  • Happy New Year!!! Hope your year is going well so far! This was our first mudlark of 2023 and we were quite excited to be back out in the mud. We were rewarded very quickly with something we have always wanted to find complete! Come with us on this chilly windy foreshore as we get a little giddy back out mudlarking!
If you would like to watch us use some of the items we found in miniature crafting, pop over to our second channel `The Miniature World Of Kit + Caboodlers` -

I love when you both get so giddy! I truly can feel your excitement, and am so happy for you. Try using a 5 minute apoxie glue to add a stem to try and pull it out. It might hold long enough for it. I can't wait for your videos in 2023. They are always amazing. Great finds.

Perhaps you could use a small diamond drill bit on a jewellery drill like a Dremel to drill a small hole in the stopper top. It won’t remove the stopper but you might be able to smell the contents through the hole. Drill on a low speed if you decide to try, good luck x

Try using a small drill bit under water to drill a hole in it. And glue a screw in to help wiggle the stopper out. Small slow wiggles.

Maybe if you glue something to the top of the broken stopper you could pull it out? Something like a strip of fabric?

You have no need to apologize for your excitement, especially when you come across good items that are unexpected. Lots of lovely beads and a Charlotte with a head. Enjoy your finds. Thank you

To open your perfume bottle, take your clue from the stopper that you found! Get a marble and super glue it to the stopper let it set up and lightly twist. Hope it works!

A lot of people seem to swear by unsticking a stuck glass stopper by tapping the neck of the bottle with a wooden spoon. Don't know HOW that would work, but the good folk of my google search claim it does!

Drill thru the stopper with a drill bit for glass.

Good afternoon ladies, thank you for another lovely lark, may your good luck continue through the whole year! A suggestion for getting the broken stopper out of the perfume bottle... first, protect the rim with some wax, then apply a blob of a thick adhesive (here in Canada, we can get a product called "Shoe goo ll " , it's very thick and " blobby" , anything like that should work). Apply the blob of adhesive to the top of the broken stopper and set something like a nail or screw into the the blob of adhesive. Let it dry and set for 24 hours. Then using the nail, gently twist and lift as you're twisting and hopefully you can worry the stopper out. Then all you need to do is carefully clean the protective wax off the rim. I have been successful using this method. Good luck! Pamela 🌷

You could get a small carbide drill bit for say a Dremel and use water to drill a hole in the glass top, to get at the contents.

I would think drilling it out would be the best. Spear point bit, build a damn around the stopper with putty and use a lubricant. The suggestions are paraffin oil or water. Water so it doesn't contaminate the perfume. Thank you for the entertaining mudlark! So much fun as always!
