They could’ve made this fight a challenge if they wanted to. Doopliss could’ve used his turns switching out the partners and the partners could’ve used more than their basic attack. Goombellas multibonk could’ve been a threat if you don’t block enough. Imagine beating koops requirement cause he won’t stop using shell shield. Then you have flurrie who would be difficult to defeat because of lip lock. And now the worst nightmare that could’ve been. Yoshi between his ability to deal damage to Mario and Vivian with gulp which defense pierces Or yoshis ability to reduce your attack with mini egg.
The stage hazards are effected by your performance. If you do good they'll target your enemies more. And if you're bad like missing action commands or getting hurt for huge amounts of damage often you'll get targeted.
@@AdaTheWatcher As someone that's a veteran to the game I don't like that. Knowing all the action commands already made me better at the game so I don't like changes that make it easier. If anything, I think it should've been the other way around..
Well I suppose doopliss kind of only took mario's life. But he just is bad at the action cammand and knows jack about badges. He also has even less idea about specials. he plays the game like a person who never touched the game would play it at this point if they were given the controller probably I'm very sure they could have given him a badge assortment, given him a superguard probabillity and made him hit action commands more precisely
With that said, it’s actually harder if you get the other partners out, best to keep Dooplis stuck with Goombella cause she does the least damage and she’s easy to block, you just have to know the block timing of a normal goomba
We finally learned the answer to, are you the strongest because your mario? Or being the strongest because your mario?
Truly the philosophical question of our time
"Nah, I'd win."- Mario

My theory is that he's so terrible at this because he has 0 experience with doing anything as mario.
Mario meanwhile also experienced paper Mario 64.
The stage hazards felt rigged in this game compared to the original...
They feel more common! I'd love for someone to do a deep dive into the code to see what the odds are
@@Hilijix it seems like they affected the enemy way more than the player in my playthrough...

At least he carries a Life Shrooms sometimes
@@Hilijix tbh that lifeshroom is a plothole of sorts it somehow vanishes in turn 2
why are we attacking the partners anyway?......doopliss is like super easy...I usually don't fight them because they are my partners after all

I just wanted a challenge
I just beat them up because it should be obvious Doopliss isn't mario.
But somehow they're still confused.
