I was looking for a clear definition of ROLLERS vs Jump up vs a few other thingz...and you appear to be the humble legitimate Answer! I was told as a child I had 99.9% percent perfect pitch, O.G Jazz Bo's would call it Big Ears... in other words I can tune a guitar blind with my voice, matching to a digital tuner! But unfortunately I Don't have music theory sight reading or instrument skills.
But I definitely have the deep inner skills to become a truly great DJ, Vibes within the crowd, inner rythm clock honed over 30 minute drum so live bands...natural tune harmonics and deep lyro- graphic memory! [ I can recall almost any song I have ever heard...)

It depends what kinda of mix your going for as if it’s heavy rollers then you want to set the scene for a heavy rollers mix with something like - kings of the rollers - somebody else however it’s more relaxed rollers and not so heavy on the bass lines you could chose something like - lord of the null ( Benny l & shimon Remix)

So how do you mix up and down keys cuz obviously not every song is the same key
The way I mix up and down in key is by clicking key on serato/rekordbox it will then order them ascending or descending in key.

You cheat and hit the button that matches key with every track you insert into the deck. You can even match track pitch too so its easy... unlike me on 1210s who has to choose tracks carefully and adapt to changes in vocal as well as beats. Electronic DJing is basiclly editing. Get that thought in the back of your head and mixxing is easy. Hell you dont even need to try and beat match and most softwear self auto DJ for you lol.

@@buds4427well i was generalising as whole, not necessarily about you in person.. Anyone who uses 1210s has to beat match. Im just saying EJs dont, its pretty much automated. I have 1210s but also CDJs that i dont bother with, i feel Controllers and CDJs just do the work for me, and as far as im concerned im not DJing. But on the 1210s its constant interaction, im hardly standing around waitin or bored. But CDJs are very boring, just as i find an automatic car boring to drive.
@@mandyjones8443 are you hooking your cdjs up to software as I can safely say your very wrong as you do have to beat match by ear... unless you just hit sync? In that case I have no sympathy for you when you say it’s boring as you make it boring for yourself. Try and stay away from those fields and you’ll have more fun with it!
