Anything...anything at all from John Farnham...live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. But this here? This is one of the greatest duets you will ever hear.
Absolutely .... ALWAYS live No editing, no special effects... nothing. These Guys don't need them cos they've both got raw talent, in its purest form, to spare... And don't forget the guitarist, Diesel who is a musician in his own right
The guitarist is Diesel (Mark Lizotte). Jimmy and Diesel are married to sisters. John Farnham can sing literally anything. Check him out, performing his cover of the Beatles song 'Help' live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Put simply, the best live vocal ever performed.
Jimmy & John are both incredibly powerful singers, very few duets with either of them in it allows them to really belt it out. Jimmy did a duet with Tina Turner (Simply the Best) and John did one with Anthony Warlow (famous Opera & Musical Theater singer) and the only two that come to mind where they were able to stand toe-to-toe with Jimmy or John. The guitarist was Johnny Diesel (Mark Denis) who has both a solo career and was the lead singer for Johnny Diesel & The Injectors. Jimmy started with Cold Chisel back in the early 70's and John started as a teen pop idol in the late 60's.
This John Farmhan guy!! You ain't seen nothing yet. His most famous song is You're the Voice. Watch any live version but the one with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra rocks. Lots of love also for his re-arrangement of the Beatles classic HELP and also his rockin cover of ACDC's It's a Long Way to the Top He's been at the top of Australian Charts since the 60's. With hits in every single decade since then. He is an Aussie Icon, loved by Millions. ❤❤❤❤
Welcome to the world of John Farnham a master class every time he sings react to anything live always live he is simply the best. Our Australian treasure ❤❤❤
John Farnham does a fantastic cover of Led Zeppelin's " Black Dog" ! Apparently, John and the band were doing a sound check, but Wow, it's amazing! It's available in audio only
His name is Farnham pronounced Farnum. This is a Sam and Dave cover. The guitar 🎸 player is Johnny Diesel, he is Jimmy Barnes brother inlaw. Diesel is a legend too. John is Australian music 🎶 🎵 royalty like Jimmy. All of Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel and John Farnham reactions must be live as their performances are a show in themselves. ❤❤❤❤
John can sing anything. He has had a hit in most decades since the 60’s. anything from his concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra would be suggested. He is even better live. He has a lovely relationship with his band and the audience. We love him here in Australia.
John Farnham (pronounced Farn-m) is an Aussie legend, as is Barnsey. John can sing anything and there are so many fabulous vids that you could watch that will blow that hat right off your head. You could start with his Black Dog cover, which is what he apparently used to warm us with before a concert. There's also Help, with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, a gorgeous duet with Olivia Newton-John called Please Don't Ask Me and also Gethsemane, from Jesus Christ Superstar. These will give you a pretty good look at our John, who is simply called The Voice in Australia. He's now 74 years old.
It was very unfortunate that Cold Chisel did not break through here in the US. I would have loved to hear their music in the time it was made and not years later on the internet.
I have a friend who played on Beale Street in Memphis TN for 20 years. He also recorded at Muscle Shoals and played at the Porretta Soul Festival in Italy. He does a great job with this song and anything else he sings. Check him out his name is James Govan
Their energy comes through far better in LIVE concerts. Check out the two of them singing this song LIVE at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. John Farnham is a vocal gymnastic extraordinary and incomparable talent.
John and Jimmy are amazing together. What a duet. You’re right about Jimmys voice. It seems to have gotten a lot richer as he’s got older. John Farnham is an absolute legend an Aussie icon. He can sing any any genre. You need to check out Help with the MSO (Melbourne symphony orchestra), phenomenal. If you like something a little more upbeat, he also does a great version of Long Way to the top, same concert. Glad you’re discovering some of our incredible Aussie talent.😊
This and anything from John or jimmy is so much better live, especially John with his versatile voice with seemingly endless range, he can sing anything, any genre.
PLEASE only do reactions to LIVE performances from John Farnham (Independent artist known as "The Voice" bc he can sing any note, any genre vocally perfect LIVE) & Jimmy Barnes also from Cold Chisel. Both have 50 plus yr careers
John Farnham is Australian Royalty!! Everyone here adores him. You need to watch his version of Help the Bettles classic live with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. You will be blown away I promise you!!!!
You need to do Whispering Jack by John Farnham and the song is called help by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Daniel understand what type of voice he's got cause I'm telling you it's a beauty
I told you these two guys are our Aussie legends. John Farnham began his musical career at age 17. He was voted King of Pop a couple of times. In 1986 he got his big break with the song, You're the Voice. Please react to it live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Also, John's cover of The Beatles, Help, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. John can sing any genre of music. Not only is he a talented singer but a beautiful humble man too
John Farnham was also a member of another band; I believe you've reacted to once or twice before. Here's another live performance, if interested. "Little River Band - We Two LIVE American Television" --This song by the Littler River Band was released on their album called "The Net." This album was the bands seventh studio album and was released in 1983. The band is Australian and is known for its beautiful harmonies. Jimmy Barnes is a Scottish-born Australian rock singer. I'm not too familiar with a lot of his work, but I did listen to some of his music from his solo career. I believe he was in a band called "Cold Chisel". Lovely reaction, Biz. I would say both of these artists would be a part of the (PDC) 😏
Jimmy's journey basically mirrored the AC/DC timeline from late 70's to now whether with band 'Cold Chisel' (legends) or solo he is unmatched in my opinion - Early days with Cold chisel - try 'Bow River' or cover of 'Wild Thing' (wild) or cover of 'Change is gonna come' - all live but older versions really anything from Cold Chisel is awesome - Solo - try 'I'd Die to be with you tonight', 'Working Class man',
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Love your reaction my friend If you like vocals ❗️ Really like to see your reaction to "ST-Paul and the Broken Bones " live studio version of 🎵Grass is Greener 🎵 You're gonna love this one, too Keep the good work, Biz ✌️ 👏 👍🏻
Every one has said and I will say it as well. If you are going to react, John, please do a live performance, preferably the Melbourne symphony concert.
Live is better!!🎶 Watch John Farnham live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra!! "Help" & "Your The Voice" are two great ones from that concert & his cover of ACDC's "Its A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock & Roll" is amazing also from this concert🎶🎵
No! That would be John Farnham featuring Jimmy Barnes. Don’t you ever put him before John again. There is world class and then there isn’t but I do like to see others try to out power John and fail. John is best live only. John was still singing with that same voice at 70. He is called the Voice and named as the best living voice alive anywhere today.
As an Australian I feel the need to apologise for Karen’s bossy, rude and incorrect comment. Sorry 😢 I guess she proves that Karens are a global phenomenon and not just the domain of any single country🤷♀️
Anything...anything at all from John Farnham...live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. But this here? This is one of the greatest duets you will ever hear.
trio imo diesel does enough and if you saw this live he matches there voices
And so much better live.
Whatever you do... Listen to them LIVE... Pure Talent...

Gotta check out John Farnham doing Help with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
One of the best male duets period!
John apparently said that they were drinking from the table while filming this, and john forgot where he parked his car 😂😂
I heard John left in a Taxi and he was so blotto he couldn't tell the driver where he lived.
Welcome to the world of John Farnham a master class every time he sings react to anything live always live he is simply the best. Our Australian treasure ❤❤❤

There is a live version of this as well that's amazing

John Farnham is, without question, the greatest pop singer Australia has ever produced.
Jimmy is a very close second.
Finally a reviewer who doesn't talk through the entire music clip. Thank You! Farnham is the most underrated voice in this world. Awesome
Also, one of the greatest from Australia, Billy Thorpe - " Most people I know "👍👌
From Australia 🇦🇺
Try Mat Taylor Chain doing "Black and Blue", and " I remember when I was young." Band from Australia in the 70's .
John Farnham is Australian Royalty!! Everyone here adores him. You need to watch his version of Help the Bettles classic live with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. You will be blown away I promise you!!!!
Thanks Mate , Great reaction. Two of the greatest of all Time !
It was Deizel on guitar he was also singing after the guitar was featured.
Separately unique voices and then in sync sing classic song together 🤜🤛
Very soulful. Channeling the great soul singers of the past - Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, et al....
You should check this out live they take it to a whole other level.

Stone Cold by Jimmy Barnes is fire!!
I believe he's already reacted to it
If you look good music you’re going to love farnsey
Always choose a live performance from John Farnham.
Live performances are better with these two. Especially with Mr. John Farnham. You should do Help(Beatles cover) from Classic Jack concert
Wow🔥🔥🔥

The Little RiverBand is an Australian band not Canadian
@bernbee1679 My bad, apologies. Thanks for correcting me. I knew that... 👍🤷♀️
There are a couple of live versions which are even better, but they do sing well together
Trouble is some of them get blocked by RUclips for some dumb reason. They block some and not others

You look shook😊
Tbh, the live version on Hey Hey its Saturday is actually better than this studio version. By far. But you get the idea with this one.
No male has the voice range of John Farnham. Not to my educated knowledge anyway. His range is on a planet of his own.
I need a cigarette...
Does john even have a mic
I love Barnsey, but I think Farnham’s vocals are superior… 💯
