Dr Bob brings you SCP Foundation Safe Class object, SCP-3998 The Wicker Witch Lives Animation.
SCP-3998 is a human cadaver, which expired late 17th century. SCP 3998 lacks any legs, and is covered in extensive fourth degree burns. Sometime after its death, the remains of SCP3998 were collected and fashioned into a scarecrow, held together by wicker, nails, and wire. The object constantly exudes a flammable liquid from its bones, which is composed primarily of ethanol and human fat and each night, between 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM, SCP-3998 ignites and is engulfed in flames.

Actually the opposite of that is true. Like how frederick the great is assumed to be gay even tho there isn't any prove, just a interpretation of events. So yeah historians are usually correct and the narrative is flipped to accommodate lgbtq ideas. When a historical figure is gay they do indeed give the appropriate terms, but most of what is thought to be gay is a very loose interpretation of events. For example any close male friends in literature ever written.....

basically: introverted woman gets burned for doing nice magic and swore on her life (or after-life) that when an innocent person gets abused in a relationship the abuser will die a morbid death.
Depends on which tale is true. It's possible that she indeed made contact with a demon or spirit of sorts and entered a relationship. If so, it is more likely that the demon/spirit is responsible for the deaths caused thereafter rather than the burnt woman.
@@Bluesit32 According to the SCP wiki entry, it is likely that she was brought back to life, took her ex-husband's legs to replace her missing ones, then turned him into scp-3998. She then went off with Clovis, though it was not mentioned whether or not her life was extended past the normal human span, and thus whether she is still around.

If so it make sense, soon after her revival the two got revenge on her husband and possibly the rest of the village and proceeded to put some kind of curse on the husbands corpse.
S K Finally, someone who reads from the wiki and that KNOWS that scp 3998 is not the girl, is her husband.
My theory is that Clovis revived her as a ghost or something, and they used his body for a time to punish abusers until the foundation took it. Then, they had to resort to a different body, maybe her own since she was a ghost, or maybe one of the abusers the Scarecrow killed. That’s why even after containment, the killings have gone on.
If so, it’s a somewhat happy ending, since they’re together bringing justice to domestic abusers

Which actually brought more of a sense of relief than anything. times were a lot simpler back then and people were scared of what they didn't understand so the witch trials while bad for those who burned to death. Made the townsfolk feel safer due to the presence of the devil being banished.
