This won't last long.. awesome price.. the $450 extra cost monthly is too high. But for what you get really can't beat it.. great penthouse

I would never spend that much on a property that wasn't beach access or have land! And the monthly fees, forget it 😅..am so glad Yucatan will require real state license with verification and classes for all realtors now

Why all the complaining about fees and heat? This place would be about 4 million in Los Angeles! The Association fees are not that bad. You could Air BnB this and pay the HOA fees. As far as heat is concerned, you can always stay inside when it's hot or go out in the evening. Too many complainers. The price reflects everything people complain about, so this is still a good bargin, considering the negatives.

I see Mexico getting more and more expensive... most people will not be able to afford it...definitely not the locals and that brings animosity towards the expats at some point!!!

It's a false narrative that 'gringos' are driving up the costs (not exactly true), but expats make for a great 'common enemy'

Actually the most expensive houses and apartments here are generally owned by Mexicans. And Mexico is very welcoming to expats.
Some areas in Mexico are very affordable like Merida, that along with how safe it is makes it a very attractive choice for everyone. But cities like Monterrey in municipalities like San Pedro Garza García for example and CDMX Polanco and La Herradura are as expensive as the most expensive cities in the US.

In Merida, I still wouldn't pay $659k for a condo.

Yeah, someone could be in Puerto Vallarta or Bucerias closer to the beach for that price.

I wouldn't do that in Mexico either. I would go somewhere else in the world where I can get more bang for my money. I need land attached; otherwise, why would I spend that much?

I would never pay over 200k anywhere in Mexico. Totally agree.

Great weather?? Merida is a fantastic little city, but what keeps most from picking it is the weather. Hot as hell, and I spent 40 years in south Florida.
    It’s other worldly hot there.
Lots of great selling points for Merida, but, the weather isn’t one of them.

Agree. The weather can't be downplayed here. But it's kinda good in that it keeps a lot of people out; and those who survive the first year or two end up leaving sooner or later due to the heat. Keeps it from getting toooo big

I'm sure everyone enjoy sitting and lying in the sun up on the rooftop when it's 115 and 120° there, only fools would buy that place, people with more money than brains.
