    What do you think of this Lexus ES? It's almost classic in the sense that quietness and comfort come before power and performance...it's almost refreshing but still a bummer to only get this 4-cylinder. Aside from that, it was a nice drive!

      I drove both the ES250 AWD and the ES350 with 6-cylinder a few weeks ago. I prefer the ES350 for sure! Disappointing that this 2021 ES does not have the touch screen on the NAV. Lexus HAS CORRECTED this on the new 2022 ES though and given you both options!

    The only "disappointments" for me with the 2022 V6 ES350 has to do with torque steer. The car really should have awd available, or a limited slip for the times I floor it. But...simplicity of operation, durability, reliability, serenity, and comfort is what this car is all about for me. My wife and I have a Miata and GTO, both with manuals and I've had Porsches, and several pickup trucks and SUV's. For comfort, the ES350 makes sense and takes the cake.

    Perforated seats with no cooling are not completely useless. Since leather can retain heat, the perforations can help disperse heat and allow more air flow when you move around. I went from at car that didn’t have them, to one that did. I can tell you it made a big difference.

  • @christhornycroft3686
    @christhornycroft3686 Год назад +1

    These days, all luxury cars should come standard as either AWD or RWD. You should have that option, regardless of the engine. It's frustrating that Lexus doesn't make a V8 anymore, and now their V6 is probably on the way out too. I'm not against electric or hybrid cars, but if you're going fully gas in a luxury car, a naturally aspirated V6 should be the minimum if not a V8. No turbos. Sports cars have turbos, not luxury cars. I find it hard to believe they can't make a fuel efficient V6 or V8 these days. All this technology and they can't make a smooth, naturally aspirated luxury car. Or maybe they can - they'd just rather wimp out. Again, hybrids and electric cars are fine in a luxury car. But if it's not one of those, I don't want to see a 4 cylinder gas engine in a luxury car.

    • @tonysterbenc
      @tonysterbenc Год назад

      Taking your AWD/FWD comment to its logical conclusion, "all luxury car buyers should be denied the choice of an FWD luxury car." If so, buyers would be denied the ES formula of using volume-car cost efficiencies to deliver a convincing big-car luxury experience for $10,000 less than comparably equipped 5 Series, E Class, A6 or G80 competitors. Why?

The hybrid is made in Kentucky and is NOT made as well as the one I had previously that was made in Japan. Worst of all: the standard stereo system is AWFUL. Old person car

      "Yes," said the old person who owns one. It's for old people of all ages -- buyers who want a car that's quiet, comfortable, trouble-free and not especially nimble. Those not looking for those attributes should look elsewhere.

      @@gamingwithsoulcity what are your suggestions? I didn’t show the exterior features, cargo space, front or rear seats, interior features, powertrain details..or how it drives?

    17 inch rims on this car at any trim level is an injustice .Need bumper fog lamps.Ugly trunk lid and clumsy spoiler.Door panels ruined by that big blank different colored piece upholstery .Ugly rim spoke pattern.

    super ugly they have stopped innovating long time ago never investing a penny for R/D

      Actually Lexus still spends a lot innovating and you’d know that if you check out Kirk Kreifels channel after you watch Nolan’s reviews here. Kirk focuses on the innovations coming out of the Japanese manufactures. Lexus IS introducing so many new models and getting into electric cars in a huge way!
