Mel is too good. I too am in the same boat she was when she was 41. Only difference is that I am 52. So I am going to break this circle taking inspiration for Mel.
I literally cried when she said she had been either ignoring or criticizing herself for years because I've never related to something so much in my life. I haven't found many women that have been through everything I've been through; this was great.
Omg so mind blown by how simple Mel’s tip for getting paid for speaking when you have no clue on what to ask for! Thanks for doing this ladies and love all your content!

I love how extremely intelligent people always say they aren’t that special or intelligent when in actual fact they’re! I absolutely loved this podcast!
I’ll be the one to say it. Mel Robbins could have had better interviewers. Instead of asking deep meaningful questions or ideas to Mel. They brought the conversation back to themselves, in a very superficial way. A good interviewer would have kept the focus at hand. By asking more questions for viewers with this large amount of GOLD spilling out of Mel’s mouth.
100%.. omg, I was so annoyed when the interviewer interrupted Mel to say "this is my fav. intro everrr. blah blah blah".. like really? Mel was in the middle of explaining how she negotiates her salary.
So much in common with this woman it’s mind blowing! life of anxiety , depression and pushing myself with the wrong kind of motivation - anxiety!! “ I have been on the run since I was a little girl” DITTO!! Time to live intentionally, sanely ,successfully and sustainably! I got this ! 🙌 Get ready world here I come!!
I literally got chills where she talked about constantly being on edge and her SA. I had the same horrible experience and relate to those feelings so much. This woman is amazing.
I loved every bit of this. Her authenticity, her vulnerability, her down to earth relatability. I cried listening to this because you don't have to be a millionaire to relate to what she is saying and she makes you feel that everything is possible. That we are limitless and resilient beings.
Media and elites made our children scared and anxious. Still working for some that still watch MSM. This lady is amazing. Real. Raw. Honest. Thx for the video. Helpful in every way
This resonated with me on so many levels; the anxiety of not enough time, the daily self-loathing (and people see me as a positive force!) and always achieving and feeling guilty for not doing more. This has to stop. Thank you ladies for such a candid and useful talk. I LOVE Mel and have followed her for years and great to add two more incredible women to my ones to watch.
Wow, this interview made me stand up taller! The best line for me was about putting the time and money in beforehand to help with imposters syndrome. I feel like I’ve done with with my debut novel, putting everything I can into it. This line makes me feel more proud of my work!
I like her so much for her brutal honesty ..I've been run down following a car crash and then adding pain to the suffering Covid and all the restrictions and unable to get medical care abroad etc..she's a bright star when everything is dark. What she forgets to mention is she has talent and ressources ( intellectual, creative etc..)She's incredible and knows what she's talking about as opposed to some psychiatrists who never had a traumatic experience or feeling that way ..yet it's so hard when your body is aching and in pain so badly, lack of energy, loosing everything and then finding the energy to fight a crooked system ...and no support, total isolation ..it's so difficult but at least there are women like her looking out for others
I met a book writer in Sherborn Ma who works for a very famous online corporation and said you are a wonderful speaker, and that theyve had you speak to their employees many times. You are loved Mel!
I was feeling like crap today and friend sent me this video. It's crazy how much better I feel after just an hour. The energy, wisdom, and positivity that all three women in this video exude is just amazing. Thank you so much for sharing
Every once in a while I'll stumble across a video I think will be so impactful, that I'll save it for reference... for inspiration. Thank you for making this. I'm less than 5 minutes in, and I stopped to say this. What I picked up on immediately is your authenticity. It's perfect timing that I found you!
17:07 Not for the ego rush, but making the people who are invisible behind the scenes feel visible and like working with you has been a really great experience for them. 18:00 You have to understand "deal flow". Then they will want to work with you next time and spread your name to other people they know. Basically, have really great social skills and networking skills. Don't focus on yourself, focus on how you can bring value to other people. Focus on the things that really matter. 22:24 The 5 Second Rule works, because it's so simple that everyone can remember it. Tools only work if you use them. 23:05 When you start counting you've already made the first decision. You've moved from hesitating and fear and doubt, into action. You've gone from a bias towards thinking to a bias towards action.
Listening to you, I honestly could swear I was listening to you tell my story. Your drive and motivation is the same focus as to why I started my channel. I too have overcome (and still in the process of overcoming) great amounts of loss, am a recovering alcoholic, endured 19 years of narcissistic abuse, lost my job as a nurse due to cptsd, and the list goes on. I too had to ask my parents to dig me out of debt, have two teenage girls, am the hardest worker I know, always on the go, struggle with my cptsd, but keep going! You and I are singing from the same choir and I commend you for all you do! God bless you
She got me at the how she treated all people!!! The planner, the techs and speaking to everyone! I love that!! I think that is so important! Thank you for this interview.
I might be living under a rock but had no idea who Mel was. And wow, what a powerful story!! Love that women are able to share more money stories like this one. Everyone should be able to speak freely about personal finance.
Didn’t know who this women was but she is just so damn relatable and the way she explains things with science really conveys the importance of things for me to understand. I’m buying the book :)
Anxiety: caused by the feeling that you have to be someone that you’re not in order to be accepted. Wow. Great quote. Awesome food for thought. Never quite got the message that there’s a treadmill effect to anxiety directly linked to maintaining the persona we try to create and maintain. Step off the treadmill by simply halting the effort and be authentic and truthful (which usually accompanies empathy and patience since we’re being honest about being limited, struggling people in the first place). Once off the treadmill, we can make real, sustaining improvements in our lives and relationships.
Another way to look at what Mel has been teaching in her high 5 habit is practicing self-compassion. There's a whole body of research on the mental and physical health benefits of self-compassion - being kind towards ourselves.
I was on my way to work and this video showed up on my home page. I’ve realize so many things about myself and why I’m not acomplishing what I truly want. I’m beyond grateful that I came across this today. It really changed my life. Thank you! ❤️
I love Mel R. She represents many women. I want to talk her about dating today. I am experiencing all the things her daughters are experiencing. Women need to hear what’s happening and learn how to protect themselves.
I am just watching and hearing about this 5 seconds rule for the first time. I didn’t realize it but I’ve also been doing it, but only when I don’t wanna get out of bed. It works.
This is an absolute GEM 💎 Especially the part about females and finances. As a female from the North of England I totally get the way it has been seen as shameful to talk about money never mind aspire to earn your worth. It’s been a huge money block for me and I never knew why until today! Thank you!! Xx🥰
What a wonderful episode. I am so grateful to be present and truly hear the wisdom dropped here. I am 23 and I’m sure this conversation catapulted my experience beyond my years. Thank you for the 5,4,3,2,1 method and the Hi-Five method. Will be joining the challenge and acknowledging my worth. My life, my dreams are my responsibility
this video came up after a thought acceptance meditation - i think i was meant to hear this today. i’ve been trying to clear my mind every morning and i just can’t. it’s so refreshing to hear mel describe exactly what’s going on in my head. maybe i need to read the high five rule now 😬
I have loved and admired Mel Robbins for years. She is so relatable and authentic - God given talent and insight. Hosts, I can't really hear you, but beautiful set to look at.
I feel like youre talking directly to me. Mel, you have been uploading things back to back changing my life lately - long time liatener but idk I think I'm finally actually HEARING you. Thank you for being you and helping me highlight the awesomeness that is me ❤
Even though I'm a man, I can relate to everything said in this video, from self-acceptance to not undervalue my own worth. Thank you so much for this eye-opening discussion. Great content!
Oh I appreciate the fact that he was bold enough to say even though that this is probably something that women would watch or ascendant towards women he could relate so I am grateful for his comment... 👀
RUclips algorithm finally got it right by bringing this video up. Some of the most simple and honest advise being given that I needed to hear 🙌. Thank you, New subscriber now.
Never did I ever think that an interview would move me this much to the verge of tears. Wow. Stumbled upon this accidentally, ended up listening to the whole interview and I'm sure I will do so again, I am shocked with how accurate, raw, real and important every single sentenced said was! Finally so many issues are getting addressed that we don't even think about because it is so engraved into us we have become used to living with it, and ignoring it, and forgetting they are even there.
Lived this life myself, not to the same level but enough to feel defeated and learn the same lessons. The more success stories you hear the more they start to overlap and take on a pattern. Same skeleton, different skin kind of thing. The reality is that there are many guru speakers out there now, if Mel speaks to you in a way that you can relate, that's what matters but there might be others that really sing vs. speak and it's whoever gets you to make the changes you want in life is who you should double down on and pay attention to. There are many gurus I like to visit and each one has their own panache. Their own poetry in a way, whether it be their delivery or their vocabulary, you're gong to take on their traits because you're being highly influenced with things you confirm to be true to you. Be mindful of this as we are a products of our environment. Whatever you do, wherever you go, whoever you are around, you become.
I absolutely enjoyed this podcast. It couldn’t have been more timely. Her authenticity and the tips that she shared were just so insightful. Definitely listening again with my a notepad!
I am sure Mel was a great and personable lawyer but her career and impact today exemplifies how amazing it is when a personal bravely follows their calling. She went out on a limb and look at her now. She is so impactful and inspiring.. I can listen to her for hours and never tire. I always learn something from Mel. Also: Happy New Year and best of luck to everyone seeking personal growth and inspiration to be their most authentic and courageous selves 💕💕💕
im just now watching this and im over here clapping for Mel because she has truly built herself all of this all by herself. she has taught herself to be the boss lady lol.
Wow this woman is unreal. It feel like I had 56 minutes of a counselling session. I’ve just saved the book on my Amazon account. I’m buying it first thing on payday. Thank you. I didn’t understanding the meaning of love yourself first until I heard this. I’m going to try all that you have said but I feel like my mindset has already changed. Wow. You have a crazy energy and grabbed me from the get go. I was listening and went back to just check how you popped into my feed. Thanks again. I’m going to listen to a lot more. ❤️
I don't know why youtube recommended be this. After watching it, I have to say this.I don't even have 15 of the courage this person has and I appreciate her being upfront about life. Kudos!
I had this Mel Robbins pop up on my audible app today, now youtube puts this on my home screen. Who is she and why should I spend an hour of my life to listen to this podcast?
Back in the day, a few of us would high five at work. It brought such a wonderful feeling of connectedness, of "we're on the same team!" and "we got this!"
You're sitting here talking directly to me as I am LITERALLY cleaning my home, ending/saying fuck it to many projects- trying to pull myself up. I'm on the south shore too I can't explain how connected I feel to this, I'm a broken healer, a work from home full time single mom... ugh. Just thank you. Gowels 😂😂
Oh, man i needed this. It was so real and raw. Women empowering women, especially in a realistic way just touches my soul. Thank you, Mel!! Thanks everyone!
Thank you. This was amazing and made me feel so good about myself and spring board into positive action. My financial position is not where I thought it would be having all my investments and pension all gone with get rich quick schemes and wrong advice. At 52 I am inspired to help people with outdoor therapy for healthy body and mind and develop my speaking. I am glad I've invested the last 3 years into my personal development, countless course, and not to feel guilty about it or worry what other people think. One of my neighbours said, be careful you don't spend all your inheritance.! Thank you for the high five tip, I'll use it in my group outdoor sessions regularly and in the mirror with me in the morning. Thank you again. Extremely grateful. It's just the boost I needed.
I'm a guy and this was very, inspiring. This was certainly more about having belief and self-worth. well done to you all and keep up the great work you do ladies 👏
Wow, just wow. Amazing episode. For real. Had me from beginning to end completely entertained, relatable and inspired. Currently afraid of a career change but wanting it so badly. Inspirational!
I was skimming along the comments and your caught my eye. I am FINALLY working through the same exact problem. I was terrified forrrevverrr and the self doubt...etc...I took a different approach finally and slowly getting my way towards an entire new position with pay that I feel good about. I hope you are doing alright and want you to know, that the voice in your head who breaks you down also broke me...trust me....If I can fight through???....omg......you have got this Maria...look forward to hearing from you! take care
Thank you, this is an amazing podcast. It really hit the nail in the head on the emotional challenges that women go through. Can’t wait to read the book!
It was a blessing for me to stumble across this podcast. I was discharged yesterday from my company. I was working for them for 6 years. I was loyal to them and stood with them across the hardest moments. I gave it my all and attempted to be the best. I sacrificed so much to help them. However, they let me go because I was no use to them. I am not vaccinated, hence I can not work within a school setting. I hope people understand that I am not selfish for the decisions I make. I am truly afraid of the unknown. I have been crying and feeling so worthless. I keep thinking, "maybe I was not smart enough", "maybe I should have tried harder", "maybe I should be vaccinated" ect I am afraid of my future. I am scared that I can't get another job again.I was not eating, I have been in bed and didn't have the ambition to get up. I have thought about suicide. However, I am doing much better and slowly looking at the positives. I will surely start counting down.
man, this tape has me crying bcs i simpatico-so the much so with what robbins states..especially about public speaking bcs i'm still soo nervous about being at all: being: seen, heard and CELEBRATED/FELT!
I literally just teared up at 37 min when she was talking about her anxiety & having to face herself because she was out of distractions. I think we all experienced a bit of that the last 2 years.

It’s been a huge money block for me and I never knew why until today! Thank you!! Xx🥰
Such an exhilarating episode! Thank you @MelRobbins for providing us all with TRUTH, HONESTY AND AUTHENTICITY!!! 🤩
New perspective on so much... I will be saving a replaying this video! Thank you!!!!
Words cannot begin to convey the excellence of this speech from this woman. Her style transcends the epitome of understanding
If this cures my adult adhd and I no longer have to spend money on meds, this will literally save my life.
Implementing the 5 second rule today! Absolutely loved this podcast.
This is exactly what I needed to see at the right time in my life 🌟
Mel Robbins is such a remarkable inspiring authentic teacher , great respect for her,
I feel like youre talking directly to me.

@@mamoon_3738 wow, just imagine then what a man like the one above can do.... 🙄👌🏻🤣 he really must be sooo amazing that can relate🥳🤪... 😬🤦🏼♀️
Oh I appreciate the fact that he was bold enough to say even though that this is probably something that women would watch or ascendant towards women he could relate so I am grateful for his comment... 👀
Such a great episode. The pricing story about the CEO retreat resonated hard!
Cheering and high-fiving yourself every step of the way‼️Own your self-worth, make yourself to be seen, heard, and appreciated.
I am literally crying now... this hits on so many levels!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you!
Only half way through the podcast, and am already taking in so many jewels from it. Thank you thank you for this session, and all that came from it.
Mel is incredible presented and blunt honest and I love her for which she really did
RUclips algorithm finally got it right by bringing this video up.

Wow what a powerful podcast. Mel Robbins is worth every penny that you pay for. Wisdom beyond her years.
I could've listened to Mel speak for more hours. This was such an awesome and powerful interview. I can't wait to read the Hight 5 book. Thank you!💜💜
No words to describe how incredible your words are. Thank you Mel You rock !
im just now watching this and im over here clapping for Mel because she has truly built herself all of this all by herself. she has taught herself to be the boss lady lol.
Kudos!
Wow…. Wild how so many entrepreneurs have these similar feelings. It’s nuts. Love this video.
Just listened…i so resonated with Mel and what she spoke of today!
I just loved watching her talk. I could relate to each point she made and it did really touch me.

Authentic and vulnerable - that makes us to listen to her.
Gowels 😂😂
Mel Robbins you are amazing and thank you BossBabe for asking her to speak!
She really did well but if you want to start making money reach out to first trade markets on the web and complain.
Excellent. Honest and real. Terrifically self-aware (successful) woman.
I'm a guy and this was very, inspiring. This was certainly more about having belief and self-worth. well done to you all and keep up the great work you do ladies 👏
One of the best podcasts I have ever heard in my life. Congratulations. Fantastic job 👍
Incredibly good interview. This interview could have been 2 hours long, and I would have relished it all! I need more of Mel!
Mel Robbins is the best thing that happened to public speaking. I love this woman
I hope you are doing alright and want you to know, that the voice in your head who breaks you down also broke me...trust me....If I can fight through???....omg......you have got this Maria...look forward to hearing from you! take care
This whole thing was absolutely incredible!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I needed to hear this!!!
I feel empowered having finding you Mel! Just when I need a new way of thinking etc. 🙌🏻
Praying for and with you Lola
@@LolaAkinyele Thanks, I am doing so much better!
man, this tape has me crying bcs i simpatico-so the much so with what robbins states..especially about public speaking bcs i'm still soo nervous about being at all: being: seen, heard and CELEBRATED/FELT!
I literally just teared up at 37 min when she was talking about her anxiety & having to face herself because she was out of distractions. I think we all experienced a bit of that the last 2 years.
