Hi Maunalee! This show took place in Mexico City, which is located at a height of 7380 ft. For this reason, Daniela faced some breathing difficulties due to the altitude. You should hear this interpretation elsewhere without that problem For example 3 months ago in Monterrey: ruclips.net/video/MmdhYUoesuI/видео.html Enjoy!
Great reaction! Thanks. What needs to be said about it: They played it in very high altitude. It's about 7350 ft. That's a freaking 2000 ft higher than Denver! And she really flies over the stage a LOT! She's not just standing there behind the mic like old Hetfield. I would compare her movement almost to Bruce Dickinson (who doesn't have to play the guitar at the same time) doing his thing all over the stage and even he is out of breath at times. So yes, she was out of breath at some parts but I'd take it every time because of the energy they provide to the audience. You have to see them live to understand that. I have seen all the huge bands and went to gigs from Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer... multiple times, but none set me on fire as much as those young ladies. Their energy level is off the charts. I'll save my money for the next flights from Germany to Mexico to see them again asap. No complains about your rating and reaction. Just giving an explanation why it was how it was.
They are such Great songwriters at such a young age, it's scary! They really understand music composition at a very deep level. This song is a total gut puncher! Such a savage riff. That Pounding Bass line. And of course the drums! They pull from so many different decades. I've said it before and I'll say it again, their music is familiar, yet fresh!
Dany probably struggled the most on this song from Lunario. She seemed to be struggling to breathe but the energy and pace of the song would take a lot out of any singer, especially at 7250 ft. It also hasn't been pointed out on any of these reactions just how great her guitar skills are. She plays with so much feeling, so emotive. She plays within the song and doesn't go off on pointless 5-minute solos. Dany deserves more love!
I' ll always give Dany love. When she keeps her technique, her voice is really nice. As to her guitar skills, I can't say much. I just know it sounds good.😁
Agree about her voice, especially the raw emotion she conveys, the aggressive tone, you know, rock 'n roll. Enormously better than the auto-tuned "perfection" of today's manufactured pop stars.
This song is called Ugh, because it gave the band such fits, writing it. Every time they tried to finish the song, the response was the same......UGH. 🙂
This song was originally named differently. Like others have said they really had a hard time getting this song done and at one point Paulina wanted to dump it! But her dad had played bits of the song to friends and family and everyone loved the energy and especially there dad and he told Pau that you will work till you get this song done and she just said UGH and thats how the song got its name! Today it is one of there favorite songs to play in concert because it is so high energy.
This song is a masterpiece that nearly didn't happen! Thankfully, they persisted, completing the song and including it on the album _Queen of the Murder Scene_ .. I am so glad you liked it! Cheers!
We all missed hearing this kind of rock. That's why on your first reaction to The Warning you said "I am very protective of rock." I replied " rock is in good hands with these ladies.👍
They were 13 16 and 18 when this was played, the vocals have improved a heap since then. Saw them at The Whisky In January, and the vocals were faultless and I’m not sure a lot of the videos do them justice. It is what it is, great reaction once again 😊
Fun story about the song is that they called it *Ugh* because they had a hard time writing the song and this is what they said every time their father pushed them to finish the song.
This album , there 2nd , is a concept album about a girl with sides and losing herself , Paulina songs the good girl songs and Dany sings the manic obsessive bipolar songs ( they have a song called stalker from the album you haven’t done yet and the title track Queen of the murder scene , she said she was trying to express that maniacal feelings with those songs , she does jump around like a lunatic while playing and singing and she is in favor of passion more than perfection in her performances , the girls parents made them all take classical piano before they could play guitar and drums , they write all of there songs on the piano also
Something you might not know is besides playing the drums and singing Pau also controls the video screen that plays behind them and also the click track that has the underlying piano tracks in the songs.
You have just experienced the best independent rock band. Three mexican sisters that write, sing, play there own music / instruments. All done in english there second language. Born and live in Monterrey Mexico. Am i a fan / supporter of The Warning Rock Band. I will let you make that decision / decisión. 🤘🤘🤘 👍👍👍 🤞🤞🤞
To follow up on your comment about Dani's voice. This show was in Mexico City at very high altitude, so it is very difficult to do a full show without becoming out of breath. They are from Monterrey which is about 1500ft above see level, but Mexico City is more than a mile high. Also they have all been working with a voice coach, but before they could record another live show professionally, the COVID crisis happened, so I am very curious for the next show to be recorded after this.
There's some Foro Didi recorded in Monterey and they were opening act for Stryper where Dany wasn't feeling well and Pau and Ale sang (2) some of the set list. Everyone should checkout Ale singing "Hunter and Red Hands Never Fade" probably the best vocal performance she has done so far. They also did an event called Big City Family where the fans begged Ale to sing lead ,here's link ruclips.net/video/ADxbB5cEp9o/видео.html
Not sure if the people making the Warning requests are supplying the links but there are many more recent live videos where the vocals shine. Their acoustic releases are especially awesome.
In Ugh the obsession is clearly growing and is consuming the Queen. She is afraid of what she is becoming. She doesn’t want it to be that way, she wants it to be simple (“I don’t want to understand, I just want to hold your hand”). She asks to be saved and feels that she is sinking down into a trap. She doesn't know it at this point, and doesn't intend it, but there will soon be blood on her hands.
I know we keep bringing it up, but all of their songs you’ve been reacting to are from this high altitude concert. I think you are liking Dany’s voice more recently because these songs you’ve just listened to were performed at the beginning of the concert, when she wasn’t so out of breath.keep up those The Warning reactions!
Fil from Wings Of Pegasus is one the best reaction commentators out there, and he had a brilliant interview with The Warning several weeks back, and the girls totally enjoyed it.
As Marmelo01 said below, they were performing at a higher altitude than what they are use to. In one of their Vlogs, Dani talked about their difficulties in taking in deep breaths. If you want to hear what these girls sound like. Listen to the Foro DiDi concert ruclips.net/video/yV8gpIrIR9s/видео.html The audio is much better and you can clearly hear the great vocals from these magnificent young musicians. Edit: I forgot to say one their 3rd or 4th song, Crimson Queen, Dani's guitar isn't amped ( Not on purpose) and she carries on singing the song. Very beautiful.
Robert. My opinion on this vs Foro is this. The audio mix is about the same. Dany's vocals are a little better at Foro. Some songs she's a lot better. Video? C'mon it's not even comparable. Lunario is shot so much better. I've been in television for 25 years and I giggle a little when I hear Foro is pro shot.
These girls are SO good, and constantly getting better. I commend them for sticking to their guns, and not signing with a label that wants to change them or take away the fun they are having. I'm guessing they are bringing in enough income to keep going as independents, from the number of Patrons they have AND how quickly their Kickstarter request to fund album 3 blew past their 1 month goal (less than 2 hours). But, I think more people on the planet deserve to hear them, and just don't know it. Which is why I wish they could find a label that could get their music out to more people, through radio play, high profile interviews, gigs on shows like SNL and Jimmy Kimmel, and some of the really big festivals on the various continents. But, it needs to be a label that will just let them do it their way. Say "just make some more magic, and we will promote it when you're ready." I mean, sure the label could get them introduced to different producers, technicians, etc., to maybe give them some new ideas and ways to grow. But, in a no pressure way. So, they keep having fun and don't burn out.
I love Dany's voice, it has so much character and emotion. Sometimes that is more important than 'notes." Additionally, the development of the character throughout this album is reflected in Dany's performance of the songs.
Once again their classic rock influences come through. Used to hear a good amount of tempo changes from bands such as Styx, Kansas, etc .Classic rock bands like that.
So this is commenting on your reactions to both The One and Ugh. First off, stay honest. God forbid you have an opinion that doesn't match what someone else thinks. I would rather get your honest reaction then just phoning it in. I can agree with your call on the vocals even though it doesn't bother me as much. This is a 3 piece independent band of sisters playing rock music. For me they bring the energy and passion that, like you stated, has been missing from the rock genre. I can also say I subscribed to you after finding you because of a reaction to The Warning but I have also watched reaction to other bands/music. Some I agree with others, well not so much but that's the point right? Anyway keep on rockin' and hope to hear more reactions to The Warning in the future.
The band stated that there were around 20 different versions of *"Ugh".* Matter of fact. *"The One"* & *"The Sacrifice"* from the album *"Queen of the Murder Scene"* were earlier versions of *"Ugh".*
I have only ever completely fawned over three bands. Rush, Pentatonix, and The Warning. The girls are smart, driven, independent, and goofballs - VERY much like Rush. It's like hearing Fly By Night and knowing that there is a Moving Pictures in their future. And ours.

Have been following The Warning since Paulina was so young she was barely visible over the drum set. Every time I need to hear creative, but classic, hard rock, they are my go to group. At the beginning they were doing mostly classic covers, but moved on to writing their own music fairly soon after I started following them. On top of that, by all accounts I've seen they are just plain good people. Their parents seem to have done a great job raising them, as well as setting boundaries and being a good example for them, while at the same time protecting them from being taken advantage of by predatory record companies and promoters.
Ok so this is to the entire WA...PLEASEEEEEEE! i'M BEGGING FROM ALL WHO MAKE PAID REQUESTS...please ask her to react to them either now or from a different location!!!! PLEASE!
This was really good and I'm not a big rock fan. I really loved her rendition of creep. I really am dying for you to react to postmodern jukebox creep you're going to seriously love it! I'm obsessed! Love you love your channel!
Maunalee, when you’ve done with the songs on this album (or whenever you feel you’ve done enough) you should listen to the whole album from start to finish, ideally with no distractions. Though I realise that might be a tough ask with your young family! You get a whole different perspective when the songs are connected together.
They acknowledge that vocals are their weakest point, Daniela has been taking vocal coaching and there's still room for growth (she's only 20 YO), sure they will never be like Dimash, but they be the best they can.... Viva Mexico!!
I suggest trying their Foro Didi concert when you're done with Patreon reactions to this Lunario; their performance is better on all aspects in that arena.
I’m not a fan of the Lunario sets. The vocals aren’t on par and it’s two years old. They even admitted they play even better note and Dany definitely sounds better. They should request Fori did or Desrlvados.
Aaron T Rokz i wasn’t really saying it as a criticism b I personally don’t want them to sound just like the studio recording. I just think this concert doesn’tdo Dany justice actually. There are videos of newer shows that showcase their progress in two years so I’d prefer reactors listen to those ya know?
After this show Ale was recommende by a doctor to rest for two weeks...they were in a hard work since months, more all the stress to release QOTMS and the first full show.
Aaron T Rokz I totally agree with you! And I especially love Dany’s portrayal of the queen as the wet go through the chapters. I just don’t think the sound quality is super great
That’s very true! But I’m still not going to give it a 10 if the vocals took away from my enjoyment of the song. Just my opinion though! I love the band!
@@musicwithmaunalee , Please listen to any one of these same songs from the Foro Didi concert and you will have a better appreciation for what's really going on with Dany's singing ability.
The Warnings great we all know that. Whst cracks me up is your former radio dj intro so?? I was too and one can buy their own online station now cause i did branding voice overs for them. Have you? ;)
Can someone upload her Dust to Dust from Foro didi, or more recent , and also QOTMS. Also she needs to hear when I’m alone to hear Dany’s softer voice!
If you get time could you react to Phil Collins In The Air Tonight Live. I saw that you have an autographed picture of him on your wall behind you so I would really love to see that reaction. In case any fans don't know the song is Not about a murder, it is about his divorce.
they've been approached by big labels but in the end, decided not to sign on because all the big companies wanted to change them and have them sing pop music written by other people. they refuse to do that cause they love rock and roll.
@@moreno999 so if the band isn't with a record label the radio stations won't play their music? I know they refused to sign because they were trying to change then and their music 🤘
It is really difficult to sing and play all those riffs and guitar work in this piece; I think Dany is exceptional in accomplishing the ability to do this...
Good job Maunalee But give us a break about dannys voice. She is not trying to be Adele. Its rock and roll. It's like saying ac/dc would be better if Brian Johnson took singing lessons.
She just needs to see something from a different show, everyone seems to only request Live at Lunario when there is so much more to choose from. She shouldn't base her overall opinion on just one night.
Choo mean "finally"? What about L7, Half-cocked, Human Waste Project, Texas Terri, everything on the Girls In The Garage series, Rockbitch, Lunachicks AND all that other shit? Oh you meant lately.
In spite of you watching multiple songs from the same show, we get the same comments about Dany's singing. You've had multiple replies that she wasn't 100% at that show You've had multiple replies that the show was in Mexico City, very high altitude not condusive to singing high energy rock. You are also not doing them or yourself any favours in the way you are playing random tracks from that show. Your reaction should also be to the fit of the song into the 13 song story that is the Queen of the Murder Scene concept album and to the story itsself. I get that you are doing them in whatever order someone pays you to do them in. To me, that says you have no real interest in the band's hard work (as young teenagers too) to produce this incredible album, only in the renumeration. Very sad.
You can't skip it has to be from Chapter I to the end to understand the concept and at this time the voice is perfect I don't think it work now. as a hard core fan, so I also apologize that I recently got to your videos BUT the warning is the baddest band in Europe, Asia and Latin America but I guess that judgmental USA ego will be tough
Those three black marks on Dany's neck is Beast mode in Hispanic culture.
These gals “Rock the Casbah”! Love their energy and enthusiasm! Much love! ❤️😍❤️
I still get chills from their music, two years in.....😀🤘🏻
Impossible not love it. this is the music quality that is missing this days.
And the girls, so talented and so humble. Too much love for their fans.
Hi Maunalee! This show took place in Mexico City, which is located at a height of 7380 ft. For this reason, Daniela faced some breathing difficulties due to the altitude. You should hear this interpretation elsewhere without that problem

Dany probably struggled the most on this song from Lunario. She seemed to be struggling to breathe but the energy and pace of the song would take a lot out of any singer, especially at 7250 ft. This was really good and I'm not a big rock fan. I really loved her rendition of creep. I really am dying for you to react to postmodern jukebox creep you're going to seriously love it! I'm obsessed! Love you love your channel!
This is savage song!!!! 💙💚💛💃💃💃💥💥💥🇧🇷👍😀
Savage song! So good!
You need to check out later shows, Vive Latino, for one. Lunario is from 2018, things change.
Then again will Dimash ever be them??
@@holydado 🤔 wonder if Dimash can sing Ranchera Style?
🤣
No no noooo! Please don't compare them to Dimash! 😛
Creo que dimash podría envidiar mucho de ellas pero no creo que ellas envidien a dimash o gestash
I imagine him singing "El Pastor" it will be wild
Dani struggles the most with her vocals, commands on guitar. I don't think they need to bring in Sammy Hagar anytime soon 😜
I suggest trying their Foro Didi concert when you're done with Patreon reactions to this Lunario; their performance is better on all aspects in that arena.
Did the drums do something to Paulina? In each song she try to annihilate it.
They may owe her money or something...
Hit like a girl.? hah!,
Another great family band is liliac, insanely good.
Have you reacted to their quarantine show yet? You get to know them there. Love your reactions.
I’m not a fan of the Lunario sets. The vocals aren’t on par and it’s two years old. They even admitted they play even better note and Dany definitely sounds better. They should request Fori did or Desrlvados.
Altitude was the problem with vocal issues it's a raw set
Aaron T Rokz i wasn’t really saying it as a criticism b I personally don’t want them to sound just like the studio recording. I just think this concert doesn’tdo Dany justice actually. There are videos of newer shows that showcase their progress in two years so I’d prefer reactors listen to those ya know?
After this show Ale was recommende by a doctor to rest for two weeks...they were in a hard work since months, more all the stress to release QOTMS and the first full show.
The problem is the poor quality of the audio in most fan videos makes it difficult to even hear the vocals properly.
Aaron T Rokz I totally agree with you! And I especially love Dany’s portrayal of the queen as the wet go through the chapters. I just don’t think the sound quality is super great
You talk about her vocals it's rock not every one can sound like Pat Benatar and Anna Wilson
Check out Dany singing the same songs live at FoFo DiDi .
Yes Please!!!
They remind me so much of Sleater-Kinney.
You are stuck on the same show from the start. So, you can’t see any progression in the voices.
Please try something more recent.
She gives it a 9.5
If you get time could you react to Phil Collins In The Air Tonight Live. I saw that you have an autographed picture of him on your wall behind you so I would really love to see that reaction. In case any fans don't know the song is Not about a murder, it is about his divorce.
Check out Ale when she was young. ruclips.net/video/P-IuRNVMsx0/видео.html
I'm starting to understand that no matter how great they do, YOU will never be satisfied.
Hi Maunalee I myself love this band I pursonly don't thank there's anything wrong with Daniela voice but that's just me.
Why isn't rock radio playing their music? Is it because they're not signed with any label?
Correct
they've been approached by big labels but in the end, decided not to sign on because all the big companies wanted to change them and have them sing pop music written by other people. they refuse to do that cause they love rock and roll.
@@moreno999 so if the band isn't with a record label the radio stations won't play their music? I know they refused to sign because they were trying to change then and their music 🤘
Frank J I really don’t know but what other reason could it be? And if so it really a shame.
@@moreno999 I agree 👍
I🖤TW🤘
Good react, pls es to Eruca Sativa, from Argentinian band !!
Wait until you react to Stalker & Hunter.
Have you reacted to Jinjer "pieces live session'?
It is really difficult to sing and play all those riffs and guitar work in this piece; I think Dany is exceptional in accomplishing the ability to do this...
7 viewers are UGH!😜
Retraction. the answer is probably long .. you should start a station of your own.....:)
What is the magic about the eightball?
In spite of you watching multiple songs from the same show, we get the same comments about Dany's singing.
You've had multiple replies that she wasn't 100% at that show
You've had multiple replies that the show was in Mexico City, very high altitude not condusive to singing high energy rock.
Very sad.

hello maunalee , Question ... Why are you a former radio personality ?
"Finally - a good chick rock band!"
Er...BAND-MAID. 🤦
Is It possible to react those oldiescmeaning 70-80s..?
I don't condone fat-shaming, . . . . but that bass guitar is "chunky".
Y'ALL THAT'S 😝👎
