My husband came home the other day with a tent he found at a close out walking through Walmart for $15. He did not know what it was. I had to go buy the frame and show him what he had. We love it ! Great video!
Thanks for the vid. I just got one but have yet to use it and was glad to see it has a floor as I intend to use it for a chill spot for 3 small dogs when I'm I'm dirtbiking. I also purchased and have yet to try the big buddy and am wanting a disco bed. Small world.
it seems like at night, if you keep a little lantern hanging for a while, you'd get little bugs on top of that open mesh in the tent roof. I think they should give the ability (another layer of zipper nylon) to zip that up and keep it sealed.
Not only do I like that style of tent, I like the concept of it. I wonder if it has replacement canopies for the top? Run a dark on in colder weather and a bright reflective one in warmer weather. Every little bit helps.
neat tent. My coleman 6 person instant tent is similar. I use the discobeds in the coleman. I like the discobeds, but I do find them kind of tiring and tedious to set up and break down (the latter is easier, just a lot of hunching over the bags, etc.). I started using a mallet to make it easier to break them down (for whacking the bars up to loosen the discs).
@@LibertyBanjo I just saw a 10x20 endeavor setup with 10x10 camp cube. You could do the other 10x10 of it up with screened enclosure It would be pretty easy to do.
I'm shipping this tent off to EAA Airventure in which I'm pretty excited to use it for the week. We're going to commercial air in, and leave it with some family nearby.
Mr. Buddy's run on propane, too. However his CO2 detector is too high. CO2 sets on the floor and fills the room. It's necessary to have a smoke detector, too. Much like an RV.
Since it has square sides, I do recommend use of ratchet straps if in windy conditions. Otherwise, the lower floor pan does a good job if not in huge water. Good luck.
I just purchased a camping cube. I used it for the first time last night, in conjunction with my caravan canopy, and it's just plain awesome. Have you used it on windy days yet? I have a nice system for securing my canopy but was wondering how much the cube blows in moderate winds.
I think they have varying strengths of frame, with Endeavor being their most rugged. It's their commercial/industrial grade, made more for bad weather. An obvious thing to do but that I never hear talk about is setting these shelters to "half mast" in heavy winds. Something just above all the way down, where you can still sit at table. Of course, getting all the leg-weight and guy-lines as heavy-duty as possible also helps.
What is this unit like when protecting from the rain...??? 🤔 I'm considering purchasing a unit for my new venture and need to keep equipment dry during a possible downpour. Thanks. 😎👌
I think if you keep the top corners tight, water will shed. If the corners get baggy, loose than water may pool with the resultant deluge. It's not been a problem on this unit.
Update is, the canopy and tent are being stored in WI. its there for use during EAA Oshkosh Fly In. Lately we have been hosted in an awesome Class A MH for the big airshow, so the E-Z is in semi retirement.
It’s a light weight design but stand up as you can see. It’s all a trade off. I like the versatility of sun shade use when needed. With proper ground cover, I consider it good in the waterproof department.
I 1st seen this on an iPad Pro with Good Ear Plugs, I think you know what I`m going to say. The Music is AWESOME, the banjo got my eyes watering up. My goodness just I stopped and had to go to PC on a big screen and Play the Video though, The Sound System . `st time on your channel . I hope I`ll get to see you`ll doing the complete Song. and what did you Name that? Good video Awesome Sound! You will love this Music to the Video! /:-)}}}} Play Loud ...
Been looking at these, love the design but works out so expensive in the UK. Even just to get the tent (no frame) it works out to almost 350USD regardless of getting from E-Z UP EU or importing from the US. Seems ridiculous :(
looks like good quality. Is this the same thickness as a tent material or is it more of a canvas. The ozark trail one is $80 and seems similar but I'm sure is as thin as they can make it.
Not on this one but yes on the Shiftpod II. On the E-Z Up, AC would work perfectly thru the doggy door but it out be all vent out thru the top as its a mesh screen. I guess you could drape a cover on top to trap the conditioned air.
The CO2 detector is up too high. CO2 sits on the floor and fills the room (smoke rises)! Smoke detectors go up. With your cot setup you'll be dead before the detector. Signals.

Nice video. This really looks good. I'm impressed with the floor. I just got a vented Patriot by EZ UP. So many options. Versatile!
Right on
This is the best tent used in rain dry after! Fan will cool this tent great product😊

Love the disco bed but its heavy !! I can only imagine use during longer stays, like a week or longer.

Easy to do. I did the same two years ago. Any of the slant leg E-Z Up canopies will work.
Great idea! Replacement tops are available on our website: www.ezup.com/parts/tops.html
@@LibertyBanjo I think you need the square leg EZ-Up canopy for the camp cube.

Beautiful view.... I live in flat Michigan...
Some kind of awning or a mesh vestibule an absolute must !!!
I agree, perhaps another E-Z Up canopy adjacent?

I have had mine for a couple of years and love it
How's it in heavy rain??
I'm shipping this tent off to EAA Airventure in which I'm pretty excited to use it for the week. We're going to commercial air in, and leave it with some family nearby.
Great video and tent- Thank you- watch the buddy heaters, use electric, buddy heaters have been catching fire..

Much like an RV.
Finally ordered one, a bit frustrating they are so expensive that I had to "save up" but hopefully it will last.
I also own a Shiftpod II. This E-Z Up is very affordable when compared.
I m planing to get two of these how well does it handles in rain and wind🧐. Thank you for the video really cool and roomie tent ⛺️

Pretty cool - will this tent hold up on the beach with winds
For high-wind conditions and near vertical walls, I suggest ratchet straps well secured.
This would be great for homelessness emergency shelters
I would think you would want something that keeps in heat. This tent is normal tent thin.
Is it water proof any leaking problems nice video
What canopy did you use? I thought there was only a couple canopies that would fit
Right, all the 10' angled leg models will work. There are enough support brackets inside to fit the tent portion.

Very nice setup
I know this is a older video, if you still use this do you know the dimensions of the dog door? Asking to see if a window ac would work in that space
If the canopy top was the longer on the sides coming down it will stop blowing in rain which is able to leak in the hole in the top
can we have an update ? also, whats the brand for the canopy ?

Thanks for the great review! 👍
Great review. Thank you. Question... Your tent looks like it's the Royal Blue color and not the Splash color, correct?
That is correct
great channel 👍 and nice videos
Thank you. I love camping and most all things outdoors.
What's the product name for the hanging organizers you have in the corner??
They were available from E-Z Up. Very smart idea.
Like it lots. 😊 Nice
How does it do in the rain? I have been having trouble finding a family size tent that is rainproof.
It’s a light weight design but stand up as you can see. It’s all a trade off. I like the versatility of sun shade use when needed. With proper ground cover, I consider it good in the waterproof department.
Good vid! But it would have been nice to see you put it up? Since its called EZ-up
Sure, next time. Thanks for watching.

Are there bug screens on all the windows or just the one? O can't tell from the video...😔
Yes, all openings have mesh screens.

Find someone to mail you one. You can find them in the US for about $99 USD
What about very windy days?
Consider ratchet straps.
Hi!! what model of ez up cube do you have? 5 or 6.4?
Its the 5, designed for the slanted leg E-Z Up unit.
Can you use the doggy door to put a ac window unit
I think so. Here are the specs. Door 6" off ground, opening 15" W X 13" H.
@@LibertyBanjo thank you
Is this tent waterproof
I would say yes.
How's the Zipper? do they look pretty sturdy? I have a Coleman Cabin tent and I've torn the Zippers... Didn't look heavy duty or poorly built...
Zippers are good, no issues.
how does it handle in the wind?
Good but I always stake her down. Plan on four stakes.
Where you get it. And of it
What are you trying to ask?
Can this be used with a 10x10 slant leg canopy?
Yes, this is the 10X10 slant leg canopy.
What size vide works with a 10x10 slant canopy? Thank you
@@sdp923 vide?
Hey question how does it due in windy conditions
Good to about 25 mph best guess. Any direct side winds, I would add ratchet straps for security and sway control.
Does it come with the gear loft or is that extra
Gear Loft was extra. I can see one can make their own easy enough with some triangle shaped material and three clips.
I recently switched tents to the Shiftpod2. Standby for that cool video.
Co2 detector on the floor co2 is heavy gas

I'd like to know as well
I have a 6.4 the quality is superb does not compare to the ozark trust me you will not regret purchasing I was pleasantly surprise at the quality.
is it waterproof?
Advertises as YES. But as always your mileage will very. In WA state we get some serious rain.
Adding a/c ???

did it leak?
We missed the 6 inches of rain in 18 hrs but NO leaks.
Good video. Music is a little enthusiastic compared to your narration otherwise 9/10
