Great song and one of the few VH tunes you can perform on an acoustic for your friends. It took me a long minute to work that lick and sing at the sametime, but it can be done and its cake once you get to the chorus. Instead of playing eddies part you can also play Sammys part which is straight stunned chords.
Bruh.. wtf.. why has it taken me THIS LONG to find some one that records the lesson from the players perspective.. you absolute legend!!!!! this makes it soooooo much easier to figure out finger placement!!!
Man! a very comprehensive tutorial on this tune. I also appreciate your expert notes on various aspects of the song and of performing it. Love the upgrades on that Squier!
Yessir.! great and FUN song to play. I personally CAN read tabs but its hard to remember the rhythm so a video for the solo section would be really appreciated. on behalf of those of us who learn by sight and ear more.
I love the fact that you play Squier. Looks and sound awesome. I own only one Mexican strat upgraded with bare knuckle SSS. But the rest of my 13 are Squier, epiphone, cort and part caster that I build myself, all of them upgraded and properly set up. That’s all you need and then played by someone like you. Excellent teaching. Very good job dude.
Nice job fella. You made what seemed to me way out of my ability something that I can actually learn at last. Concise, succinct, no frills or f'ing about. Got a sub outta me mate and I will share with my mates. Good luck with your channel geezer.
@@CenterStageGuitar Your so welcome. Some people may not realise the amount of time, care, patience, passion and love that must go into making these lessons.... I do brother.
Exactly, I've strummed here and there now and then, but when I get calluses, something comes along and I stop again. I have been looking for the right motivation.. This is it , explained to the point and in the way that is absorbed . So cool, thanks so much, learned more than enough in 30 minutes..
Simon, we do not have a video lesson on the solo but it is included in the tab we have at our tabs site at centerstagetabs.com. You can find it here: centerstagetabs.com/product/finish-what-ya-s…ed-solo-included/
Eddie played it with his fingers. Your version of the bridge is so wrong. He plays it with full chords that are muted, all bass notes are there. It's done with barr chords.
Its so hard to memorize every variation. And then the chicken pickin bridge comes lol tough 1. So anybody giving this guy or anyone who dares to learn it note for note a hard time.... beware it really is hard
Thanks for teaching. Luv that lick, vintage Eddy sound and wizardry.

Agree. Van halen lacking in songs that can be played for mates. Can’t stop loving you is another good one.

I really appreciate this video, and your teaching simplicity. Thank you!
This is great, so helpful to see from the top-down view. Thanks!
Is this a modded Squier Sonic Strar hardtail? Arctic white color?
Like who wouldn’t wanna see the solo lesson? Of course we wanna see it? What the heck
Oh boy 😳
What a clear explanation! 👍
Great job! Great instructional style! Truly enjoyed this! Subscribing!

yes please solo video would be cool so we can 'Finish what you started'... good job man!
I don't want the tabs, I just want to see you attempt the solo
Eddies stuff wasn’t structured. I was all improvised which is why it’s hard to nail him down.
What about wen she finished before you started 🤔
What tuning is this in?
Top 👍👍
yep very hard to do note for note good job on a hard tune.
Thanks for the comment
Eddie played it with his fingers. Your version of the bridge is so wrong. He plays it with full chords that are muted, all bass notes are there. It's done with barr chords.
There are bass notes in the main lick that Eddie played. The magic of this song is the tempo.
Very buzzy on my end...
Yeah, I hear it too
Its so hard to memorize every variation. And then the chicken pickin bridge comes lol tough 1.
So anybody giving this guy or anyone who dares to learn it note for note a hard time.... beware it really is hard
turn ur amp down dude
Wash your hair, dude.
It was just washed! and still wet. Ha ha!
Tune your guitar first man. You play ok but tuning is terrible
