His father was dean of the Medical school at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the oldest public university in the states. My folks knew his folks. Small world. The first James Taylor album I bought was Gorilla (1975), and it was fantastic! Then in '76 he followed that up with In the Pocket. The production, the composition, everything about it made it a perfect match with Gorilla. They could have easily been sold together as a double record set. And so much diversity! Love songs, fun songs, sad songs, satires, and blues. He's got a lot of albums with a lot of great songs. But these two albums are my favorites. You'll cry at half of them and laugh at half and love them all. Love you guys! Carry on!😮
