Whoever thought of the idea to have Godzilla’s Spikes rise up when he’s charging up needs a raise🔥
Kind of like an atomic bomb being ready to be launched
Geniunely one of the best films of the year, right next to Oppenheimer.
I never knew you were a Godzilla fan! Nice
Does this mean you might start doing monsterverse shorts👉👈😁.
You ain't gonna talk about gta 6!?
This is easily Godzilla at his best since 1954. This brought Godzilla back to his roots and they nailed it. Personally 10/10 we need more Godzilla films like this.
It’s apparently a start to a new universe so we could def see him again and maybe more monsters🎉
@@DoomBlazerThe only downside I see about this is that usually for Godzilla they always start strong and usually it just falls off after the first film. Some eras were consistent so I'm hoping this one stays consistent
@@DoomBlazerI wonder what kong would be like in this universe
@@EarlierfourSorry to break it you but there will be no Kong in this universe remember this isn’t the monsterverse this is Toho owned Godzilla which means no Kong in any of these films.
@@CarlosRivera-es5vh damn it would be awesome if we got a kong like this godzilla
When toho said they wanted Godzilla to represent an atomic bomb they were not kidding especially with how this one charges his atomic breath
I mean it’s just an updated better version of the best Godzilla film of course it’s going to be great a film and have all the messages and stuff
@@scottcockton
As in an update version of the *original 1954* ?
@@franciscs1604 yes

👍
God I loved this movie. First Godzilla film to make me cry. The story and human characters were good for once, and Godzilla was actually scary! This is the first film where I was rooting for the humans. They were so good at emotionally attaching you to them the final battle was emotional!
@Kroenen_Editz yeah! I saw that thing on her neck! I covered my mouth in shock when she “died”
Like bro at the final scene if i was alone i wouldve freaking cried from how much emotion i had like jesus they didnt have to go that hard
I was so close to crying too bro such a good film
Not a villain. Just a force of "nature" animalistic instincts
Which is something I find more terrifying in my opinion💀
@@year1spiderman979 exactly! It's quite a litteral monster. Not a metaphorical monster
Finally, someone actually called Goji that.
@@OfficialTomCruise123still the monster destroy things cuz humanity make him like that...
My all time favorite godzilla movie for sure. I cared about the characters and godzilla is truly scary in this one.
The Japanese going through it right now💀
This is the Oppenheimer sequel fr 💀💀
@@You-vv1xvThe lizard mutations are wild!!!

When the motherland of Godzilla make movie about true Godzilla:
This Film really takes you back to the scary days of Godzilla when he was just a pure beast and destruction. Great films!
I’m hoping the Heisei writers come back for future projects. Also give Rodman his own solo film. He only had one and deserves more.
Rodman? Do you mean rodan
@@strwrbttlfrnt yeah. My bad.
I was gonna make a Godman/Greenman/Zone Fighter comment
But I think even Toho's forgotten them
@@gavichealsomething2169 You have my respect for knowing about Zone Fighter as well
@@ScarletStudios001 mostly the name
Haven't watched WikiZilla's Kaiju Profile on him in months
I did not expect you to review this movie... Glad you liked it!
Thats really good cgi better then most movie these days this is what Hollywood should care about the cgi
The Creator also looks good for a movie that costed only $80 mil. Problem was how formulaic the story was
The VFX where so good because the director lead the VFX team.
This is like a sequel to Oppenheimer
Never knew you were Gojira fan but i can't blame you he is goated
Hm
They actually accomplished what the original movie accomplished. Whenever Godzilla shows up on screen it’s supposed to be terrifying which is exactly what they did
and that all cgi is made by 1 man.
WHAT
You're capp'n
It’s made by a team at toho, not one person
*EXCUSE ME?!?!?!*
@@handledavailable yes, a team like supervisor and the other, but someone who make all the cgi just one person.
You should totally watch The Creator. It is a sci fi movie that had me thinking about it even after watching it.
I’ve seen it
Imo its not as good as Gareth’s other films like Rogue One or Godzilla but it’s still solid
@@DoomBlazerwow ok
It looks good but that movie's story just ain't that good.
@@DoomBlazeryou know as much as i agree with your opinion you need to respect hollywoods versions of godzilla becaus lets be honest here godzilla wouldnt have been relevant in todays age without that godzilla in particular you really need to have more respect
It was flat. Didn't really care for the characters too much.
First time I've seen Doomblazer being a Godzilla fan for the first time pretty cool man.👍
Same
The hype moments, the tense moments, and the especially godzilla moments are peak. Must watch in theater's experience tbh
15 million is crazy I’ve been trained by Hollywood to expect my monster epics to be over 100 million or more 15 million is incredible for the way it looks well done 👍
Yeah but to be fair, in Japan workers are sometimes worked heavily, and I don't think for expensive pay. At least, that's how it works with animators by some anime companies.
It's lower than 15 milion usd $.
You should definitely continue reviewing more non-superhero content. I would love to hear your review on killers of the flower moon.
Godzilla‘s Minus One design is absolutely amazing! He‘s not only back to his OG size but also looks like a fusion of Showa, Heisei and Legendary Godzilla with the roughness of the GxMG Goji! MonsterVerse is my favorite Big G design because it looks the most realistic but this one is one of the best ever for sure
The Best Godzilla Movie Ever!!! The whole cast and storyline was Perfect!!!
I really need to see *”Godzilla: -1.0”* …!
Hell!
Maybe after watching this movie, I honestly want to see the *original* back in *1954* !
We need more about the kaijus and godzilla videos
I’m watching Monarch so far i like it
@@DoomBlazerdamn
@@DoomBlazeryou go my man
@@DoomBlazerHey, if you're reading this, you can watch tokusatsu, the shows don't have the best CGI quality, but, they give better stories (most of them) than most recent Marvel and DC shows and movies, they lost the true meaning of what a hero means, tokusatsu shows that
Is this Sid’s first time reviewing a foreign movie? Apparently he should review more foreign movies in the future!
Wow i cant remember the last time ive watched a godzilla movie
I’m probably going to watch this when it comes out on digital since I haven’t really seen the other flims
You don’t need to see any other film just watch it in theaters
@@DoomBlazer I also don’t have time
Theater!
@@DoomBlazeractually I did I saw it with some friends earlier this month
Godzilla Minus One is one of the best Godzilla films ever made, and is the only film that is a spiritual successor to the first in everyway that I feel truly earns that title. It is such a great film that carries the weight and terrifying power of Godzilla and what he represents despite this iteration of him being far from his strongest.
This film by far has the BEST human characters/characterization if any Godzilla film no competition. It tackles the themes of WWII, the impact it had on soldiers and civilians, from PTSD to Survivors Guilt, to the Dread of experiences those hardships all over again, all respectfully and masterfully intertwined around Godzilla and his relarionship with the Main character snd the people of Japan. It handles the mindsets and reactions the Japanese people had after WWII, but also shows that hope for a better future and how after such a grueling experience in War the people truly strive to fight for a better future
The themes of self worth and honor in this film is so unique and so relatable you can feel how mentally destroyed Koichi is in the flim and it makes him feel like a real person dealing with so much and it doesnt help his situation when everyone tells him his life is worthless
Godzilla minus one is g tier for staying true to the original 54 films roots so toho should pat themselves on the back
This is not only one of the best Godzilla movies of all time. This is one of the best movies of all time. Literally just pure cinema. Yall need to watch this masterpiece.
Yay doomblazers making content on my favorite franchise!
This was one of the best movies I’ve seen this year everything in this movie is perfect from the score, characters, plot, and Godzilla is a freaking beast in this movie
Oppenheimer sequel based on the timeline
Long live the king
I love how they made him what he originally was a force of destruction/nature because originally he was based on the atomic bombs and I like how he a destructive force like that again
Honestly, this is my movie of the year
Im planning on seeing it later today with one of my friends and we both know this is going to be amazing
My favourite is Final Wars. That might change when I go see this during the winter holidays.
I was watching it last night, brought back a lot of good memories, bro...
I'm going to see this later today for my friends birthday, and now I'm super exited
The two sides of Toho Godzilla:
-A goofy boi that dances and saves the world
-This
This film is a worthy successor to both the original film, and Shin Godzilla.
Saw it today in IMAX! Totally awesome!
Finally Godzilla is a villain again
I do kinda like monsterverse’s anti hero Godzilla but I also like Godzilla as a villain too
I didn't expect you to review this movie. But I did see your Letterboxd review.
Who knew that remaking the first movie would do great on a serious note though I’m hyped the first Godzilla movie made me cry I hoping this one dose
Boy am i glad to be alive 😊
Fun fact: Godzilla minus one had a budget less than 15 million dollars and the budget is still unconfirmed
It's clear that a remake or retake or a copy recreation of anything ( Hollywood version) will never replace or come close original of anything ( Japanese og version )
Nothing like a good kaiju disaster movie
I want to go watch this, not only because I am super hyped but I am making a video at the end of the year called “Every 2023 Villain I Saw Ranked”
@Kroenen_Editz Alright, I’ll see for myself in a few days (probably)
Despite the small team and a budget that would make American studios shit their pants of how low it is, "-1.0" is the perfect example of maximum effort with minimum resources (inserted Deadpool joke).
Even with that, it won an Oscar for "Best Visual Effects". And now we can finally label Godzilla as an Oscar-winning franchise.
To be honest, I thought it was a shin Godzilla2 at first but I’m not disappointed. This actually looks like an amazing movie, and I will definitely go check it out. I love it when Godzilla is more of a villain instead of a hero.
I loved how brutal godzilla was, in this movie he was not ignoring humans and just trying to take out another titan, he was actually brutally taking out anything in his path. And the story was not of some crazy sci-fi team that had decades to plan this, all their methods of trying to take godzilla down actually seemed like sort of rushed ideas and you saw how desperate they were and how they many times felt like there was no chancr, but then overcame that fear and did something to their best extent, without stupid plot armour for all the main characters (Even if some will of course have plot armour)
I watched Shin Godzilla a few years ago and it was like a modern Evangelion-inspired version of Godzilla and it was one of my favorite Kaiju movies ever. Still waiting for this movie to come out in Chile 🇨🇱 , it looks very promising.
The wait is worth it, I loved shin Godzilla and love this one as well, so you should too!
excited but can’t watch it
because no announcement for a release here at PH
A classic, actually shed a tear at the ending. Best Godzilla movie by a country mile.
Everything you just said is true.
While America is continuing the franchise.
Toho is still his maker. They know what's best. We seriously needed an Og Godzilla Film again since Shin Godzilla.
I do not say this lightly. But it's better than that movie in my opinion just from first watch.
If you like Godzilla in his old routes as a careless demon. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS.
you know as much as i agree with your opinion you need to respect hollywoods versions of godzilla becaus lets be honest here godzilla wouldnt have been relevant in todays age without that godzilla in particular you really need to have more respect
@@anastasyacortuna8551 absolutely. This franchise can't lay dormant for too long. The only 2 movies that I despise are son of Godzilla and All monsters attack(stock footage mayhem)
Yo whoever made the new flash cgi should be takin notes
Dude u ain't wrong I actually cried for the main character
Maybe I'll give this a try I've seen all the monster verse movies except Godzilla king of monsters. So I might watch this when it comes out on streaming services.
Yessssssssssssss Goji gets love on this channel now! Great review, I haven’t seen it yet but I will on Sunday
Hol up you watch Godizlla movies and are a Godzilla fan? AWSOME
i love this movie, godzilla feels like an animal! the characters are all people you can actually care about, unlike the american movies, and i think that this is by far the best godzilla movie i have ever seen
The movie actually had less than 15m the director himself said “I wish we had that much”
Goddam i gotta watch this
Spot on take!
Godzilla 2014 will always be my favorite movie of all time but this movie was absolutely perfect, felt terrified in the theaters
Hopefully with the praise that Godzilla Minus One is getting, maybe the Tokusatsu genre might succeed well in the U.S.
Godzilla was supposed to show how the nukes were for Japan into a living organism Hollywood sees him as a funny character this film was a 10/10 and brought back its original concept
Tell me you don’t know the history of the Godzilla movies after 1954 without telling me you don’t know the history of the Godzilla movies after 1954
@@ricardo3011 I know that with the Toho films following 1954 he’s nicer to humans but legendary has never had him as a full bad guy he’s always somehow on the humans side but with toho every now and then he still can be a evil character
@@gojiking7the vast majority of Godzilla films has him as an anti hero or just plain hero. He’s only been an antagonist in about 7 movies (1954, Shin, GMK, Godzilla vs mothra, 1998, 1984, and minus one).
@@gojiking7also, legendary Godzilla is an anti hero, he’s never been on the humans side. Have you watched GVK?
Jesus Christ it Toho they make so many bangers of movies they alsoly have more experience with most movies because they have been doing this for almost 80 Years 79 currently but 80 next year
I can’t wait to see this!
Going to see this tonite!
It's great have fun!
i would watch but idk if my parents will want to see a movie with no english
I didn't even know about this that's nice
It’s so good. The plane seen at the end oh my gosh
As a Godzilla fan since I was 5 , this is my favorite Godzilla movie , shame more people won’t see it
The is return to Godzilla's original role as a horrible mutation that threatened mankind's existence.
When it comes to sheer hostility and viscous demeanor, Toho's Godzilla makes Hollywood's Godzilla look like Barney.
Saw it in the screen x format- so good. If you have access to one it’s definitely worth it.
I think these movies are great and the newer ones are great compliments cause it shows Godzilla has become more mature or evolved over time
This is for sure is the best emotional story with humans other movies can’t compete
I seen it at the Imax fan event n have been thinking about it nonstop, going to watch it again tonight😂
Me personally I like the old films and after hearing that 1954 roar brings back so many memories
God this is just
This is the exact reason I love Godzilla Ultima.
Have you seen the 2016 Shin Godzilla?
That’s a great Godzilla film as well bring it back it its roots.
If u could, pls rank the year’s movies and shows but not just mcu and comic books stuff but EVERYTHING in general. that would make a great vid
keep up the great work doomblazer 👍
Godzilla A+
I also like how he was a bit more static in his movement. Makes him more distinguished from other monsters in fiction and reminds me a bit of the old films, not that I’ve seen them unfortunately. Kinda makes me interested in seeing a modern take on Godzilla being a guy in a suit
The thing is the budget was less than $15 million dollars, and when they were asked (the producers or director), they said how they wish it was that much
A review I actually agree with you😂. Best film of the Year. Godzilla is back!
If there is a sequel they better not ruin it. Especially with me already having high hopes for a Biollante vs Godzilla reboot.
Agreed! I saw it twice and kind of want to see it again.
I can’t wait I’m a huge Godzilla fan and me and my friends are going to see it later today
I just watched this film the other day it’s one of best films I’ve ever seen I didn’t realize it was completely in Japanese still amazing💀
There is no show here in Delhi 😭
Yea😭
Fantastic movie, honestly, I saw the trailer and it seemed very interesting because it felt like a more realistic story. The whole 2 hours had me at the edge of my seat with the crazy stakes. Warner Bros need to start taking notes because this is what Godzilla is meant to be. Definitely check it out!
I'm not a fan of Godzilla movies, but I fell in love with this movie. I never thought I would cry at a Godzilla movie Lol
Good story telling with human soul.😊😊
godzilla minus made me cry, i havent cried that hard since titanic. it was such a good movie.
