Loved this video!! Can you give more examples on types of specialty clinics FNPs can work in? For example, I was interested in maybe doing something within the pediatric respiratory realm in an outpatient clinic. I don’t really have an interest in working in urgent care clinics, will I have a hard time getting a job if I go the FNP route?
could you make a video explaining how to find preceptors while in NP school? since most schools don't provide this service; and how your experience was finding preceptors. thanks!
I am about to finish my NP school some school will provide you options and offers that you can either accept or decline. Also you can personally call clinics, urgent cares, family practice offices (speak with manager) ask peers if they know someone like an NP or a MD, is not as hard as you think it is. It can be very stressful but 100% of the student are able to find a preceptors. I currently attend to GCU.
I don’t know if NP is Worth spending all my life time for because i have tried youtube l associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore don’t even have time for my own kids any more 💔💔💔😔😔.
The truth is most RPN, RN's and NP's you see today passed with cynthia help, my sister passed thanks Cynthia and I'll be sitting for my exam in two weeks, I'm studying what Amelia provided already i trust her and i know with her I'll pass
FNP. It’ll certify you for all ages and then you’ll have to get a job in derm, plastic surgery, or a wellness spa. There is Botox certification you can get as well to help you get a job
Hi, I'm a new student. I've just joined prerequisite program for NP school. Quick question. I loved the medical field but I married with kids. I can't afford not to make enough money so which of all of these would give me the most opportunity to go into something like a specialty to be able to make nice money? thanks in advance.
Adult and Geriatric Practitioner? or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner? For either: The answer is: "Yes!" But this would involve intensive training in principles of psychiatry and psych meds-to be within the one's "scope of practice"-and usually within the [direct review and discussion of a psychiatrist-and within the frequent discussion of the current treatment plans-with a psychiatrist.
Yes; in many countries other than the U.S.A.- a "Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)"- or even an "advance practice nurses"-are not qualified or trained to do such work. The advantages of an "NP"-and/or: " PA"-in the U.S.A.-include: ability to schedule patient appointment slots at a clinic when doctors have busy schedules.
It improves the doctor's work by making him focus on complex cases and completes the medical role. Therefore, NPs are very important for the health of patients and complete the role that the doctor or registered nurse did not achieve.
I honestly didn't consider it before starting nursing school, and NP was always my end goal. If I wasn't already a nurse and then wanted to become an APP, I would definitely consider PA!
Nurses have higher training than PA. To become a nurse practitioner, you must complete your bachelor’s degree, obtain your license, and work for two years. After that, you can enter the program, which depends on the specialty. Becoming a nurse practitioner takes from 8 to 11 years, while becoming a physician assistant does not exceed 5 years. Therefore, I chose my dream and the best.

Seriously just wanted to say thank you for this video! I’ve watched so many and this is by far the best!

Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success
I once told myself I’m not going to continue knocking that old door that doesn’t open for me. I’m going to create my own door and walk through that.
I heard some registered nurse talk about her, I did not understand what they were saying, I hope she replies my text on WhatsApp

How does this work please?
How about dermatology and aesthetic nurse practitioner?
I’m interested in this too but I believe FNP can do this you just have to gain some experience in dermatology or plastic surgery as an NP
@@nicolaypastorecurrently working in dermatology and aesthetics so I would want to further more my expertise and learn more..
Thanks Will. Your presentation is super easy to understand.
what do you think would be the best speciality for an NP that wants to work in plastic surgery or dermatology?🙏🏼

@@ticks4ticks4 this not true NPs has a special procedure and is not like a doctor. If he/she was like a doctor, he would not have been relied upon.
