be a great show for the next generation.
The nnjago music just brings back so much nostalgia anyone born 2004-2007 basically grew up with the show. From the Final battle to the end of hands of time and then when sons of garmadon came back everything was just perfect
I was there when ninjago was first released. I was 6 years old I would get a nice bottle of warm milk (because it would be late and it helped me sleep since I had sleeping issues) and sit and watch the show. I did that almost everytime a new episode would air. Everytime there was a new season I would get so excited. I miss those days
Ninjago has excellent writing then most kids shows and also has to be one of the top kids shows that actually have many lessons to the show including how each character builds strength with individuals and their powers. Ninjago also has most sentimental topics then most of the shows that are out there. Me being a Ninjago freak and watching it since I was 6, I’m super sad about Ninjago ending and making a new tv series with different character, and plot. “Ninjago will only consist of Lloyd, Arin and Sora in the new Dragons Rising” breaks my heart because Ninjago has gone for 12 years, and now it feels like it is starting over.
@@QUBIQUBEDwell that is what is happening technically, Lloyd Arin and Sora are the only main characters who will stick around consistently but the rest of the ninja will have their own stories, and will get to do things off screen that affect the main plot without having to be forced into a season if the writers have no plans to develop their character within the season.
I remember coming home from school and watching this everyday. Than my family would always get pizza on Friday when the new episodes were releasing, fond memory of watching a show I loved, and eating what I enjoyed. I stopped watching shortly after season 5, but recently came back about a month and a half ago watching the series again. The show is still phenomenal even as an adult I still think its a great show, whether or not nostalgia maybe clouding my judgement, but the creators did an amazing job.
When me and older brother truly love show as this show has been my childhood, jay is been my name also I relate to Jay the most relatable in my opinion
i honestly don't remember when i got into ninjago. i used to watch it with my cousin & brother all the time and, because we are all autistic, it quickly became our shared special interest. i remember staying up until midnight to watch the season 5 intro drop ... IN RUSSIAN. my favourite character had always been cole, but it has since changed to nya as she gained more spotlight. her season, seabound, made me cry so hard. i've always struggled with my identity - and nya's struggle to accept the label put on her by others (the water ninja) really hit me home. her merging with water at the end felt equally cathartic and tragic. i also love cole's evolution, espiecially with his color palette over time. adding orange into his suits may have just been a purely aesthetical design choice, but to me it is something more. through being part of a ninja team, cole learned to let go of being the "tough guy" - knowing he still had the power to protect, but letting others help him when needed. the stray from an all black, edgy, masculine, colours really helped solidify his character arc.
Even crazier is Kai, he was literally the main character, but is the ONLY ninja to have never defeated a main villain, and for focus seasons he got season 4 (which lloyd and garmadon basically hijacked in the last 3 episodes) and shared season 7 and 11.
Even S5 was kinda a Kai Season but he shared with Lloyd and Nya and he was supposed to fight Morro in the Finale but Lloyd hijacked the finale once again
I got into Ninjago kinda late, I was 12 and just binged the whole thing on RUclips just in time for season 6 to drop. I think what made me stay for so long was the character dynamics. I love how the OG 4 ninja see each other as brothers. They all have such well rounded and distinct personalities, and they had defined relationships between each ninja. My favourites are probably Jay and Cole being best friends, Kai and Nya’s protective older sibling energy with Lloyd, and Cole and Master Wu in season 8 and 9. The characters and their dynamics have evolved over time, especially in the newer seasons. They weren’t the most consistent at times, but the interactions always felt so natural?? I think good characters are what makes a story work at all, and Ninjago made the perfect bunch
I love this show so much!! The animation is beautiful. 😍💕 The characters, the setting, the morals, and the action. One big thing I like about Ninjago is that they expand their world into different towns, places, and realms, unlike other shows.
One of my favourite memories of the show is waking up on a school morning to the episode in season 5 where Cole had turned into a ghost. Great memories, great season, great show.
The title is absolutely factual. If i ever have kids I'll try to get ahold of this show for them, genuinely teaches so many important lessons that i still think about today lmao It also motivates accepting others no matter their differences which could make them feel better about their two dads!
Zane is my favourite ninia by far and my favourite season is season 1. I also did the same thing where I used to watch the show, up until s6 where I stopped, then last year I heard that there were newer seasons so I went and rewatched everything from the beginning and caught up with every season now and Ninjago has become my favourite show.
The character work in the first 10 seasons is really good. In every season, the writers have a clear vision of what character they want to focus on. The build up throughout the season is great and then it happens. In one of the final episodes of the season a moment of introspection happens. And the characters come to revelations that just adds more depth to the story and the characters. There are so many examples of this Season 1: Kai's growth throughtout the season which leads to the fantastic "true potential" scene where he finally learns that there are bigger things than himself Season 2: Lloyd and Garmadon's growth culminating in the final battle Season 3: Zane's development and his sacrifice that shows to everyone that even though he was the robot, he was the most human of them all. Season 4: And Zane's identity crisis. Which is concluded in the excellent cave scene Season 5: Nya and her "true potential" scene There are so many examples of the great character work in this show. I could go on and on
I started watching the show in either 2014 or 2015 my first season being Rebooted and I watched it up until like season 5, after that I also forgot about the show. Now a little more than a year ago so same as you, I rewatched all seasons and man what a great show it still is. I'm so glad they're continuing it
I must agree, what the title Ninjago was amazing for me Edit - Nia is by far one of my favorite, then she got her water powers and instantly went to my favorite character
S5 will forever be my favorite season of Ninjago and top 3 seasons of any show, Ninjago IS my childhood I grew up around the same time ninjago started airing and I loved it I remember waking up every saturday to watch a new episode and I remember going nuts when Lloyd got his golden power but I quit the fandom for a bit after S13 because I was watching other things and I wasn't involved with the fandom but I came back in Seabound and rediscovered my love for the show and I cried on the last episode of Crystalized seeing the characters I grew up with leave put many tears in my eyes. My point is Ninjago is a work of brilliance and art it is quite truly beautiful. One thing I hate though is S6 I never watched it because it doesn't matter since the whole season got wished away and they did my boy Jay so dirty in his own focus season😭
I agree with everything you said, well except for season 7 being garbage ( i know that was exaggerated) i thought the plot was cool, even though the dialogue was a bit off. I thought part 1 of crystallized was really good but part 2 not so much, i still enjoyed the season though, it was a fun ride. About the new designs, i really loved all them as well. They looked really cool imo. Cant believe people still hate them. And FINALLY someone mentions the animation. The fight sequences in the later scenes are top tier. Every time i watch them im always mesmerized, like its so satisfying to watch! Its so fluid and the choreography....sooooo gooood! PS. I just finished watching th new season and i really liked it! 9\10 for me
The thing that stuck with me was how the others still saw him as their brother. Helped abolish the racist and queerphobic ideals that were planted in my mind by the pieces of shit I grew up around.
I don’t know if what it was about ninjago, but whenever I watched I got this feeling of peace and whenever Master Wu said the title I got so excited and read it with him bro and I remember yelling at Nya something like, “just put the cup in the water!” when she found out she was the master of water and she was standing on the rocks and when Zane starting singing, that was so funny I rewinded it until it wasn’t anymore and there are so many more memories, crazy how time flies
Master Wu dies in season 17, but I think they will "revive" him some how like using all the elemental powers to make him come back. They probably do this because they find a scroll underneath Imperium.
The show has been a huge oart of my life since I was 6 or 7 I am 17 now and im still obsessed woth the show. Im autistic and i have a really hard time making friends my age but ninjago is such a comfort for me. This may be weord but when I become a dad im gonna force my kids to watch ninjago hahaha
One thing I find very funny about Ninjago is that Cole is my favorite ninja despite him getting so little focus, while my favorite scenes in the show, like the father-son-flashback in Season 1, the finale of Season 3, the scenes of the Ice Emperor in Season 11, all revolve around Zane.
Dialogue in season 7 sucks, but the plot is heavily overhated, last few eps of the season are very strong, all the mystery stuff going on made it really enjoyable, and Acronix and Crux are top 5 villains of the show. Not pinpointing anyone but I feel like most of the fanbase only say that the season is bad to fit in
Many kids just grow up from watching their fav shows, forgetting them. But Ninjago is different, we all watched Ninjago, even though we grew up, we are still watching it to this day, its MORE than a kids show.
I have been following this program since I was very little, it has always been part of my life and even now that I am 14 I always watch it with enthusiasm and pleasure. He has a special place in my heart and will always remain there, he taught me so much❤
I honestly knew it was going to be Lloyd. I also already knew Harumi was coming back in Crystallized after watching half of part one. My reasoning, this show never kills off important characters. Since Lloyd's in love with her, i knew she had to return. But mostly it was the background music. So ya. I'm a genius
If I were to ever make a Top 10 best kid shows list, Ninjago would definitely be on it. Though what the other 9 would be I'd have to brainstorm as there are many out there I watched as a child and teen and need to figure out it from there.
It is both beautiful and heartbreaking to hear Kirby morrows grunts in crystallized. We love you Kirby and your legacy will live on forever.so long old friend 🫡
I have not seen a single episode of Ninjago since I was in elementary school. I kind of want to watch it again to see if I still like it or if I think it's boring. I loved this show and watched every episode and movie and made me draw a bunch of dragons and ninjas and fold a lot of origami ninja stars and throw them around the playground. Good times. Now I got the theme song coming up from the depths of my memories.
I watched the pilots when they aired in kindergarten, after season 2 I thought the show ended. Then season 3 came out and even back then I didn't love it as much as 1&2. Somehow I saw no marketing for season 4 until the preview for the finale, I remember watching the whole season in 1 day. I watched Season 5 weakly just like 1,2,3 and loved it, then I lost cable and couldn't watch it. But I ended up watching it on a friend's Amazon prime, I loved it just like the others. By the time I watched Season 6, season 7 was out on DVD and I couldn't tell you a single thing that happened in that season. I lost interest and have tried to watch season 8 but just can't get into it. Still the best show.
I miss ninjago it was youst iconic the plot and the characters are the best and I'm glad that I could see this show wen I grew up Ninjago will be missed ❤
I remember first watching the show when I w as around 8 years old I was so invested I had wore a different color shirt for every ninja ah man the good old days
I enjoyed season five the most, the loss of their elemental powers that they became dependent on, Nya becoming the water Ninja, Ronin sort of becoming a mentor figure. And Morro possessing Lloyd, it was all enjoyable
Fun fact: At the end of seabound, it says: "In loving memory of Kirby Morrow" Who was the original voice actor for Cole. Who, if I'm correct, died due to alcohol abuse.
RIP. He did a great job with Cole ❤
How is that fun
@Makischai thought it was covid that killed him

I also did the same thing where I used to watch the show, up until s6 where I stopped, then last year I heard that there were newer seasons so I went and rewatched everything from the beginning and caught up with every season now and Ninjago has become my favourite show.
The character work in the first 10 seasons is really good. In every season, the writers have a clear vision of what character they want to focus on. The build up throughout the season is great and then it happens. In one of the final episodes of the season a moment of introspection happens. And the characters come to revelations that just adds more depth to the story and the characters. There are so many examples of this
Season 1: Kai's growth throughtout the season which leads to the fantastic "true potential" scene where he finally learns that there are bigger things than himself
Season 2: Lloyd and Garmadon's growth culminating in the final battle
Season 3: Zane's development and his sacrifice that shows to everyone that even though he was the robot, he was the most human of them all.
Season 4: And Zane's identity crisis. Which is concluded in the excellent cave scene
Season 5: Nya and her "true potential" scene
There are so many examples of the great character work in this show. I could go on and on
Season 5 was the prime of Ninjago
I started watching the show in either 2014 or 2015 my first season being Rebooted and I watched it up until like season 5, after that I also forgot about the show. Now a little more than a year ago so same as you, I rewatched all seasons and man what a great show it still is. I'm so glad they're continuing it
I must agree, what the title Ninjago was amazing for me
Edit - Nia is by far one of my favorite, then she got her water powers and instantly went to my favorite character
I have managed to rewatch ninjago over 4 times, its writing, story, and animation are just too good
I agree with everything you said, well except for season 7 being garbage ( i know that was exaggerated) i thought the plot was cool, even though the dialogue was a bit off.
9\10 for me
So far dragons rising is an 8.5 but I want to judge it when the full season comes ou
Hands of time is so much undeservedly hated, like it's as good as other seasons 🤷🏻
@@TomCritic Yeah its pretty good ngl
Ngl the ending of season 3 was the closest I got to crying to a show as a kid
Just watched the first episode of Dragons Rising today. Love it!!!
Zane being revealed as a robot BLEW my mind as a child
2:06 same lmao the exact same, suddenly stopped watching after season 6 rhen I saw a short abt it ending and I became Zane (unlocking your memories)
I’m just now realising how lucky I am to have a copy of day of the departed.
Master Wu dies in season 17, but I think they will "revive" him some how like using all the elemental powers to make him come back. They probably do this because they find a scroll underneath Imperium.
The show has been a huge oart of my life since I was 6 or 7
I am 17 now and im still obsessed woth the show. Im autistic and i have a really hard time making friends my age but ninjago is such a comfort for me. This may be weord but when I become a dad im gonna force my kids to watch ninjago hahaha
what if you had a nickel for EVERY DRAGON you saw in Ninjago
You would have at least a dollar, maybe two, unless you mean each time a dragon appears, rather than unique design.
@@snakemaster254 yes, everyone tht appears, including all of ultra's 4 heads, and the elemental ones
Mhh 56
Yeah 56
Ninjago is by far the greatest show I had ever watched from childhood till present day.
I love Ninjago and I can confirm this is a commercial series even better then the Super Bowl.
Jay is probably my favorite ninja of the bunch. Zane is a very close second.
Dude insane video I loved it, well edited and accurate, Ninjago is the best kids shows I've ever watched.
Childhood it is and thus show is the masterpiece of the best decade the 2010s
This was a great video. You did a fantastic job at depicting the show and why we love it so much
One thing I find very funny about Ninjago is that Cole is my favorite ninja despite him getting so little focus, while my favorite scenes in the show, like the father-son-flashback in Season 1, the finale of Season 3, the scenes of the Ice Emperor in Season 11, all revolve around Zane.
I’ll bet you liked Master of the Mountain
@@colesephhh9546 Of course.
MAN, i already saw the new season, and let me tell ya something, ITS FCING BEAUTIFUL
Dialogue in season 7 sucks, but the plot is heavily overhated, last few eps of the season are very strong, all the mystery stuff going on made it really enjoyable, and Acronix and Crux are top 5 villains of the show. Not pinpointing anyone but I feel like most of the fanbase only say that the season is bad to fit in
Control time..
Control everything - a time villain
Crux and acronix are some of the worst villains in the show
Ninjago and one piece have a lot in common like how vengestone is the equivalent of sea stone in one piece
I remember binge watching by this show for hours when I was sick when I was like 7. I'm so sad the main group is spilting up 😢😭
We all thought Kai was gonna be the green ninja, let's face it.
Many kids just grow up from watching their fav shows, forgetting them. But Ninjago is different, we all watched Ninjago, even though we grew up, we are still watching it to this day, its MORE than a kids show.
Is it just or is Zane so emotionless in dragons rising he literally has less emotional than pixel early season
ninjago is the best show and you simply cannot change my mind.
Best show ever
I don't think Ninjago should be classed as a kids show
Man I grew up with this. I’ve watched every piece of Ninjago media ever
I have been following this program since I was very little, it has always been part of my life and even now that I am 14 I always watch it with enthusiasm and pleasure. He has a special place in my heart and will always remain there, he taught me so much❤
Amazing video!! As a college girl, Ninjago is my favorite show of all time. Each season is better than the last, and it keeps slaying! 🤌✨
Awesome to find another college girl who enjoys Ninjago! I'm 21 and have been watching it for over ten years!
This show is super solid and still standing the test of time
If Lloyd's element is Energy, that means he uses Green Energy.
Based video. Surprised you didn't talk about morro though, he was actually a pretty well written villain.
One of my favorite parts about ninjago is the soundtrack, every piece is phenomenal
I binged the whole show. No one can spoil stuff about Ninjago to me now because I know everything.
Ninjago was the show I grew with 😊
2:51 my favorte joke in the entire show
I honestly knew it was going to be Lloyd.
I’m sorry but Ninjago is NOT the greatest kids show🙄
🔥It’s the GREATEST show of ALL TIME! (Awesome vid! Plz do more Ninjago content👍🏽)
Yep. Its not a kids show. It's just an animated show
Thank you
You had me there I was gonna write a essay why you were wrong
A show can be good while also being a kids show
I love this series so very much :)
That video worth a like. Insane video 🔥
Damn i love this show. Kai and Lloyd will always be my favorite ninjas and Seasons 4 and 5 highlights why they're the best
I agree with you ! Ninjago is the best kids show. I cant live without it
Imo u can watch it w every age
I was glad to have watched this amazing series from when i was 5 just as the original 4 episodes released
personally as a ninja it is the greatest show
I always get so super giddy when Lloyd has his sword. I don't know why. It just makes me so happy.
Been watching it since i was 12. Still watching it today!
In my opinion the best part of the show is the deep personalities and sad backstories these ninja have despite being marketed as a kid show
I watched the pilots when they aired in kindergarten, after season 2 I thought the show ended.
You know for day of the departed they used to have it on Netflix for like a short amount of time and it was in English so lucky me
12 great years of ninjago
I miss ninjago it was youst iconic the plot and the characters are the best and I'm glad that I could see this show wen I grew up
Ninjago will be missed ❤
I remember first watching the show when I w as around 8 years old I was so invested I had wore a different color shirt for every ninja ah man the good old days
Never before have I heard a more accurate description for Vangelis than "a DnD-Character"
I grew up watching this show♥
This guy is speaking FACTS!
I enjoyed season five the most, the loss of their elemental powers that they became dependent on, Nya becoming the water Ninja, Ronin sort of becoming a mentor figure. And Morro possessing Lloyd, it was all enjoyable
