I just started racing these cool 'touring cars'. I have the Tamiya Raikiri 4wd GT. The shocks are worthless, but we have to run stock, except for ball bearings & tires.
I'll also note. Granturismo, forward, asetto corsa, project cars...... All work well to "Sim test" settings before applying, and they represent quite realistically.
Would you recommend a stock s64 for asphalt running and potentially some VTA club racing? I almost bought a 4tek 2.0 roller (kinda glad I didn’t) to replace my Frankensteined nitro RS4 which I brushless converted… Would one of these hold up to 3s? Im seeing it has plastic gears in the diff…. But it has cvd’s (?). How is parts support in the US?
on the race cars we run a spool on the front and then you can add traction to the rear by using lighter diff oil , that will be in my advance tuning vid coming soon . as well as using the setup station to set steering end points and tuning with roll center

I almost picked up one . But my Father in law let me use his tc7 for the racing .
can it run a 24t pinion with a 5400kv hobby wing max 10 stock spur gear, would you recomend that for speed run?

yes absolutely, they are a great car for racing asphalt, just tune the springs and shocks for the track , and use the right tires for the weather.
Do you use Loctite on motor mounts and pinion gear?
I don't . and it hasn't been a problem for me . but I dont think it would hurt anything as long as you have a good set of hex drivers .
I am building my car. Why is the front axle locked?
you get a lot more traction . it works pretty well
What tool do you use to install and remove ball cap and ball end? These are so difficult to deal with.
I like to use a pair of shock pliers and the kit comes with a cool tool to twist the rod ends .

Soften shocks, adjust camber, UNLOCK differentials.

Is this kit a clone of another kit?
To be totally honest I don't know if this car share platforms with any other brands .
