ITV - A look at Pentecostalism.
Pentecostalism is a Protestant Christian movement that emphasizes direct personal experience of God through baptism with the Holy Spirit. It is not an extremely old church - it emerged from late 19th-century radical evangelical revival movements. Nick Beggs gives short interview about Pentecostalist Church in Kensington Temple in London. The name comes from the Christian High Holy Day of Pentecost, celebrated on the 50th day from Easter Sunday. The pigeon symbolises the Holy Spirit.
Nick Beggs childhood and early life was definitely not an easy one, the faith in God helped him through that "rough journey". It also helped him to stay focused during the height of KajaGooGoo's popularity. The years, however, proved wearing and he fell out with religion - essentially, he says, “because the gods remain mute”.

He’s just Nick finding his way. He has an amazing family. 2 talented daughters and he’s touring with Howard Jones. He’s enjoying life. Go and preach somewhere else !
I love this guy.
How sweet...almost 40 years ago and searching. Wonder what he thinks of all this now? ❤☮🌎
He’s an atheist. Hence ‘The Mute Gods’.
@@SpookyElectric319 If you've heard him use the term atheist, I guess you're correct. However, I've only read/heard interviews saying he's not where he was as far as all this goes, though he's kept some of the beliefs he had (and didn't elaborate on what they were). To me that sounds more agnostic than atheist, but maybe I've missed other interviews where it was more clearly stated.
@@misterskull I have, he confirmed he rejected all religion and is now atheist. Hence the band name ‘The Mute Gods’, as he claimed what’s ‘the point of prayer if the gods are always mute?’
@@SpookyElectric319I am not disputing you but where does he say this? Am interested in his story. Understand that Stuart Croxford Neale has a faith
I love this - the fact that he has no qualms about coming right out to admit his beliefs & faith in Jesus publicly. I feel also, that it's exactly why the music biz targeted Nick. He used to be very composed, soft-spoken, polite, & calm in interviews, but his demeanor changed after 1984 - & that's when, I believe, he was axed, cloned, & reinhabitted by demons. Now he acts irratic, & overtly sexual, & started dressing in skirts/clothing with satanic symbols on them. So sad... cuz he used to be one of my favorites 😔
What are you people on?
What an absolute pile of nonsense and a throughly stupid comment. Stop huffing the glue!
Those are not ‘skirts’, he wears the kilt because he’s of Irish decent. Those aren’t ‘Satanic symbols’ it’s Iona and Celtic art! Most of which he designs, as he’s a talented freelance artist. And he’s still intelligent, polite, sweet, calm, talented, loves animals and is passionate about animal welfare, and he’s a hell of a lot of fun. Please get the facts right before making silly comments.
you can't be serious xddd
Nick was a devout Christian until he was in his 40s...
If he wears skirts, isn't it because he takes non heterosexuals' stands ?
Nick has said in an interview that his heavily religious views during this time period deeply affected his relationship with his loved ones, and may have even affected the band. I can help but wonder if Limahl's Buddhist views as well as his homosexuality were additional reasons for booting him from the band.
I think it was just musical differences why Limahl was fired from Kajagoogoo.
Which interview?
@@PlasticGirl65where does he say he is a Buddhist?
@@dominich2263 No idea, I never said he was.
@@PlasticGirl65 forgive me, my bad. I cannot navigate on this thread!
Very interesting!Thanks for this! Sonique

True 👍 ✔ 👌🏻 😃
It’s a little bit too over the top
if you like.
Those who do believe might not see him or her in Heaven, there might not be any Heaven at all. Those who do not believe might see him or her in Heaven if there is one. As a born Catholic, and a born asexual, I've completely stopped going to church a few years ago because non heterosexuals are still having trouble to get married. Non heterosexuals do not chose to be non heterosexuals and heterosexuals do not chose to be heterosexuals neither. I've adored Nick ever since Art Nouveau, met him once (so far) 2 months ago (fiinally met him) in Scotland (I'm in Québec, Canada)., I went there to meet him, and I will go back to the UK every year if I can to meet with him too. He knows this. No one touches Nick. PERIOD. But we get the message about his change in beliefs, he does not have to do tons of videos about it. We know... And I repeat, no one touches Nick or you will have me in your path if you do - that is how much I have always adores the human being that he is. He cares about people, and is alwaysavailable and willing to meet people to.
Fortunately Nick came to his senses and left this bat-shit craziness nehind.
Why craziness? Are spiritual believes craziness? He felt the presence of Christ - that is rather a blessing, not craziness. Now he lost it. Is that something good? Not up to me to say. He can say more probably, or already said - via his music.
Well, sorry, but this is a cult with 'another Jesus' and 'another gospel' the Bible warns about. Acts 16:30-31, 1 Cor. 15:1-4 KJV.
I've always loved Nick Beggs and I'm saddened he's meanwhile come to the conclusion that there is no God.
I hope he researches the Scriptures again. There's a reason why God doesn't intervene in this world right now, Nick.
He never said that there was no God. He says that he does not believe, but he does not say that he denies his (or her) existence......To me, there is a difference.
Because he does not exist ! Fgs!
