How I Made 100K my first year Towing!!!

- I know I left out a few things, but when considering starting a Towing company the most important purchase is purchasing the right truck or a truck that will be a work horse and that will not be breaking down on you every week because tow truck repairs are very costly and they will put you out of business fast if you don’t have the money to weather them unexpected cost when they hit. So do not spare no expense when buying a truck especially if you can afford it, I was lucky to find a older use truck that was reliable when I first purchased my first truck. So keep that in mind. Another thing I didn’t touch on that I should of is getting commercial tow truck insurance. That’s another major cost to factor in when starting up a towing company. Commercial tow truck insurance can range from $1000 a month to well over $3000 so please be prepared and don’t be shocked when your agent get to talking ridiculous numbers. But overall I wouldn’t change being in this industry for nothing, I love it!!!! It change my life and put me in a position to really help my family and the people around me. So my advice would be go for it!!!!
Too bad you are so far, I would love to have you at the high school where I volunteer as a mentor. You could be a great motivator for my students who are not inclined or financially can’t go to college. You are proof that properly handling your money and making a plan can lead to success in life, all you need is the motivation and great work ethics. Be safe and May God always bring you home safe back to yours.
Awwwww appreciate maybe one day we can make that happen
@@1ebenreedhi what truck would u recommend ford 350 or ram 3500?
@@Flokiboys I was a vehicle repairman in the Army for 23 years and my experience tells me to go with the F-350 or F-450. The reason is that the F-Series have better suspensions than the Dodge counterparts plus the stock F-350 can pull 13,800Lbs vs 7,800 for the stock Ram 3500.
@@azarellediaz4892 thank you! Do they make dully for gas? Or does it have to be diesel only to do this
@@Flokiboys the Ram starts with a gas HEMI engine but it also comes with a weaker transmission and a lower towing capacity. For business, long distance driving or for towing a diesel engine coupled to the corresponding transmission will always be your best option. Diesel engines are built for tough work and you don’t have spark plugs, plug wires or a distributor to break down on you any time. If you want a good gas powered dually with a gas engine, good suspension and manual transmission you would have to go back 20 or more years to find one. But it may not meet the current requirements to be licensed as a Towing Service vehicle in most jurisdictions in the USA 🇺🇸 or Europe.
Just found your channel! I too was "let go" recently after the company I worked at for 26 years was bought out. Im taking some time off to decompress and figure out what Im gonna do next. It might not be driving a tow truck but watching your vids is inspiring!
Thanks bro!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯
Don’t want to drive a tow truck all day but the info and motivation is useful, thanks bro.
@1ebenreed like to interview you for podcast but don't see social or contact mine is Kc
No one cares if you don’t want to drive a tow truck.
Go fly a sign because that’s all you’re good for
" don't cut corners" perfect advice
You got fired and chased your dreams. Inspirational. Stay consistent. Good for you mate. Respect from the UK 🇬🇧
Respect from Maryland, also!
He didn't say he was fired. He said he was let go, which after 8 years, likely means he was laid off (in the U.S.).
I been towing for 13 years. I drive medium duty flatbed up in Detroit. Being a employee for a company I make around 80k a year. Love wat I do. It's great money. Look forward to the bad ass repo videos. Stay safe brother
Hey I’m interested in towing do your company train if someone have a dot and a chauffeur license already I’m in Detroit as well .
@@shaelyncalhoun9592 yes we do. Elite road service and recovery look is up
How long did it take you to start make good money
First 5 years
What job do you do that makes $80k a year?
Keep up the with the videos! The algorithm is working in your favor! The shorts are sweet but a ‘day in your life’, repos(not only the recovery but the process) type of videos will have your channel grow like crazy! Consistency is everything💗 Wishing you the absolute best!
Thanks appreciate it!!!!!
@@1ebenreed You’re welcome🙌🏾

First video I watched this morning and it made me happy. Glad you're prospering brother. Subscribed
Eb. You are an inspiration sir.
So humble. Great advice and your setup is awesome. 😊👍🏼
Bro this advice is the best. I was let go from two jobs last year so I decided to start my own businesses and am happier than ever. Great advice on staying consistent.
What business are you doing.
Great lesson! Thank you for expressing how important it is to operate your company legitimately. Do it by the books because there is protection in the books and more opportunities to assess more money when you operate the right way.
Couldn't be further from the truth, my 1st year running my business was long hours, less personal life, hiring, firing, and training my team. Wanted to give up so many times but i already invested so much into it. Now i am starting to see and feel the benefits. Just gotta keep pushing. Dope content bro!
you realize that the statement "couldnt be further from the truth" means that its not true... right?
@@89Johneboy yeah, I just realized lol. I meant nothing but praise tho.
It makes sense to me. He struggled his first year and tow truck guy didn’t. The tow truck driver had success his first year
Really good advice. Alot not just tow related but good life advice too. Grats on your success, and I love your videos.
You're a very smart man, keep up the good work, stay safe and all the best to you and your family.
Really inspired to hear your story. Please do consider visiting a school or groups of young people who really need to hear your story. You could make such an impact to so many. You are motivated & driven to succeed and proof hard work does pay dividends. You're definitely a GOAT!
A great example with fans that only want one thing for you...to be safe... you have our prayers, always.
Hard work and kicking ass with those sweet tow skills. Killing it!
We love watching you operate. Definitely a pro!

I love towing
100k is $270/day

You speaking facts. My step dad has owned his wrecker service for about 50 years. I started helping him 3 years. We're on the sheriff, hp, and police rotation. It is a dangerous job. People don't like slowing down and moving over.
Hard work and perseverance!! Good for you 😊

it’s almost like you could be Bernices cousin or brother from South Beach Tow. Y’all are the greatest to ever do it! I’ll forever support, this my type of content !
Appreciate you!
S/o from France bro! Congratulations ❤️
I am ready to check on the venture of owning a tow truck business. Your video has been very helpful, especially in the mental side of it. It almost makes you wonder if you fear failure or success
My brother had a Tow business. But his was big time. Big trucks, rollback and others. His insurance was almost $50k a year. And he had 2 salvage yards. But he was on rotation. Which meant anytime their was a car accident or big truck wreck and another person in the tow business, they cops had to rotate who gets the call. But the last few years he was the only one around. And he loved the big truck calls because they paid very well and he just enjoyed them. His wrecker business was a Million dollar a year business by itself. And he would even buy big truck's to turn them into wreckers and he had brand new roll backs. But if you can handle the tows, get on rotation with the cops. And yes he's right, word of mouth is great. And he worked 7 days a week whether he got out in the middle of the night to do the call or just dispatched his worker's who were on call.
Sadly he passed 8 months ago on December 28 last year a week after having his large intestines removed because of colon cancer at 59. And here's the kicker, he left everything to his ex-wife. Except a wrecker he left to his son and 2 pickups to his daughter. He would have left it to them but they didn't want to work and help him. They would steal from him. Steal his own stuff and sell it back to him. They are meth heads sadly. And his son already sold the wrecker to stay out of jail because his mom reported him for stealing right after he died. And his daughter already sold one truck to my son and called for him to buy the other. He has a dealer business. He worked hard all of his life even in school. He went to school but didnt go to class. He worked in the Garage on buses and janitor after. And couldn't read. But he still managed to have 3 million dollar businesses. You have to work hard.
Wow

bro i can’t wait to hear more from you!
Good on you imvesting in yourself man.
You have the right mindset, and as you say, yes, word of mouth, it is the cheapest form of advertising by far. Good luck to you.
There’s a massive high demand for this job
Just call your local shops and ask how the list is. They are you so heavy on the list they will immediately ask you if you have a truck and want to help
Young people watching this... get a notebook and write down everything this guy says.

I don't mean this in an offensive way.

Thanks for the advice I'm actually on operator but I was going to start a towing company first and I think I'm about to switch over because the overhead is just too much on this side... I've been on RUclips hearing a lot of good things and money that been made and towing

Great advice you are an inspiration!
Can’t wait to see more videos. You look like Avon Barksdale
KNOWLEDGE IS WEALTH. PEACE STAY BLESSED AND SAFE KING.
I found you by accident and I dig your tow truck I've never seen one that you just pull up and hook up without getting out the truck. That's so. Cool you still need a Chevy though
😂😂😂😂😂 not a Chevy lol
I love your lane lol I love your truck set up and I like how slick you do your repo. Do you buy the truck like that or is it a conversion? If so where can you purchase one and how much do they run? Your videos are very entertaining! All the information you give out is greatly appreciated!!💪🤙
Nice work there repo videos are great too.
Creo que es también el momento adecuado por la depresión qué hay en estados unidos este tipo de negocios esta al 100 me alegro que te vaya bien lo haces muy profecional
Aye brother appreciate you taking the time to make this video and great content to I had 2 questions 1st is how do get a spotter what kind of relationship do you all have with pay and working hours like how does it start, basically from start to finish process
2nd this might be lil personal but if you would be open enough to explain the money aspect of it like you said it took 18k to start but what does that break down into truck, pully, the tow… how much the upgrade was compared to the one how much for the new truck and system and equipment, how much the deals or payments are with companies like insurances or dealers, daily take home… shit like that for when you get time to make your next video… would appreciate a step by step break down of the financials and stuff… but till then you have a good one brother be Safe keep doing what you doin. ✌🏾
I got you for sure
I'm engineer, oil industry.
Live in Europe, but my entire family are North Americans, made plans moving abroad and go into towing cars, not as engineer.
This is what I want to do, no doubt, NJ-NYC.
Congrats
Gd channel gd info continued success my BRUTHA!!!! New sub!!!
Great advice thank you for the video
Man! Keep it up, you'll be collabin' with Tank😅
The way you navigate tight corners and guage how to pick up just right reminds me of fork lift operation. Your nine year job was it as a fork operator? That would explain how you got good at guaging and locking in on just the right pickup point.
Yeah I use to always have to use a forklift through my nine years of being a mold setter and process tech a my previous job
Proud to support this hard-working RUclipsr on his way up! He is a different ethnicity than me, and that does not fking matter. Real recognize real, and I can't wait to see this channel blow up!
Thanks bro!!!!! Most definitely appreciate you
So why bring up ethnicity then if it doesn’t matter?
Confusing.
Why are you even mentioning ethnicity then?
Fool
@@carltonthepugFor real bro, why the ethnicity thing?
Now you bout to make this RUclips money on top of that
