My company got a charge for invalid paperwork from an orthopedist. I work at an ABA therapy center lmao.
You might want to redo that video. It comes across as a psycho rant without explaining why its such a bad idea.(layman perspective)
Your "layman's" perspective on this video is totally understandable. I think if you were an insider, you may have a different interpretation. As an insider, I hear passion. It's too involved to lay out in a short RUclips video, or in these comments, but Erica does address some of the issues to support her position. I'd say for the most part, health workers want people to be as comfortable as possible. Why not? At the very, least wouldn't that be easier than all the backlash? Often their hands are tied because of budgetary and technology reasons. Still, unrealistic expectations are often shaped by the media and hospital PR departments. Remember, those institutions have their own agenda. The truth is, the purpose of the hospitality business and the ultimate goals of a hospital, are in fact, not the same.
Ohhh seems like your info is a bit clouded then
Here’s a thought - be clear, not cryptic.
Erica, What are your thoughts on the recent UnitedHealth CEO “event”?
When I got my license over 16 years ago my grandpa told me to never put that I was an organ donor on there. I was confused until he explained that when you are an organ donor they will start taking your organs the second they are able to declare you dead. Although I have never put I was an organ donor on my license because of this, I never truly believed him, until the past few years. The stories coming out are horrific.
Within months of working as an RN, I knew that there was no shortage. Just a shortage of nurses who are willing to be abused.
Do you know NC Nurse Practitioner can’t even apply for an NP license without a collaborating physician on their application? And one that’s checked off by the medical board? Insane
I personally know a dentist who allegedly (via several of his past employees) regularly re-used non-sterile (that should definitely (!) have been sterile) tools. I thought it was a one off situation. Guess not.😳
Did the employees ever report it?
HOW would we know?
I haven't worked as a nurse at the bedside for over a years, because I was having panic attacks driving to work abd trouble sleeping. It was effecting my mental and physical health.
Nurses are afraid to speak up becauses nurses don't matter to hospitals.
Sounds like this crazy doctor would fit in well at Cleveland Clinic.
She led him on
did she tho
The sad thing is that the situation wouldn't be considered a big deal if the genders were reversed
Gen Z nurses are going to buckle under the pressure.
THANK YOU!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAY ALLLLL THE TIME!!!! Even when patients make comments about us being short-staffed, but then make comments about not enough nurses (available) or who "want" to work, show up for work, blah blah blah....I let them know that there are plenty who will work, especially if paid and treated well for all we do, but instead schedule the least possible staff they can get away with, provide the least amount and cheapest supplies they can - all just to spend less and put more in their pockets. In the meantime, the nurses are running around like chickens without heads trying to keep our heads above water and please patients, their families, our bosses, the doctors and help our co-workers whenever possible, all while knowing our licenses are on the line every minute of every day with every move we make - or don't make - and how quickly we act, did we take the appropriate steps in situations we encountered through the day?, ensuring to follow policies and protocols of our workplace and the laws within healthcare, as we get no help as administration and physicians know we are being called vile names, being spat on, kicked, pushed, yelled at, getting "in trouble" because our patients are non-compliant and/or had yet another fall - AND while all this is happening, there is someone somewhere, criticizing us while adding more to our overflowing plate of responsibilities!! I do let them know what's really going on, but maybe I don't go THAT far into detail... it just frustrates me to no end how much we do, how much responsibilities and tasks are on us to do in a time frame that DOES NOT ALLOW FOR IT, let alone any little thing that comes up - like answering call bells, taking someone to the bathroom, getting someone prn meds. Obviously there are times that we can do this but there are times when everything is happening at once and NO ONE is there to help. I've tried and everyone is busy with their own stuff. OMG and the documentation!!!! Geez I could seriously go on and on. I feel like it is impossible to be the nurse I desperately want to and wish to be because of all this. I've been a nurse for 16 years and it's been this way at various jobs but mostly the hospital and long-term and short-term care/rehab. I have already been looking to get out of this career because I can't stand everything you mentioned. I wanted to help people and I hate seeing the healthcare industry making billions upon billions of dollars in profit while robbing good, quality care to patients. Every facility talks about patient care as if they care. It is the very LAST thing they care about - unless it's something that the state could ding them on and therefore affect them getting paid! Rant over!
Imagine trying to steal the inheritance of children and grandchildren of this man who probably has a degenerative brain disorder. And then posting online.
Was there a civil suit? Criminal cases aren't going to be stealing any inheritance
This women is a absolute disgrace
She literally said in the video that the man wasn't under the influence or needed psychiatric help
You would not believe what goes on in senior housing facilities. Sexual assaults are not uncommon.
Thanks
Nursing isn’t toxic , NURSES ARE. You will never fix the toxic nursing issue
Maybe not in hospitals but in nursing homes there is I know by first hand
You clearly didn’t pay attention to the video
They just had a hearing in Kentucky with three donor surgeons, and they all said that this happens more often than we realize
Do you have any thoughts on how union busting is going to potentially be protected in the next administration?
I’m a retired psych nurse and there is nothing as scary as being attacked. I want to know what was the person at the top left of the screen doing!!! I saw her disappear. 😮. Nobody should be with a psyche patient without strong help. Security, especially in emergency rooms is NOT optional it is NECESSARY….
I’m a psych nurse and I’m sad to report that I am not even surprised by this. It happens too frequently it’s sickening
That’s why we are leaving healthcare.
But women are EQUAL to men as the Democrats teach us…
Say it ain't so, Erica! These corporations don't care about staff or patients. Are you starting to catch on people. The ads that say they care are pure BS. They want your money. Period.
So don't get into that field.
Nurses and healthcare workers in ANY field deserve to be at work without the fear of being attacked by anyone. They did not sign up for that when going to school or accepting their job position.
@@Madelyn.Sophie Democrats teach us that women are EQUAL to men, LGBTQ+ acceptance and DEI are all people need to think about. Where are the feminists to address this??
That is a rather blase answer. How about make all fiels safer to work in.
The ignorance is overflowing
My friend got her back broken by a patient 20 years ago. I e been a nurse for 30 years. I had black eyes at my first job. How is this new?
No one said it was new. The lack of response/ prevention has been cut back progressively. It is not new. Cutting way back on staffing every single day and no one speaking up is old. Now, nurses are finally unionizing and standing up for themselves. That took forever!
Happened to me. Ill never work in that field again. EVER!
Woo Hoo. Awesome job!! Congrats. Thanks for sharing 😊

Wow! My ex wife mom was a delivery nurse. Now retired. I am sure she would have many stories about overwork jobs and incidents.
Erica, How do you feel about President elect Trump’s fresh influence on the medical industrial complex since the last 4 years have been polluted by drug shortages, hospital fraud, doctors mental health crises, nursing strikes, etc.
all these were true well before DJT and will most likely will continue at an even worse rate. If he ignored healthcare as a whole we might have positive outcomes, but the man tends to either hamstring our outright gut every regulatory system he can. so we will see worse quality outcomes at higher costs all while insurance rates keep climbing. its not like the incoming administration has said anything other than letting unqualified politicians hold leadership positions that should be held by medical experts to "go wild on healthcare."
@@Cardboardbocs This is why patients don’t trust doctors and nurses anymore. As usual you people ruminate over President Trump and can’t name anything the Biden-Harris administration ACCOMPLISHED. All the strikes and doctors crying out for mental health help was during a democrat cycle.
@@user-zq4fv8sj6v Trump did nothing good for America and will continue to do nothing for any of us who make less than 4 million a year. In 2024 Biden has accompisjhed the following: * * Three strongest years of job growth in history * Nearly 15 million jobs created since 2021 * 3.5% unemployment rate - the lowest in 50 years * Millions of Americans are saving $800 per year on health insurance coverage. * More than 40 million borrowers stand to benefit from student debt relief. * Infrastructure investments in all 50 states, D.C., territories, and throughout Tribal nations *CHIPS bill. Major project to improve American electronic chip manufacturing. * Inflation reduction Act -lowered drug prices, clean energy investments, reduces deficit by $300 billions, minimum tax for corporations * Steady reduction of trump era deficits projected to drop by more than $1.8 trillion * Fully vaccinated 79% of American adults against COVID-19 * Produced record amount of oil in 2023. * Increased the maximum value of Pell Grants by $900 * Pardoned and released from jail those convicted of minor marijuana use *Took marijuana off Federal Schedule 1 status. * Near a record low unemployment rate for African Americans * Near a record low unemployment rate for Hispanics * Brought gas prices down more than $1.60 from there summer 2023 peak * Lowest inflation rate among all G7 countries. Down to 2.3% and still declining. * Signed a gun safety bill *Ended war in Afghanistan. *Re-joining climate and nuke treaties. * Crime and homicides are down from trump levels * Rallied NATO to support Ukraine against Russian aggression. Helped Sweden and Finland join NATO. * Under Biden's first 3 years, net farm income has increased to $165 billion compared to trump *$35 dollar cap on insulin. *Veteran health "burn pit" legislation the GOP didn't want. *Major rural broadband expansion. *New rules for airlines prohibiting surprise fees and requiring automatic cash refunds. *Saved Union and non-union pensions. Over 31 million beneficiaries of the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corp. were in danger of losing their benefits, or having the cut. Both union and non-union. *Stopped bank nuisance fees. *Biden's economy extents Social Security and Medicare solvency by years. GOP wants to cut it. *Biden's FCC to stop Cable TV junk fees. *Build a bigger and more modern electric grid as part of a larger effort to reduce power outages and increase electrical transmission capacity - *Biden signed executive order to restrict illegal migration asylum seekers.
@@bjornstahle4652 That was quite a long fantasy list you stitched together that would have carried Biden through to a second term were he not mentally ill by both clinical and clearly societal standards. To think that Kamala, an Asian Indian woman was there during everything you attempted to assert and she still LOST BIGLY including BOTH the House and Senate. Where precisely does that put you intellectually in the face of HARD FACTS?!?!?! Are you returning your ‘stolen land’ back to Native American Indians, renouncing your citizenship and ‘migrating’ to a better country pray tell?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
they won't be paying for a full staff ok
the cheaper nursing homes and such yell nursing shortage and short staff sometime to real danger. there is a difference between understaffed and understaffING !!! I see it too hon. $$$$$$
Amen! I can’t find a decent job and I’ve been a nurse for 25+ yrs!!
I agree that hospitals need to give shorter hours and better working conditions but I disagree with why we have a “nurse shortage “. There is a social media crisis. Social media has made everyone a victim. Where people believe they deserve something more. It’s made them believe they should get paid more and not do their jobs or be late all the time or not show up and not call. Entitled! Just like the woman in this video. Entitled! Because I didn’t hear her say anything about the side of it where people aren’t doing their jobs. To get more money and better working conditions and a better schedule you have to pay your dues and add value. You don’t just get it because you were to school and got the degree or certificate. Real experience takes time. Real value for a company takes time. You need to prove your worth and you won’t do that by looking at your cell phones in the corner somewhere or disappearing in the middle of your shift. That’s if you even show up. Come on! You need to come to reality!
This is the most absurd take I’ve ever heard 😂
It’s not entitlement… it takes a lot of time and money to become a nurse, those people are not being entitled.
@@TiaJenkins-t3k it’s the managers it’s the supervisors it’s the CEO in their phones getting catered lunches for meetings instead of making rounds checking on patient care making rounds with doctors doing their jobs
Their is a staffing shortage an to many imported nurses cheap laborers and anti union anti overtime part time employees must work over 49 hours to get OTto avoid paying for holidays vacations
They pulled the same thing in IT years ago to water down the labor pool and start strangling wages. H1B Visas need to go away, it's nonsense like that which drives the administrative bloat you see in damn near every industry now. Everybody wants to be a manager/administrator because that's where you can make actual money.
So true
The nursing shortage is a Hospital made problem. I totally agree.
