This SCP was inspired by "the Turk." The Turk is a german automaton chess player. However, like is this SCP, there was, in fact, a grandmaster playing within. The Turk ran for, I think, about 30 years, had about 3 owners, and many different grandmasters. It was destroyed in a fire at a museum.

@@peashootz9917 its the transmissions that are hard to contain, not the armor itself. I suppose, the transmissions are the reason why this one is Euclid
as a few comments I saw said, at max power, the brains are either suffering, and/or aware of the situation if suffering it could be like overclocking a CPU/GPU, the integrety of the hardwares lessens as it's overclocked, and sometimes some computational/visual bugs can happen
I think this is a reference to “The Turk” An actual chess playing AI to many. And yes, people work within the Turk back, so whoever written this is a history buff to a level.
I'm guessing the fifth setting overloads and overstimulates the brains/ghosts of the girls, causing them extreme anguish. The e-mail would be them using their undead brains' psychic/haunting powers to exact revenge on the researchers by putting them through the same mental pain the girls experienced on the fifth setting. The girls could also be haunting the samurai armor in order to project a warning not to torment them (the sense of unease one gets when looking into the eyes of the mask). Playing chess on high settings below five may be the only reprieve for the girls in their current undead situation. Others are suggesting that they may be begging for death on the fifth setting, but I feel like their actions with the e-mail are more eye for an eye: torment us, we'll torment you back. Seeing as the brains aren't receiving any immediately obvious sources of oxygen or nutrients, I'm guessing they've been made undead or immortal so who knows what would happen if euthanasia was attempted. Poor kids.
ive never heard of most of these scps until i watch your vids. you make things more interesting! thanks my dude! absolutely love what i can discover from you.
I assume that all the different settings besides 5 force the brains to pretty much be a computer processor to play the game at different levels. While 5 I guess was meant to remove the restrictions on the brains so they could play at their full skill, it instead gave them free will again and they are in constant pain and want to be destroyed at that point

Would explain the Samurai armour; the architect was a weeb.

I have never been so dissed by an SCP video in my life.
Yeah. The turk was invented by Kempelen Farkas
Sweet!👍

Dr Bob has viewed the memetic image. It's no Slow Burn Sloth, but we would rather not have our favorite researcher trapped in a lucid dream state.
That slow burn sloth man wooh! That's still probably the most creeped out I have been since "the adults" or " laugh is laughing"
@@kennethwilliams543 a lot of the most creepy ones have the most obscure and mundane names.
his reaction was instant and he felt tired, he said the property of the memetic effects were slow, maybe bob is affected differently by that kind of thing
@@Leostar-Regalius an interesting idea. Maybe by researching and being exposed to so many different memetic effects he has built up a slight tolerance?
I’m assuming that your profile pic isn’t of a kids anime like Pokémon
I feel like this is going to turn into a bigger story that includes Dr. Bob.
It’s funny that a burning skeleton is safe but a chess bot is Euclid
The Classifications arent ment to say how dangerous an SCP is, just how hard it is to contain.
A completly harmless SCP, that constantly tries to escape, needs dificult contanment procedures, or cant be contained at all, would be Euclid or Keter. While a Box that can destroy reality itself when activated but kan be stored in a safe without problems is safe.
Take a look at SCP-2331
The scravecrow, for an unconainable harmless SCP.
@@bertholdbach4959 how the fuck can the metal suit escape in the 1st place.
The two brains are only capable of controlling the pieces, NOT the armor
@@peashootz9917 its the transmissions that are hard to contain, not the armor itself. I suppose, the transmissions are the reason why this one is Euclid
as a few comments I saw said, at max power, the brains are either suffering, and/or aware of the situation
if suffering it could be like overclocking a CPU/GPU, the integrety of the hardwares lessens as it's overclocked, and sometimes some computational/visual bugs can happen
This is Samurai who just wanted to be professional chess player instead of Samurai because of that he escaped japan
Cuz his boss said that he wont get rice anymore so he quited his job XD
Seriously that image shocks me of how creepy it is the first time I learn about this SCP.
bro i love how you talk about not well known scps

Bob is the best SCP narrator I've ever heard from thanks for reading this, hope your channel grows.

It actually means checkmate
I think this is a reference to “The Turk”
An actual chess playing AI to many. And yes, people work within the Turk back, so whoever written this is a history buff to a level.
when they say that you play like a bot
but they are playing chess
Which level?
Ah, the image has to be a collage essay, what else can cause you to miss sleep and devolope paranoia
While 5 I guess was meant to remove the restrictions on the brains so they could play at their full skill, it instead gave them free will again and they are in constant pain and want to be destroyed at that point

so Dr.bob is infact affected by the scps or he's just tired
I find it funny that the 5th setting can basically be summed down to someone trolling, and eventually flipping the board & rage quitting.
Also, it’s interesting how a victorian-era themed SCP causes digital mimetic hazard production; I wonder if it was made in recent times (when computers were a thing) rather than the far past? Would explain the Samurai armour; the architect was a weeb.
SCP 2847 contains an AI built during the Xia Dynasty of ancient China. The AI, built by a predecessor of the Church of the Broken God, is so advanced that it has a touchscreen, Windows XP, and unlimited internet access. It was also designed to be infinitely scalable with modern technologies.
Its not unheard of that the self preserving scp's update with the times,
Laugh is fun for example moved from regional free tv channels to vhs to dvd and last reportedly to ( not) netflix.

Some facts:
1. Since The Brain Matters are Lucid, the two girls are still alive although are cursed for eternity in playing chess
2. The image is the picture of the two girls groaning in pain and suffering for eternity, being forced to play chess.
