I've been meaning to ask. - The tool I don't remember the name of, but you are using at 10 seconds in, what is the name of this? And more importantly, how do you make sure the line you make with it, and with that, the cut you make later, is straight? Recreating a 92 degree angle cut for a replacement piece of carpet seems like a headache, so there must be some magic to it.

An awl and it separates the rows/columns already on the grid of the backing. The top cutter goes in easily and cuts a straight line effortlessly 😎

It’s a cleaning spray. I’m not sure what brand but I believe it’s just a generic carpet cleaner.
