You make it look easy. My biggest concern is cutting the scrap piece so the seams line up as closely as possible. I'm going to solve that by using my square to cut both the carpet to repaired and the scrap piece. A sharp blade is critical. Thanks for your video!
Curious how long them edges last. My dog has been scratching my brand new carpet in a corner and bored a spot out. I have some spare carpet left from fitting so I gonna have to do this.
Damn I feel like Im years from cutting w out using a square or finding rows first. I had a carpet today where I couldn't find the directing the nap was going. The pen went all different directions depending on where in the room I tried the pen and paper way. I tried it on areas where there was no traffic and it wasn't matted down either. Drove me crazy. No matter which way I laid the new piece of carpet it looked like the pile matched. I would flip around and do it again to be certain and it looked just as good. I even stepped back 10 feet from every direction to see if I could find a difference and not really. Do they make carpet where it doesn't lay a certain way any more?? This is cheap poly blend rental carper too nigh noting fancy
I love your DIY demo; it is superbly educational and greatly witty.

what tape and from where?
Awesomeness
Instead of using the seam tape. Get liquid nail glue.
Thank for all your help.
