American food is simply the food Americans generally eat, regardless of where the food originates. Typical American foods are: hamburgers, hotdogs, Tex-Mex, pizza, TV dinners/processed foods, Coca-Cola (fizzy drinks), and cereal, and pancakes/waffles. My favourite American food? All of the above 🥰
Food is the same but at the same time is so different. On my first trip to US West Coast, I was so excited. First, the portions are enormous. Even things like cookies, and muffins as 3 times bigger than in Israel. When I ordered a small coffee I got a cup size that will be considered large in my country. Secondly, filtered brewed coffee. Does not exist anywhere else but in North America. Thirdly, everything goes with cheese, a lot of cheese. The most shocking menu item to me was the combination of eggs and bacon savory with sweet pancakes in the same breakfast. My favorite food is plain black brewed American coffee. I would travel across the sea for it.
I like dark chocolate, cocoa originated in the Americas, things such as chilli peppers and cashew trees originated in the Americas and were spread to South Asia and later the rest of the world by the Portuguese Empire, edible potatoes originated in the Americas and were spread by the British Empire, kidney beans, haricot beans, cannelini beans, tortillas are an Aztec invention, I like all these. Scotch Bonnet Peppers are from the Caribbean, great hot taste, I had one broken up in a stir fry earlier, true not America, but not far off.
Burger but not cheese burgers I am allergic and basically don't eat it I also developed some sort of tyrophobia. I also like vegan burgers I think Americans made a good work on making specifically vegan burgers.
Definitely the mexican-american food 😂😂😂
