I’m doing this type of program but I hold a BS and an MS in psychology and have all of the pre reqs plus all the pre reqs for medical school through org chem and biochem. For me, it made more sense than to go backwards and do an ABSN. My program requires applicants to have a legitimate bachelors and all of the same pre reqs for any BSN program are required to get in, plus a higher 3.2 GPA and additional requirements. Upon completion, I’ll work as an RN like anyone else for at least 2 or more years before I can advance to the next goal for acute care NP. So I think it depends on the program and the persons objectives. Mine is to serve honorably like any other RN and gain meaningful clinical and hands on experience as I advance in my career.
