USB Port Installation

Quick tutorial on how to replace the 12 volt outlet on the dash with a twin fast charge USB outlet. The dash is the same for F-150 F-250 and F-350.

I have a 2017 f350 XL and I have the same black box but instead of a dc plug and ac plug I just have 2 dc plugs so does anyone know someone that converted the 2 dc plugs into an ac plug and a dc plug that could help me out?

There are many out there. Just search on ebay or Amazon for 12V USB port.

Looks like you should have fed the wires through the hole before you soldered them...😭

No. I plugged it in to test that it worked before putting it back together. The wires unplug from the adapter. Thanks for watching!

Did you have to unplug the negative battery terminal?

@BenCapili Not necessary if you have the ignition/ACC off.
