@@redgerran I didn’t like the Super Mario Bros movie I don’t hate the film I just don’t like it the reason why I don’t like the film is because the writing was very flat the pacing was a little bit too fast. Mario felt like a punching bag. Luigi was in a cage whole time and princess peach is a Mary Sue Girl boss And the Peaches song sucks Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy were terrible but they were some things that I enjoyed about the film. The animation was great. The Mario theme music was great, except for the terrible license music. Jack Black and Charlie day we’re pretty good as bowser and Luigi and I’m a massive Mario fan. I love a lot of the Mario games, but the movie Just doesn’t feel like a Mario movie because they separate Luigi away from Mario And princess, peach in the film annoyed me the most because Princess Peach in the film doesn’t really feel like Princess Peach and I struggle to watch the film because of her because Princess Peach in the film felt too much of a girl boss and not girly enough, and for me, personally I Think that the 1993 Super Mario Bros is a lot better than the 2023 version. True The 1993 film is not great, but for me that film felt a little bit more like Mario when the actual Mario movie itself. So yeah I didn’t like the Mario movie and I give the Mario movie a 5.8 out of 10 and the movie is very mid
I didn't really liked it and thought it got way too much credit. The characters don’t really develop, the story has many plot holes and the pacing was the worst part. I would’ve liked it if the movie had an extra 15 minutes and if the other characters had actual character development. Like Mario realizing he doesn’t need to be perfect or Luigi learning to be brave and peach learning that even she needs help. The movie didn’t had to be perfect but it also could have also been great
I think the main reason Mario in the movie wasn't like he was in the games is because Mario never had an actual personality. Like in the games, he doesn't even talk most of the time, other than his catchphrases. But I agree that he didn't have enough strong moments in the movie, and that Peach basically stole his role. And damn, I'd frickin' love if Luigi had his own subline.
I think the characters were ok, Mario wasn’t to bad of a character because he had just got to the mushroom kingdom, he didn’t understand what was happening although I do kinda understand the Luigi criticism
What about the criticism for peach she was horrible in the movie she felt more like the protagonist than Mario like what in half of the movie I literally was questioning if I was watching a Mario movie or a Peach movie
She saves them in Princess Peach showtime too, but she has practically no weaknesses in the Mario movie, which I believe to be a major overcorrection by the script writers.
I don’t agree with this sure it might have been fast but its really good and fun and the visuals are great and the dog scene is so funny 😂 and Aton of references
as a hardcore mario fan, i feel like the mario movie didn't really accomplish anything. it just kinda exists as a showcase of animation, rather than showing us what a good mario narrative could look like.
@@redgerran To be fair princess peach did live in the mushroom kingdom for a long while, mario had visited there for the first time. Peach being a strong female character was also always implied in all of the shows and some of the lore too.

Did you enjoy the Mario movie?
I liked it at first but after a few days I realized it was more mediocre than it should be.
I watched it for the Easter eggs

Yes.

Now thats a valid criticism
Mario was pretty good but I really hope they learn from there mistakes so there future movies can go from pretty good to master pieces
I legit loved this movie, I don't understand why it's hated

I still want to know how and why Lumalee was in the movie. Their appearance in the film was very jarring and it didn't lead to anything.
This is my opinion to the movie, it is amazing and has great animation and by the way Nintendo says they are releasing the next movie trailer
The Movie is great
I can understand why they didn't make The Movie Versions like Thier Game Versions
The Final Battle is insane
But in mario 3d world peach saves people

@@redgerranI refuse to say it's a mediocre movie, but yeah, I agree, peach wasn't that great in the film. Hopefully in the second movie they fix it.

I love the movie tbh
I agree. It was amplified by the low critic ratings.
They just saw the Sonic movies's success and decided to try and copy it's decent shine.

ok
i didnt like my own comment
im fine with mario being a bit weak and a loser in this, mario had to start somewhere, lets be real here.
Sure, he has to start somewhere, but I think they took it too far and made him an absolute chump until Peach came along.
