High 5 Habit: amzn.to/3fMvfPQ
The 5 Second Rule: amzn.to/3372Rl9
This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.
I wrote newtons law of motion on my encouragement board. “A body in motion stays in motion, a body at rest stays at rest…” I have set myself the target of sleeping without my phone in my room and 100 hundred days of physical activity. On day seven today and feeling great.
Awesome!
👋
good jumpstart!
Keep us updated, let us know how it goes...best wishes to you 🙏🏾
How did it go?
I'm 68 and this advice is invaluable to prevent me disintegrating into an "old age" mindset. Thankyou Mel.
When I woke up this morning I watched this video. I watch videos like this almost every morning. Yes, I am addicted to my phone, but it serves me for comfort, learning, productivity and connection.
It's about balance between addiction and isolation. It's hard to find the balance for many, including me. The internet has so much to teach and learn and be connected, but for some it's a way to leave real life- not so different than tv back in the day. No different at all. It makes me so mad about how many people ruin a good thing.
I totally get where you’re coming from it’s been like four days since I discovered this video and I’ve watched it almost every day and I still haven’t stopped the morning scrolling
Same here Peter
I love my phone. And my dog.
Totally relatable - but for me it's escapism. It's avoiding the trauma from my past that I'm still allowing to creep in and cause anxiety.
I'm so self-aware that THIS IN ITSELF causes stress responses and anxieties in the KNOWING of what I'm doing to myself.
Left my phone in the bathroom last night and then I did it this morning! I got up 30 minutes early, made my bed and started the day!
Ready for day 2…I just started my dream job 2 weeks ago and cannot say how much I needed this❤️
Thank you Mel, thank you Universe…
how's the job going? i'm in the same boat right now.
@@saiyan2510 The new job is incredible! I admit I lost touch with all but a minimum of self care for a couple months, found out a little more about what doesn’t work for me anymore and am back on track!!
Wish I had started Listening to Mel 20 years ago
So many people can’t for whatever reason get help ‘in person’ through a therapist, practitioner, coach, friends and family, etc., and you and your work are providing a life-line. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I know this is a year old, but I created a YT library of inspiring content for my goals in 2024. I listen while cleaning, doing mundane work and driving. Mel is the mentor we all need. Thank you, Mel! ⭐️
I’ve deleted all social media except for RUclips and now the phone is coming out of the room. Thank you Mel Robbins!
💪 I will keep my phone away from me. Thank you Mel
My morning routine is the entire morning
Water with lemon, meditation, reading, workout, one hour power housekeeping, shower, lunch and then I go with the rest of my day.
Mine is most of the morning, very similar to this. Love it!
What about work?
@@michellechilton3345 Yes, I agree; some of us haven’t retired yet, I’m 61 and have 3 to 4 more years of out of house public work to go.
@@ladyleah1961 yeah, I’ve probably done half a days work before they’ve finished their “sun salutation” 😂😂
@@michellechilton3345 When you're working full time, a morning routine is a luxury and "to plan your day" sounds great, but my day is planned.
Coffee, shower, dress, drive, work, drive, cook, clean, (insert whatever the husband and kids need today), sleep - repeat tomorrow.
Thank you ❤
1st of all, Mel, you and your husband helped put a smile on my face this morning. The 2 of you are cute together 😄 I also want to mention that I found you here on RUclips just over 2 weeks ago & I am very thankful for all that you have done to help so many others. There are a few ppl, like you, that are assisting me in feeling better. I've been eating up what you have been putting on my plate; the new podcasts & the older ones. Today, I am present. It's 1 step at a time. My goal is to be aware of where my mind keeps going, so I can work on rewiring it to feel better & better. I can make the choices needed, to make those changes I want to make.✌️💙☀️ I'm also going to smile more often as well. Thank You 😀
I tend to be on my phone for too long during the morning and early afternoon. Some times it's my way of avoiding things that I ought to be doing. I need to make changes in my life, tired of bad habits and overwhelming anxiety. Thanks Mel you're very helpful 👍
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾tnx Mel! luv you !!!
I love that your teaching positive ways of living a better life with out social media or at least less social media. The world has become so obsessed with their phones, and less focus on how to live a better life.
This is Amazing, and beautiful. Thank you Mel Robbins.
Thank u. U are amazing 💞
I like this information. So important to have a couple hours to wake up naturally.
Thanks Mel! 5,4,3,2,1... Let's Go 🚀 You have been my number 1 motivation for my morning routine! 🌞🙏 My most powerful morning routine has been the biggest factor in creating my BEST Day!! 🌞🙏💜🚀 Thank you, is not enough!! The Mindset/Reset was phenomenal ...life changing. Now I am reading your New Book....High Five Habit... AMAZING!! You are one of my top 3 people I follow...my mentor...my friend! I ask myself throughout the day what would Mel do, and follow through? 💜🙏🤗😘 High Five!! ✋✋
Mel, Thank you so much for this. Today at 4am, I used the 5 second rule to get up, no phone, tv, or radio amd made my drive to the gym. I jad a great workout and am full of energy along with a great mood. I work from home so this is huge. Love what you provided. Keep up the great information.
That is awesome. Hope you’re keeping up with it. Best of wishes to you.
Amazing. How us your evening routine and how did you adjust your stuff after work so you still get your 8 h of sleep?
My morning routine:
1. Gratitude
2. Meditate
3. Make my bed
4. 2 Hour walk
I’m with you -starting my new routine tonight ❤🇺🇸.🧘🏼♀️
I am very down right now and you are being à great help. Thank you.
I am going to try this.
Done and done. After listening to this yesterday, Mel, I immediately bought an alarm clock (the first one I've had in years) and put my phone downstairs with the ringer on. I had SO much focus this morning and am accomplishing a ton in one day. Huge thanks to you for the facts and encouragement. 🙏 You're a true gem. 💛
Me too!! That was something I resolved to do before this video; an alarm clock and flashlight, so there was no excuse to have the phone in my bedroom. 👏🕊🙏
My promises every morning to have a verycold shower and then i can do all things as a routine.

You are such a beautiful person in every sense. Thank you for the exceptional work you do and for your loving support, encouragement, and honesty. I can’t find words to express how much I admire you and how much much I want you to know what you being in the world means. I get emotional thinking about this.
Enjoy being with each other! The number 1 goal!
thanks for your support. I tried the phone challenge, I slept well but woke late.
Thank you
I'm going to try it! I work night shift. I'm going to have my coffee set up and everything
I will try. I’m addicted. This has to stop. Thanks 💐
Waking up,making tea or coffee, making my bed, taking a walk, work on my garden ,reading a book, these little things make me happy.Great video thank you.Be thankful for waking up today
Thanks!
Luv you Mel xx
I turn on a Mel video immediately when I wake. Just about any Mel video gets me on track. It doesn't need to be a specific subject. Just hearing her talk puts me in a state of action. Reminds me I'm changing for the better. Mel Robbins connects with me like no motivational speaker has. I have stopped hitting snooze, I wake up earlier, I high-5, but I need the 10 min meditation, 5 goals for day/Journaling parts to feel more organized. These videos are still my training wheels. I am less depressed than I've been in many years. I think when I get my morning routine down I'll be ok with leaving phone off or out of room, but right now, I'm in the best state I've been in because I found MR about a month ago.
She is the only one ---- that CAN , none Can nt do this. It is true what you are saying
💪5,4,3,2,1 and say I don't feel like getting up and throw that feeling away and just get up. It was simply amazing how your Feeling dictates " EVERYTHING" you do or don't do. I've notice that feeling was something not physical and once I remove that "FEELING" it helped visualize what I really needed to do to improve myself at that moment and um ... I just did it anyways!! Thank you so much, Mel!!
Thank you ,
Love this!
Thank you Mel.
I'm going start a morning routine like this🎉😊
I will try it tonight! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I have heard Mel say this on several videos I listened/watched but have been avoiding it. But my morning routine has gotten worse and worse and really can’t deny its affecting the rest of my day. I am going to plug it in the bathroom tonight and get going
Thank You. Martina Ireland
Youre so right. Depressed I started small changes and I see positivity happening thanks for validating
Thank you for the book of awakenings..I am not tied to my cell and am retired, so actually wake up earlier than I would like..but I have borrowed several of your routines. I make my bed every morning already, but setting my clothes out at night, reading a passage awakenings and journaling are new tome…thank you
💪 tomorrow morning is my new day to a new start. Thank you for the inspiring words!!!
love your mindset! You freakin got this!!
💪
👍
👍👍
Thanks mel!! God bless ♥️ from Malaysia
I Love watching your videos ❤️
Mel YOU ROCk!! Please know you impact and change people's lives!! Am so excited to do this EVERY day!! Am so happy to have found you!!! THANK YOU!! FROM the bottom of my heart ❤️ yes profound. And yes it is impacting my productivity!!!! Yeah!!! 👐🏼👍🏼👊🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I watched the original video 2 years ago and I’ve made my bed everyday since then. Thanks Mel.
I love your every video of yours. I hope through your message it will change my life⭐⭐
I’m 50 years old. I get up at 6:30am and make my bed then follow by yoga for 30-45 mins. After that I take shower and pray for 10mins before I begin my work. I take lunch at 12 noon. I do HIIT workout from 4-5:30pm and work again after shower from until late at night. I do not eat breakfast and dinner. I eat once a day at lunch. I feel good, look good and do well at my job.
Is anyone at all feeling this way? I'm 33 a single mum but was always very motivated determined, even before being a mum. Over the years especially 2020 and 2021 where I decided was going to be my best years. I was living temporarily living with family who are negative and not very ambitious. I feel like I'm at this stage where I'm fighting to be the best version of me but I'm exhausted as I feel like over the last 10 years or so people have tried to change me, change my perception of the world because of their own unhappiness. I was feeling amazing at both the start of 2020 and 2021 and I want to feel the same for 2022 I want my excitement back. I feel however that soo many pieces of me have been taken away in some form that has lead me to feel like I'm at this weird stage of fighting yet again or just becoming mediocre in life which was never me. I used to be excited, passionate and truly believed we can have or be anything. Has anyone learnt to overcome this and get your true self back and even better. My daughters only 4 and I want to be high on life how I was previously
I feel the exact same way! BUT I believe consistency of effort over time will yeild the results I want and I'm so encouraged by Mel's message to start my day 2mro with intention 💪 Hang in there Faith Selflove, this season of your life wont last always. Abundance and blessings are on your horizon ❤ Sending you hugs and encouragement 💞
Great Mel!! I agree. Keep giving us the reinforcement. You are a gift to us all.
Hi Mel, watching your video to day got me thinking yes !! I needed this for 2 1/2 I have been sad, lonely, felt unloved , lost, even felt like I am done with it all but me under the bus ! Today I am going to pick my life up am 65 years old , thank you for showing me some hope x
@MelRobbins just keeps it so fucking simple & real that’s what this shit WORKS! I love you, Mel!
💪🏼 I just started it yesterday before watching u, n now u just helping me even more 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thankyou, discovered you recently, your videos are great and so helpful.
I will put into practice the mor I g routine as I do all the wrong things at the moment.
What happens if half way through the day you become “stuck” on a project - start the day full of thoughts that it will be finished by the end of the day - by mid-afternoon not much achieved and nowhere near the end goal - anxiety sets in as not going to reach goal. This pattern repeats itself day after day. How to get out of it? Thankyou for your ideas on this.
I'm trying this. I switched phone off overnight put it in my hand av away from my bed. Got up when I woke up 7.15am, did my planning in the morning avoiding outside influences. Hi fived myself in the mirror. I'm ready for the day even when yesterday I didn't feel like it. Thanks Mel. Also I've slept better this week 7 hours rather than waking in the night and staying awake 4brs then snoozing and getting up exhausted, and wanting to nap in the afternoon.
This woman is awsome
Love this, does doing the programme work for older people🥴🤔🇮🇪
That is why it is important to feed our mind with God's word- the living word as soon as we wake up because we are spiritual being and man cannot live on bread alone but in every word that comes from God
😍👍
So you say if you listened to the first ten minutes you have the lesson for today. I truly believe that I got it yesterday.
I too use my phone as my alarm but other than turning it off, I don’t look at it till I get to work. Too many other practices in place to mess with the phone. I do however use utube to put me to sleep at night. Usually a sleep meditation.
I Will try this tonight . I only sleep 2 hours per night , from 3 to 5 And dont snooze or nap during THE day. I do try eating very Healthy everyday lots of fruits And veggies . I would like to sleep more hours per night . So no blue lights
Thank you Mel you nailed it
Wow. Thank you for great information!!!!!
*"In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can." - Nikos Kazantzakis*
Prior to bumping into this video, I started turning my phone off, (still in my room) and I MADE myself focus on me, affirmations, made my bed and stretching. I noticed I wasn't concerned with the happenings on social media. Centered and grounded was the feeling. 😊😍 I'm going to leave it outside my room now.
Very empowering-elevating!!! Thaaaank you! Mel you are now one more of my top ten persons to emulate.
Thanks Mel....I need this so much...I am sick of my own voice telling me...I will do it tomorrow....and I never do....Well no more...it starts tomoro......Big hugs..
I love listening to Mel. She's helped me many of times with personal feelings and thoughts I needed to have some input on.
👍I'm definatley going to try this
Thumbs up and thank you 😊

Thank for this. I am so grateful for such real and positive information that I can relate to. This makes so much sense. I am a "snooze alcoholic" Thank you!
Yes amazing. I am ready for a change to move forward. Thank you
You got this!!
💪 I’ll do it! Thanks for these tips to avoid being hijacked in the morning by phones and social media.
I'm going to try it.

Thank you Mel...today after watching your video...will b the 1st day of the rest of my life. It's bn tough the last few years bt i am starting with baby stems...phone in the hallway, 5 second rule has me out of bed, and a high 5 to me! I hv saved this video and will re watch each night for the 1st 7 days as i really nd 2 focus and drill these new habits into my brain. Thank u thank u and God Bless you! 🙏🌈💞 x
Work on your grammar while you're at it :)
Thankyou so much mel,I have watched you for 3 years now, with the ted talks mind set recet your 5 second journal which I have, and continue to use your knoweledge and work to make change to my life and you have totally changed my life, and ime so grateful for your guidance tips your enthusiasm and you sence of humour and passion to make change, kudos to you and your team and family so grateful to you I love you❤👍
OMYGOD Mel great advice!! I've been trying SO hard to keep my phone in the other room so I DON'T go for it first thing upon awakening and start scrolling and never looked at doing that as "bombarding your brain with bs." But I haven't because I don't want to get up and have to go to the other room to turn it off lol. But I'm definitely doing it starting this TONIGHT. I do however, make my bed first thing in the morning because I learned that it makes you feel like you've accomplished something early in the day and when you get home, it's already made vs, being tempted to want to jump back into a messy bed lol.❤️🥰🙏🏼
@aida I’m curious how you’re doing with this. Did you stick to it?
How you wake up matters most to set you up for a productive and energic day!
This is the exact content I needed today.
great info. I will start to have one now and follow on it.
I'm listening to you in my bed, and many other wise people, also meditation for hours... And don't take phone first thing in the morning... Not every day, but I'm too busy to spend time on the phone, unless it's something in my interests area. So, thank you so much for your videos Mel 🙏❤️
Wow… What a wonderful way to articulate how to become more self-discipline! I love the way you present this content.. I started a personal wellness campaign about a year ago.. this is simply awesome!
Thank you for being you and sharing. Yes people dont get it we CAN rewire all the misperceptions and good or bad energy about the memories. See the good thru the bad and make it over power the bad vibes soon the good will outweigh the bad..its so awesome. GODS GOOD
👍 I will try this tomorrow morning!
Thank u. I'm so ready for Monday tomorrow
I love you mel! I just watched your video while doing my routine ❤
Mel...High 5! That was powerful and I hope I love myself enough to follow through. Thank you!
👍 I'm going to try this routine tonight!
Thank you for this message! I’m passing it on and I’m committed to no phone and a morning routine. Happy New Year. PS: love that you have your real life happening. Hi Dad!
will try
