Nobuo Uematsu only composed the main theme for Rebirth and remake he does not do full soundtracks anymore, in the interview they are talking about him returning to make the main theme for part 3
Except he said that he did comeback in full force despite this expectation of his.
he did compose for the OG so I doubt he would let his work be tainted and he will probably work close to the other composers just to get it right in the modern era.

I've been thinking that everything is building up to cloud and Tifa in the life stream and how Tifa helps him rebuild his memories. That's a lot of work
You can't really do a dlc about Vincent's Turk days because that goes into spoilers about Sephiroth and Hojo.
Yes I know that they are plot twists that have existed since the original but you notice how Vincent only alluded to Lucrecia by referring to her as a female scientist in Rebirth (and then gets noticeably defensive when Barrett implies that she's just as bad as Hojo).
They won't want to reveal the truth about Sephiroth's true parentage until Part 3
Spoilers wouldn't stop modern Square. If it's a possibility to bloat the FFVII series further, they'll leap at it.

We really need a long Zack DLC to cover his past as we have gotten from Cloud as a child. I think it's important to see all aspects of Zack too as Cloud pretty much looked to Zack like a big brother and plays a major role in Cloud's life. Also see exactly what other things Zack is doing behind the scenes.
@@TravaillesDuChanson i have all ff 7 games including ff7 reunion, that game is all about zack and his missons together with Angeal(former official owner of the Bustersword) and with the turks, and how he ended up meeting cloud thats also where rebirth starts the both of them walking towards midgar( zacks opening scene, before he goes after aerith), ps.i think the order of ff7 is like this: 1 reunion 2 og/remake then rebirth and next part 3

You'd be correct. FF7 Crisis Core was the prequel game, and that was FINALLY remastered and freed from its prison on the PSP. Parts of it are irritating IMO but it's worth playing.

I was initially very upset with the way they handled that last scene but the more i think about... it kind of makes sense, i think they are clearly setting up the stage for the next game where Cloud will have to face all his inner demons, they want the players to experience what truly happened through Clouds own recollection in real time, that's when we will see the classic water burial scene as a flashback, is my guess...
yeh i think people are being too harsh on this ending. This is a new thing they're trying, not to just give us the OG cut scenes in 4k
Backstory for both Cid and Vincent would be nice and it could be interesting to get a taste of what they are capable of and then by the time part 3 releases they could really flesh out their moves even more by determining what worked and what didn't or what fans liked, didn't like, and what they want. If they do DLC one for Cid and one for Vincent would be a must but they are not the only characters that deserve a DLC; also how do we know that they are the only characters we will be getting in part 3 that are new? We got Zack at the end which means we could potentially get him as playable character and let's not forget other potential characters such as Shelke the Transparent who ends up becoming an ally to Vincent.
Other DLCs that expand the universe would also be interesting such as for characters like Evan Townsend which Kyrie, her grandmother, and Leslie are already in the trilogy. This would be a chance for the player to get to know him and learn his story and potentially use it to tie him in with the broader narrative and also see how this new fate may affect him as well as Kyrie and Leslie who ultimately become his best friends. We also have the Turks and Before Crisis where new characters could potentially be introduced. Lots of possibilites and not to mention and expansion for Zack's story DLC.
I'm also thinking with FF VII being SE's biggest cash cow, I can't really see them ending the remake series... without giving a final epiologue future arc sequel to the trilogy. Despite the fatigue they have, after a rest from finishing part 3... a potential sequel to the trilogy to tie all loose ends may be purposely left open just for the option.
I kinda wish they give some spinoff dlc instead, like Vincent during his Turks days. This would allow us to experience his basic movesets without spoiling the rest of his post experiment moveset.And keep it spoiler free so it'll be before he reached Shinra mansion for his bodyguard job. Then some flying minigame as young Cid as he becomes a profesional pilot.
You do realise his moveset changes dramaticaly after the change ei completely. Since it's the last game he should have chaos. Theres an argument there for him being the strongest party member. Doubt they will go the og berserk route of his lbs. Since in og he was a shooter, caster hybrid who had berserk lb till fight end I would go with a new gimmick to him. They will either custom spells to his kit or add his shapeshifts to normal set. Berserker lb is a hard no in my opinion.
@@wmen48 that's why it's a spinoff dlc. Turks Vincent should be a sharpshooter agent class so his atb skills could probably use gadgets instead. For the part 3 version of him, I wonder if he could have some partial transformation as atb skills( like Cait's moogle) kinda like some melee skills have Galian Beast aura without transforming. His limit probably works like summons but I rather not lose the ability to control him

@@wmen48 I can see as berserker he would probably have skills that expend his hp for huge damage and some skills that siphons enemy hp just for being a bit vampire-like(yeah he's not vampire but he's acting like one 😆)
If they do a dlc, I hope it's Vincent and lucrecia's story. Play as Vincent through that hell, the creation of sephiroth, and the birth of what Vincent becomes. Ending with the knocking on his coffin by cloud and waking up.
Then we'd still have Cid to explore and play all new in part 3
I'd much rather they work Lucrecia into the main plot, as she's very important connective tissue to Vincent, Sephiroth, Hojo, Gast, Jenova, and the Weapons, all of whom are very significant.
The one thing I don’t hear people talking about when it comes to the dlc is it doesn’t have to be Vincent or cid. I wouldn’t mind a Zack dlc a short two chapters tying into the 3rd game whatever his role may be the dlc could be used to tie up loose ends on zacks side and give us a better understanding and relieving some of the pressure part 3 is gonna have to tie up so much.
The scenes with Aerith and cloud never HAPPENED. In fact, I'd be willing to bet the whole GAME is just Cloud's subconscious trying to deny Aerith's death, while he floats in the lifestream after it destroys Mideel.
I believe that too and that Whispers are constructs of his mind to make him believe he can change fate. My bet is that the comatose Cloud with Zack is the part of Cloud that is broken and the young Cloud we see at Tifa's trial is the real self of Cloud hiding there. Remember the original game. The true self of Cloud was always represented by his childhood self.
He's even crazier than Isaac Clarke, and that's sayin somthin.

I think the Aerith Cloud see's at the end is Jenova messing with Clouds head. Just like Sephiroth, and Jenova messed with his head in the Sleeping forest dream.
If we get intermission DLC with one featuring cid and another with Vincent, that would be sick!
(Spoiler warning for Rebirth and Chrono Trigger) Part of me is hoping this sets up a Chrono Trigger-esque means to bring back Aerith in part 3. In Chrono Trigger, the main character ACTUALLY dies and through a series of subquests the party is able to obtain a life-like doll of Chrono and happens upon a time gate that goes to the exact moment Chrono dies. The party is then able to swap the real Chrono with the doll and bring him back to the present. While Chrono Trigger's plot is very different, the way Remake is retelling the story opens some narrative routes through which Aerith can be brought back without magically resurrecting her or otherwise retconning/cheapening her death.
At first i did not wanted them to do that, but now that i went through all those emotions, i want her back and go full romance with Cloud 😅❤
@@SylvainGrannary I was torn on it myself. What I dont want is for her to be brought back in a way that cheapens her death or even cheapens death in the FF7 universe in general. It was acceptable in CT because bringing back Chrono was a one time thing that cant really be repeated in that universe. Not like the Dragon Ball universe where death is basically inconsequential at this point
@@tehlazinessThey could "bring her back", but the writing (justification, build-up, misdirection, scene-execution, etc) would have to be SO SPOT-ON and SO perfectly-done that tbh..... looking at how miserable Nomura was, 1) I don't know if the FF team quite frankly has the skill to do such a thing, and 2) probably desperately overworked as they are, I'm not sure if they have the energy to think out all the intricacies it would take to pull off such an incredible trick-shot.
One mid-point that could be achieved with less-rigorous writing, is a scene where Aerith's spirit "punches through" the lifestream to battle alongside the team against some advanced, multiversal, Remake-Only shenanigans that Sephiroth tries to pull.
That way, we get a heartfelt ACTUAL reunion with Aerith which doesn't cheapen her death, doesn't disrupt the original timeline, and gives the team a much softer landing about her death while staying consistent with the theme of 'loss' AND transmutes the theme of brutal-cut-and-dry "Loss" into a more meaningful and hopeful one of "Sacrifice". It would also link back up with Advent Children, because naturally She and Zach are gonna find eachother in the Lifesteam, as shown in the late scene in that movie.
Actually the more I think about it, the more sure I am that this is exactly what they're gonna do.
I think the multiverse battles against Sephiroth at the end of RB were a teaser for this.

I think it's too simple of an explanation to just look at the credits and say "that's a reflection of Cloud's mental state". It can be interpreted as a sequence of events that the party and associates witnessed as well. After-all Cloud wasn't at Shinra Inc. witnessing Col. Lodbrock talk to Rufus. We know Cloud has memory issues, and isn't a trustworthy narrator, but Tifa claims she has memory problems too, OH and lets not forget Aerith and Red talking about their loss of memory from Remake to Rebirth in Casa De Jonny if Cloud listens in on them. Then there is the fact that Aerith has this clear Materia that lost it's cloudy glow and is clear, and Materia is the memory of the planet from the lifestream in solid form. Come to think of it Memories play an important role for just about everyone in Rebirth and Remake including the gamer themselves as they are to remember the events of the OG and reconcile it with the new game. Not everything is the same and the Whispers during remake were playing a role of trying to keep that on track, but in Rebirth the whispers are Sephiroth's to control as far as we know. (Via assessing the last boss).A loit of people say they want Cloud to come to this devastating realization during the Mideel scene that Aerith is dead, but what purpose does that serve rather than him processing it on the spot as he did in the OG? It's been stated by the developers in the past that the OG is the bad ending to the game, and to follow that bad ending up with got Advent Children and a Cloud that is emotionally disconnected from TIfa and the party because he's mourning Aerith. So much so, that Cloud isn't even sharing a space with Tifa, and he's basically camping out in Aerith's church. He's eternally pissed at Sephiroth for killing her, and that is the catalyst that allows Advent Children to even narratively take place. At the end of AC Cloud is shot, and then were brought back into church for the ending scene. What if we're more or less witnessing a memory / dream of the events of the OG played out slightly differently POST Advent Children? That when Sephiroth took Cloud to see the "True Nature of Reality" he wasn't bluffing? They're both in the lifestream at this point, and all of these "worlds" are different memories of events that have occured or desires that were intended to be fulfilled but weren't? Something like that neatly explains all the various different "worlds" were seeing, and the presence of Zack. It also explains how both Sephiroth and Aerith were seemingly aware of the events of the OG including Aerith's own death, and how cloud became aware of the scene of the Holy Materia falling in the water WELL Before it happened. Then we're not in a MCU multiple timeline hysteria, we're all in the FFVII lifestream which is the only constant across all the various worlds. Sephiroth in order to absorb this lifestream needs negative emotions and feelings to persist, and that's what stengthens him. I think Rebirtth was showing us this much.
I just wish Vincent would have fought in the background. Red 13 did this in remake...he wasn't playable but at least he helped in combat even if you couldn't control him. Vincent just randomly showing up after hard battles like nothing happened was a little weird for me... but excited for part 3
I think it touches on his personality. He's not really part of the party yet, but he is seeing the trial and tribulations the party is going through and what their cause is. I feel when he jumps in and helps, like when he helps Tifa keep the portal open, it is him feeling compelled to help. When they show him alone in a handful of scenes I think it shows that he is with the group but still doing his own thing. Recon and what not. I can't wait for part 3 tho!
Cloud breached the fate and created another world where he saved Aerith. Aerith who woke up is alive in alternate world and main world Cloud can't handle the fact that main world Aerith died so he is hallucinating.

That's my take on it as well. The moment he deflected the attack, it created another reality where she survived and somehow Cloud is able to perceive both realities at once. That explains the fractured sky not being seen by the rest of the party AND how Red was able to perceive Aerith.
Another reason why the Yuffie DLC was a good idea was that it helped give her actual character development. In the OG, she never really had any purpose apart from getting her hands on as much materia as possible by any means necessary. Even if you went with her to Wutai, that still doesn't really change. Remake and in tern Rebirth rectified that by giving Yuffie actual character development. Vincent on the other hand, while also an optional character in the OG, still had that. It might not have been as in depth as DOC, but their was still enough backstory and development for him.
More than that, though, even if they wanted to do a DLC, what would it be about? Sure, you could do one for Vincent and/or Cid, but that would little for the imagination for their move sets. Can't tie in Deepground with the way they ended the game, at least not well. If anything, saving it all for the next game just makes sense at the moment.

@@lvl99vivi23 It might not be as a DLC, but if we're reigniting the war with Wutai, I can see Deepground being involved to counter them. We need to close out Yuffie's development somehow, and it wouldn't seem right if she didn't get a rematch with Nero.
Why is there no day and night cycle or even a weather system in this world and yet the community not complain to Square enix can you imagine if we did, they would implement the patch like in final fantasy 15 it has so much atmosphere

You know the ending and the credits sequence being meta as they are may have rankled some fans; it actually makes me just as excited for the third part as ever!
We don’t really know what we’re gonna experience in spite of the realm of familiarity that will also be present in part 3.
I really think the dev team wanted fans to discuss wildly about the most famous scene in the game and video games in general to keep them guessing how the third game will go thus generating more hype for it.
At least for me; it’s working! I continue waiting every day excitedly for Part 3 and I’m loving it!!

Does anyone else think that the different worlds merged and that when Aerith died the livestream will awaken her in the lifeless body Zack and Elmyra are caring for. That way Zack ,Aerith, and Biggs can rejoin the group to fight Sephiroth this time around.
@user-rp7um5hx7i Quotes I saw most said “link up” to AC. Semantics I know; and that different wording could be a mistake or translation error, but sounds like a way to conceal that this trilogy is connected to AC in a way other than just being chronologically right before Advent Children. Eg, Sephiroth and maybe Aerith projecting their consciousness through the lifestream from post AC back to Remakes start or something. I don’t 100% buy the idea that the end of part 3 necessarily leads into Advent Children the way OG ff7 did.

I was thinking specifically of an interview in Guardian September 2023 about OG and the remake trilogy with Tetsuya Nomura that quoted him saying about Remake trilogy, “If you play right through to the end, it will link up with Advent Children. So you don’t need to worry about that.”
I’m just saying I suspect that ‘link up’ wording is careful enough on Nomura’s part to potentially mean AC is connected to this trilogy but not in the more obvious way where it follows chronologically right after part 3 is all. But there may be other dev quotes or a differing translation of this one that spell out that AC is meant to happen right after part 3 of this remake chronologically just like OG. I can’t be sure and you may have more accurate info on this.
Aerith, Sephiroth, Zack will be playable in part 3. And give me Aerith with her hair down, the flower pin, her ultimate weapon Princess Guard and Level 4 Limit Break, Great Gospel. Anyone knows how Aerith fights with Princess Guard, has me super excited. 🎉
They ommited some of the scenes because they took place in a different timeline. There's the og timeline where Aerith casts holy and dies and the parallel timeline where Cloud saves her and she doesn't cast holy. That's why at the end he can see the rip in the sky but Barrett and the others can't. Cloud isn't losing his mind, he's living in two seperate timelines simultaneously. Your theory is totally off

There are tons of hints that choices matter.
Zack, loveless, Cait Sith's readings (LIKE COME ON), Queen's blood (actually spoils what will happen), the rainbow motif...
Cloud is taken to a different universe. Brings back a white materia that should not exist in his world anymore.
He's the only one that goes through the wall of fate. The rest of the party only move after the fate breaking decision by Cloud happens. Before they go through it Cloud is inside a rainbow motif circle holding aerith. This means he's inside a world changing event. After the wall of fate disappears, so does the rainbow circle.
In remake, going through the wall of fate changed Zack's fate. In rebirth it changed Aerith's. In the next game it'll change Cloud's.
Loveless is a story about events that parallel the ones of FF7 story. One hero dies before the start of journey (zack). Another during it (aerith). The other becomes a prisoner (cloud). Cloud is a prisoner of his guilt and lack of self confidence. The only way to change cloud's fate is to prevent what causes him to become a prisoner to his mind. To change the events of Nibelheim. Doing this also defeats Sephiroth as the only way he can manifest is through Cloud's memories of him which are related to his negative feelings.
My take is that the hollow materia cloud has at the end of rebirth will contain his memories and experience and find it's way to Cloud before Nibelheim, preventing it's events and saving Sephiroth (forgiveness is a theme in rebirth).
Also queen's blood teases what will happen in the next game.
Regina is Cloud, Lidehl is Sephiroth, The witch is Aerith and the Queen is Jenova.

@@Oimae She definitely alive. I just replayed some of the ending again and when she's on the date with cloud she talks about a homecoming, and then says a dream of hers and to humor her. Sephiroth also mentions homecoming many times so what's likely being alluded to is the reunion of the timelines so Sephiroth can win or the main cast can win it all, a homecoming. Also, during the date when they go to the church Aerith pushes Cloud through a rainbow hole in the ground into another parallel universe as Sephiroth enters the church. She directly moved him to a different timeline with the white materia. Sephiroth also says this is where you've been hiding, In a world that's accepted its fate, during their date in the different universe in the earlier part of date. This show's two things: Aerith (or some versions of her) can jump universes to hide from Sephiroth and that she can move Cloud from one universe to another, with physical objects. Sephiroth can do this as well, when he cuts the ground below Zack before entering Church and sends him to another universe, white whispers who work with Aerith also seemed to help Zack connect with Cloud. Then the lack of blood and her opening her eyes during stab scene, indicates she shifted herself to another universe or replaced herself with a dead version to trick or escape Sephiroth. She even says thank you to Cloud for what he did when she shows up to fight Sephiroth. Finally, a real Aerith (Red senses her) shows up and tells Cloud she will be okay to find her way back after Cloud asks her if she will be able to. She says it's like a second home (since a parallel universe most likely and also a world that has accepted it's fate, since Cloud can see rainbow crack in sky while seeing Aerith.) She is literally hiding like in the date universe and Cloud can see her and she will find her way back home (the homecoming Aerith and Sephiroth refer to) in the reunion of the timelines or just before the timelines merge to fight Sephiroth and give the happy ending with a twist that director said he hoped to give the cast when making the games. She really did open her eyes, just in a different universe getting ready to come back and cast pray to save it in the final battle, though she may have not expected Cloud to defy fate and actually save her there by her saying I saw what you did there and thank you (another allusion to fact that multiple Aeriths are working to save timelines/planet lifestream as she saw events of Cloud saving her). 4d Chess manipulation. Lots more could add but if search below covers a lot too.

@@Sir.Endipity if you want further proof look at the sephiroth reborn fight. Sephiroth fights in 3 planes of existance. One with cloud, one with the rest of the party and one with zack.
The one with the rest of the party is from the timeline where aerith survives. We can tell this is happening because the party specifically mentions they can't find cloud. You should pay attention to that. Even when cloud is consciously seeing another plane of existance like zack world (during his dream at the golden saucer) or aerith's, he's still in his original plane of existance.
You can see this when cloud's conscience return during the temple of ancients. Barret was carrying him the whole time.
We know through zack that sephiroth can transport people to another plane of existance.
The party cannot find cloud because that party is the one that passed the wall of fate after cloud saved aerith.
It stands to reason that if it was the party we see after the fight, they'd know where cloud is
Just focus on the third game and then do dlc later. After the trilogy is finished they can make miles morales type games for different characters like a Vincent game.
I cant wait until Cloud gets his therapy from Tifa. In the OG, it felt like a huge weight was lifted knowing it was just Cloud from then on and not any of the Sephiroth/Jenova psychological baggage.
Just fix the bug for rebirth ultimate party animal already…

I bet them chilling by the water is after they laid Aerith to rest in the water and Cloud is blocking it out. That’s why Aerith seemed so weird in those moments. Also we will see this laying Aerith to rest scene when cloud and Tifa fall into the lifestream.

I have no doubt that aerith cloud is seeing post death is jenova. The one issue that conflicts with this though is fact that she touches nanaki by plane and he reacts to her presence too. But as was brought to my attention recently, he also was a hojo lab rat and no doubt has some jenova influence, just not degraded as far as cloud. That said, I also think that aerith is behind the white whispers, and not our aerith but OG aerith. My theory is that from beginning of remake all the way through rebirth. The aerith that's been dead longest in lifestream, is manipulating some events as best she can. She's controlling the white whispers and weapons. She's reason they both intervened to help tifa when she "fell" into lifestream. She's one that was sending flashes in remake warning about pillar following or meteor and sephiroth in shinra headquarters.
I actually think we're gonna discover that OG sephiroth and og aerith are the catalysts to this entire reboot. BOTH are in lifestream and both trying to change fate. Both had minor influence in remake as fates chains hadn't been removed yet. Both aerith and sephiroth at end of remake also pushed to break that hackle though (although with a small hestitation from aerith at first since it's likely she still had her doubts).
One those shackles were broken though, both OGs began their effort to enact their own hope for fate and both hijacking the fate wisps to their own ends (the birth of black and white ones). sephiroth had a head start though cause he seems unified entirety of rebirth. IE every version of himself have merged into one. As we see in final fight, there is one sephiroth across all timelines. Aerith for much of rebirth was fragmented and unable to access knowledge she should have. They emphasize this a lot btw. It's not until each version of her dies and enters life stream that they join with the OG aerith and gain access to the collective knowledge of all timeline aeriths and see what needs doing.
I believe aerith has accepted he fate that she needs to die, all of her selves, to achieve this. In part 3 will come to understand that her roll is a unified (very dead) aerith dealing with sephiroth in life stream while the beagle universe party handles him in the living one. After all, we all know that sephiroth too is very much dead and only able to influence living universe through his jenova cell infused hojo clones while his physical form is awaiting rebirth in the northern crater.
Nah she's really Aerith. She body jumped to Zack's timeilne and is astrally projecting to Cloud. She's becoming atemporal just like Sephiroth
Making that Aerith Jenova would be a) too cruel and b) undercut the significance of Cloud having to deal with his denial defensive mechanism/psychosis by attributing it to "wacky alien magic." I wouldn't be surprised if they did it, but I really hope they don't.

As someone who played the original I would have liked the Sleeping Forest to be similar to how they did it in the original. It was dissapointing that the Forgotten Captial was not an explorable. I hope they fix that with the next one or even DLC.

Everyone pushing this theory neglects to explain how Red was able to perceive her in that final scene, if it was all in Cloud's fractured mind.
To me the scene with Aerith is actually like everything else in the ending ambiguous in presentation. Its not showing or emphasizing either her being alive or dead, no blood, no wounds, or anything. Its just Cloud holding Aerith from a zoomed out perspective that can even be used as promo material in the future, because of the ambiguous-ness of it. So its really not showing anything in that regard. But on the Cloud side of things, there's no ground to argue that he isn't mentally screwed just by nature of him across all the games. To me the omissions are continuing the "did she die/did she survive", which at this point I'm expecting them to continue all the way till part 3.
Devs talked about unreliable world emphasized over unreliable narrator for the remake trilogy. So while Cloud may be degrading, Tifa, Barret see things they shouldn't and Red feeling Aerith... something? For a reason. Its going to be a long 3 years. Looking forward to the notes in the Rebirth Ultimania later this month. 🎉 Multiple parts or aspects of theories could be true. It may be also true that Cloud is in between worlds. I don't know that we can slice that ending any other way than Aerith died. Cloud's exposure to the White Lifestream is what gives him the ability to see Aerith in the city post-mortem (as this place is rife with white lifestream energy.) It's quite clear she died, even though they played it much closer this time around. The only real loose end is how they plan to converge the damned world we're in now and the world of the white lifestream (where all of Zack and Biggs' story takes place.)
I don’t think it’s so clear cut. Without going to deep into it, very simply there are 4+ versions of stamp during the ending showcasing many world iterations. So just like Zack, she could be alive somewhere. Definitely dead in the main world we follow tho if that’s what you meant.
Also sephiroth explains there are multiple realities. Which creates a lot of possibilities, or… loose ends.

The Black Lifestream/Whispers World that we're in now, The Black Materia World of the Original and the White Lifestream/Whispers World in which Biggs, Zack and now Aerith exist. Dude... I haven't seen one person cover what I'm about to say... Aerith is alive. Well, in the other convergence... The ending told it perfectly in my opinion. Cloud told her to wake up and she did. She fought alongside Cloud in the final encounter... this was the ONLY time Sephiroth EVER complimented Aerith saying "I seemed to have underestimated you..." Why would he say that to a dead woman? I think she played the system JUST like Sephiroth did. This wasn't her spirit or whatever... she fought with him. At no other time in the game's lore has the lifestream given FORM to a person... but when the fight concluded, she faded away... or did she just dissipate from his timeline for the time being? Then afterwards, Cloud sees the crack...yet no one else does... just like he's the only one who can see Aerith. So unless the crack in the sky is some stupid representation of Cloud's mind (which wouldn't make sense since Zack/Biggs/Midgar saw the same crack in the other timeline), then Cloud is now connected to BOTH timelines... which completes what the title of this whole game is: Rebirth. Marlene said If Aerith dies, she'll wake up there. But it was never clear that they died when they fell from the tree thing. My theory is this: The convergence is not complete. Sephiroth failed and Aerith used the same system Sephiroth did to come back for herself and the Aerith we saw die, was the one from the original game--NOT the Aerith from the new timeline. It only appears to the world that Aerith died. Call it a swap or whatever you want, but it's the ONLY way the title of "Rebirth" makes sense!

But anyhow she's not really any different from the OG FFVII's Aerith. At the end of the PS1 game you see Aerith's face and know she's still "around" somehow in a way which other characters are not (everyone who dies remerged with the lifestream but Aerith doesn't seem to have done.) I think Aerith accepts her fate, but it is Cloud's love for her which has kept her from merging with the Lifestream. In Remake's ghost Aerith scene she urges Cloud to not fall in love with her, and his reply is "Don't I get a say in this?" implying that while Aerith accepts her fate and cautions Cloud about it, he rebukes that fate and embraces his own free will to decide what he wants. Aerith is selfless and does what the will of the planet wishes, including accepting her own demise, but its her gentle spirit which has kept her alive, since Cloud's love for Aerith is saving her. Much like Cloud's fear of Sephiroth is keeping him alive too. Cloud's love for her gave him the strength to break through the whispers and stop Sephiroth's blade, but there's the other side of Cloud who is too consumed by rage he is at the mercy of Sephiroth's will, and both these things are true at the same time, and both are why Aerith and Sephiroth persist after death.
@@ash_yt0 I disagree. None of the imagery supports her fighting alongside of you. If it was just her spirit that refreshed Cloud or gave him heightened powers, I'd agree. But she fought next to Cloud and Sephiroth said he "underestimated her," which makes no sense if she's dead.

Also yeah they explained that people can be both alive and dead at the same time in different worlds. Aerith is alive in the lifestream of the planet, but she is no longer alive in the world of the main party. Cloud can only reunite with her at the edge of creation where all worlds can merge together. She arrives on Sephiroth's destroyed, broken barren world, and reinvigorates it with life turning the surface back to normal and filling it with water the essence of life symbolically etc.

Tldr: Aerith is alive and well specifically in Zach's reality and Cloud is able to see between the veil
My theory is that the gaps are indicative of the multiple timelines.
The final battle encompasses a convergence of realities where Zach joins the fray, in original settings Zach is dead, but in the alternative setting he's alive. I speculate that the moment of Aeriths passing, she awoke in Zach's reality.
Please reference the visual from Advent Children where Aerith and Zach are seen together at the end and only Cloud is able to see them.

DoC takes place after the events of the main game and Advent Children. That wouldn't work here. Plus, DoC was a massive failure.

Aerith had to die to go back to the planet and help to stop the meteor leaving Saphiroth to Cloud.
But in the end of the game Cloud gets the info dump and experiences it so. So he knows. I don't think he just... Forgot it. No indcation of that really imo. So I don't see how this new wrinkle will break his mind or whatever but we will see.
If there's to be dlc, I wouldn't be surprised if it's based on Zack's journey through Disc 1.

I think Aerith is alive, two timelines were made when Cloud stopped Sephiroth's sword, in the main timeline she is saved and that is why we see in the credits the scene were she wakes up, the ending of the game was just the secondary timeline in which she died and Sephiroth managed to take control via Cloud of the black Materia.

I don't want any DLC in FF. DLC can't be preserved well, and it can also never be incorporated into the base game post-release. FF16 saw content that was so blatantly cut out to be DLC, I literally said while playing 16 and seeing certain things: wow Leviathan is gonna be DLC, huh? The FF15 DLC is digital only. Do you know what happened to the Dissidia PSP DLC and the 13-2 and Lightning Returns DLC? Cause I don't.

Honestly I'm glad that in this modern era of DLC, battlepasses and seasonal nonsense, Rebirth is just a standalone thing with everything in the box on day 1 and you play what you bought with no additional stuff. But with that said, I think SE would be silly not to release a light DLC pack.
What it could include... nothing on the scale of Intermission, but maybe... more Queen's Blood card packs to earn and more challenges added to the various Queen's Blood hubs, more items to earn at the Gold Saucer (maybe 4 star versions of the Summon materia that are stuck at 1 Star), a few new brutally hard side quests, some new boss battle challenges in VR, new crafting recipes for end-game items, and of course... new skins for the party, especially Barret (although from a more financial standpoint, obviously selling more Tifa bikinis is like printing money.)
I don't think it would need to be at the level of Intermission, just a little extra content to make the end-game last even longer and make some serious cash by giving us more skins. Oh and it'd be cool IMO if you could craft some bait to summon 4 new bosses in the 4 areas you find the pirate chests, or the world intel final notorious monster arenas (since I'm sick of everything being in VR.) Oh I'd also like a new Key Item, similar to Gold Saucer points, but a currency you get from completing mini-games outside the Gold Saucer. So you can build up a stock pile of coins from stuff like the Frog Game or Run Wild etc. and then buy alternate colour version of skins from that. If you could earn these tokens from re-challenging Queen's Blood NPCs you've already defeated too, that would be fantastic because after you're done with Queen's Blood, there's not really any reason to play more. Oh forgot to add... It'd be cool to get more Zack and Sephiroth stuff too.
Oh yeah, don't write "FFVII Rebirth got a big DLC" in your video title if it hasn't receieved one. If you're going to clickbait at least put a question mark, "FFVII to get big DLC?" is at least plausible deniability.
They should do a DLC that covers a mini story of Vincent, Cid, and Cait :)

Theres no way we sont get 1 or two dlcs of vincent and or cid. Cid and vincent were left out to leave something new for part 3 but thay doesnt mean we wont get one or both since it will be a one off where you wont really get to see how the party meshes together and will leave more to talk about. They could do one and leave the other too. People are worried about it slowing down part three but im all for mote ff7 in any form. Especially since id love more rebirth. Part 3 is where we finally get the real cloud. Not clouded eyes cloud.
fun fact: they changed the 1st 2 cait saiths throwaway prophecy lines. i think theres a good chance all 3 prophecies are true in the remake saga
They will focus on part 3 to release it by ff7 30 year anniversary. It's better even from a profit perspective, the marketing around a 30 year anniversary can be huge and impact sales more than a DLC + release after the 30 year anniv.
I really hope to see a DLC with Vincent and Cid as protagonist, maybe a story arc with Vincent as the main protagonist telling his relationship with Sephiroth and Lucrecia.

First of all I would like to see a Rebirth DLC but if that's gonna delay progress then Square-Enix better just forget about that and just keep working on part 3. Second about that ending, I think Aerith IS still alive in the other timeline where Zack is and she'll still wake up there and they'll finally be reunited soon enough. Anyway I just pray that since part 3 has already been in the works since 2022, development on part 3 will go more faster & smoothly this time and it gets released sooner like sometime next year or in 2026.

They actually secretly gave us an idea on what to expect the new characters to come..... the pirate shooting game in Costa Del Sol was an introduction to how we're going to have to use Vincent's gun during battle via consistently spamming a button to keep having bullets shoot out
We already got part of an introduction to Cids battle type because of the inclusion of the jump material which was something that was able to do because he's a Dragoon
So they really don't need to give us a DLC on it because they pretty much brought the introduction to those two battle forms into rebirth just people didn't notice

Would it be cool if they randomly put out some DLC? Sure I guess. However since there's already 100+ hours of content, I'd rather they just save anything for the final game. TBH I'm surprised anyone is asking for DLC considering the platinum is pretty rare and hard to get.
Alternative theory: Those scenes are missing from the end credits just in case they intended for you to be able to watch the credits before finishing the game (like some other games let you do) and didn't want stuff spoiled early.

1. It's really, REALLY sad to see these headline devs so tired out. Salaries in Japan are pitifully low - you have hundreds or thousands of mid-to-high-level mooks at Facebook, Salesforce and Microsoft doing useless "high-profile" jobs for $200,000-$500,000/yr, and I bet you Nomura, Uematsu, nor Nojima make anywhere NEAR that much, let alone all the rank-and-file devs who made ALL the assets, moves, landscapes, towns, audio, cinematics, or anything. This is a desperate situation that has to be remedied.
2. Why's Nomura tuckered out? I thought Nojima and the others were doing most of the work......
3. Intergrade was excellent (better than RM, imo), and I was HAPPY to pay full-price for it. I'd LOVE an off-atmosphere DLC dealing with the 'looser ends' -> Cait/Reeve, Vincent, Rufus/Glenn, Cid... even the Turks... etc. It could also serve as an opportunity to set up the final group of "new" remake plot threads that will finally tie together any lingering "multiverse" differences in Part 3, if they actually decided on doing such a thing.
No him picking her up and waking her up IS in the credits.

The last credit scene throws this theory out since it show Aerith watching the Tiny Bronco leave. I would accept that they wanted to emphasize Cloud’s mental decline if the Tiny Bronco scene fully omitted Aerith after the take off but it doesn’t, this theory is honestly just stretching for evidence that is circumstantial at best.

I personally didn't like the ending of rebirth at first but the more I thought about it the more I could accept it.
I do think it was a mistake to make it so ambiguous and confusing because that caused the event to lose much of the emotional punch that the orginal had.
It appears from my understanding that the event did actually play out the same as the original game, except this time we got clouds warped perception of it heavily spliced into the moment, including some moments ommited entirely.
For example some people are angry that the famous funeral scene didn't play out - however, think about it, the group wouldn't just leave her body there and we did get a shot of them mourning by the pool, so I assume it did happen, only the devs decided not to show us for some reason - so this will probably be seen in part 3 when clouds mind and memory straightens out.
This is not to say I'm satisfied with rebirths ending after giving it some thought, because I'm not, I do think the moment should have been clearer and hit harder, but I'm interested to see if they redeem the moment in the conclusion.
They could never deliver the same scene in the same way, because everyone knew what was coming, and it would never have the same emotional impact. So instead, they included the No Promises to Keep musical scene (which I admit got me teary eyed), and the final scene of the date where Aerith pushes cloud into the flowers while Sephiroth storms into the church which is her sacred sanctuary. Those IMO are the stand-ins for Aerith's death. Her final curtain and farewell (literally.) And they serve as this game's emotional climax for Aerith's demise.
The ending with the forgotten capital I think is entirely all about setting up for Part 3, and Cloud's rehabilitation from Sephiroth. Especially with the fact one of the most iconic scenes of lowering her into the water is totally absent for set-up purposes. It's not really about Aerith's death per se, especially as they gave her 2 other big farewell emotional scenes already. Personally I like this as they managed to give you the same emotions but with 2 totally different scenes which were all new and not present in the original, and made it work by leveraging your foreboding knowledge of what's to come, rather than try to shock you (which is impossible.)

well....when that 3rd one comes out....plz and i mean plz calm down with the mini games lol dont over do it like u did with rebirth square lol .....just felt like 80% was pure mini games just to get more stuff on wut goes on with the characters in the game.....but yet then again they probably might just go with the blades of glory with lots more mini games
