@@SimracingPopometer Perhaps what is the optimal way to save tyres while maintaining solid pace, how does first few laps affect wear during the whole stint and in general how do you aproach and understand tyre wear
Less fuel means probably also less tire wear due to decreased weight. So saving tyres at the beginning might pay off even more since you can push them even harder at the end of a stint without wearing them as fast as with a higher fuel load i guess?
in theory that will be true, in the end its less forces at work. but then again the tire is already so slippery that you are more easily overdriving and wearing it more if you dont take A LOT of care. during practice we still see the same 0.03 or 0.04mm per lap for the entire race stint that we see for for shorter 5-6 lap runs. so i guess if theres an effect of that it will be in the 3rd or 4th digit
Hey Nils, thank you for the video. Will overturning the car also be a topic of the following video? My teammate and I are trying to fight that issue at the moment. Thanks!
Well explained Nils...decreasing velocity makes the trick
yes, but there's more :)
Very good video. Thanks Nils. straight to the point, easy to understand
Great explanation, also video like this explaining tyre wear would be incredibly helpful. Thanks Nils
what is the exact question about tire wear?

@@pashino. yes ok, that's planned!
really great explanation, more of this please!
Looking forward to the follow up video Nils
The perfect place to be a better driver. Thank you!

what do you mean exactly by "overturning"?
@@SimracingPopometer turning too much in corners and scrubbing the tyres that way, because the FFB doesnt really tell you that you are turning to much
Nerd! ;)
Great info, thanks for sharing
