One of the few creators who actually discuss their experiences with the 2ndary market. Thanks for the info! Never got a chance to purchase previous releases, but managed to snag this one.
Hearing you speak of the 2022 release makes me think of some single cask distillery exclusives that I grabbed while in Scotland recently. Glendronach and Glenallachie specifically. Both about 12 years old, both incredible sherry bombs at cask strength. Absolutely love that style of whiskey, will have to keep my eye out for the Bunna 2022 now
Glad you enjoy some scotch. Bunna is my favorite scotch. You really should try the 18 and 30 year is unworldly really. If you’re looking for the 2022 Bunna 12 year old cask strength I have 6 of them.
Quite enamoured with that 2022, eh? 😋 I guess thats what Im pouring tonight then. Cam, I sent you a sample of that Spanish malt whisky Navazos Palazzi a while back. Reason being the Malt-Review website ranked that even higher than the Bunna 22. I personally dont see it, but now you have a chance to try them alongside each other. And to your point, this expression hasnt set the world on fire. With some digging I can find the inagural 2021, 22 and 23 on shelves around me. Thanks for the vid! Cheers.
The 2022 12 year CS Bunna is a flat out Unicorn. One of the best Scotches I’ve ever had, personally. And it’s widely regarded as a very special release. Bought 1 bottle, tried it and bought two more 😂 And when you add water to the ‘22 it just becomes almost indescribable
Unfortunately I missed out on the 2022. The 2023 is solid like you said, but nothing special (at least I only paid $72). I have blended the 2023 with Glenallachie 12, about 75% 25% just to take out the rough edges and the GA being more of a low proof sherry bomb... actually turned out really good 😂
I love Bunnahabhain. It is no doubt one of my favorite distilleries. Haven't tried the 23 yet. I have the 21 and 22 and love them both but the 22 is a notch better.
Not related to this particular episode but ... Just received a liquor store advertisement for "Glenmorangie *12* Year The Original." (It's not finished.) Can't find any other references (nor RUclips videos) regarding a 12 Year. I've liked the 10 Year and have wondered why they haven't done a 12 Year. Anyone seen (or tried) The Original 12 Year?
For reasons unknown, these have never been available in Canada, even Scotch heaven Alberta does not get it. That said unless I could get the 2022 or the next release matches it, I have no interest. Great review!

Spot on review. I think the 2022 is the best $100 and below bottle I’ve tried. Bought a bottle, had 1 pour and ordered 2 more.

These Sunday scotch whisky reviews are awesome. Great way to flex out of our comfort zone.
I’m grateful that it sits. Just a solid pour
Great video!

Great review, Cam! Given that stores that still have it are upcharging for the 2022, what do you think is a reasonable price for it?

I have the Bunna 23. It’s really good. You can buy it directly from the distillery.
Welp, hope I can find this in Texas on my next trip! Cheers.
Should still be at Spec's. Use the lookup tool to find a store with it in stock.

I wish I could get this Bunna in Canada. So frustrating.
