As a young man whom worked for this great company in its final 5 years , I felt this was the beginning of the end of the United States of America in general. A country in decline in all aspects of a once proud nation !

I share the same impressions. Pan Am had its heydays in the Sixties, when America was doing alright (except Vietnam War). Of course It was a company for profits, but had intentions to build relationships. Today, we have megacarriers like United, American and Delta, but not truly global ir representative of America like Pan Am.

1991 into 92 was a turning point for a lot of things, and not for the good.

The loss of Pan Am is the biggest loss in aviation history. I hope that we one day will see the globe in the sky again.

0:56 of all the airlines on this list that were flying in 1991, now in 2024, only four remain: Delta, United, American and Southwest.

What a sad day in American history. Never fly delta for this reason.
