I have a 7800XT + i5 13600k build I just made last week, so far an amazing combo and I know I'm missing out on SAM by not pairing with an AMD CPU but the extra cores on the intel chip really help with streaming and editing so I just wanted the best of both worlds. The whole build cost me ≈ $1100, but I already had a couple SSD's left over from my previous build so it would have costed around $1200, but still imo really good bang for buck for this combo in terms of a mid/high end PC!
Important to discuss pertaining to the AMD 7000 CPU lineup: 6000MT/S CAS 30 is the maximum speed for these CPUs. I'm not sure if the 7800x3d cares as much but for anything else, anything faster than 6000 MT/S will actually hinder performance. It's probably good to be safe with the x3d as well since anything faster probably won't improve any performance either.
I'm liking the 7800XT (have in my spare rig) and 7900XTX for 1440P/+. 3060 12gb still is aging fine. Could see Radeon cards on the lower-budget end though also. It's weird though when 12th gen was on sale earlier this year, it seemed a little bit more promising. 7600 will have the Avatar bundle too, I think the 7800XT is better if people can stretch. 6700/6750XT also are good deals in the 300-330 range. I think 12700KF and 12900KF are enough for me personally but 7600/7700X are also good choices just Intel is terminal but offers more cores for cheap with the current sales, so it's interesting. 7800X3D have also went down to normal prices again, they had climbed up for the bundle earlier. I could see building a 7500F (I probably don't need more pcs) but that's a good entry level deal.

Believe you will notice the performance uplift and then a visual uplift changing out the 1060. I remember doing upgrades, 1060 was okay for it's day. Having more vram will be nice, in case you need it. 1060 3gb was a worse offender than the 6gb variant. Nice plan.
YO! Just wanna say thanks, I followed your advise from your previous video and went with 7500F paired with 7800XT. Due to the availability and price hike here in my country the build went for 1300 in USD (converted from Philippine Peso) instead of a 1100 build but nevertheless it was def an upgrade from my i5 9400F w/ 2060 Super. I can run a maxed out Warzone 2.0 in stable 3 digit FPS and if I lower it down to my settings from my prev build I can easily get 200 FPS in 1080p gaming.
Y'all are crazy! Going from 60fps to 120fps is very noticeable and 120fps to 240fps isn't as big of a difference as 60 to 120 but it's noticeably smoother. The 7800xt is not overkill if what you're looking for is that 200+fps experience.
On the surface I thought that too, but with the rumored 5500X3D and 5700X3D releasing soon I'm thinking otherwise. If both sockets are "dead", then AM4 will offer much more bang for the buck and better CPUs to upgrade to (as even the 5800X3D can hang with i9s in some instances).
I agree with you I was just saying if you are buying into am4, you might look at lga 1700. May be a good halfway mark. I’m actually on am4 but am going to lga 1700. Had plenty of ddr4 ram and didn’t want to go for the full platform costs of am5. So I’m ending up reusing some of my am4 stuff and building a new system for my parents for Christmas this year. Then I’m going to a 12600kf I picked up for $140. Looking at z690 boards with ddr4 support. Then i should have a small uptick over my ryzen 5500, but have overclocking support if I want. From benchmarks I saw the 12600k isn’t far behind the 7600x single core, but perhaps slightly ahead multi core. That’s just my reasoning though. But am4 is a great platform. If I were on a tighter budget, b450 board and ryzen 3600 or 5500 and a cheap 32gb kit of ram.
@@Averagedude-mi3fl I agree. LGA 1700 i5 CPUs are good all arounders that game well and do well for content creation activities. They are easy to cool compared to the i7s and i9s. Right now 12th gen is basically on fire sale and gets pretty interesting with deep discounts on z690 boards as well as used boards if people are ok with buying used. Just yesterday I put together a 12600k ($152 new) 32G ddr4 , I already had, on the MSI z690 A pro WIFI d4 I picked up open box for $65 at Microcenter. I agree that even though LGA 1700 is EOL so is AM4. The 5800x3d is still near or over $300 USD for the CPU alone and unless one already has an AM4 board spending that much on the cpu you may as well go AM5 if you need a board anyway. Also to buy a Ryzen 5500 or 3600 now and upgrade to a x3d chip in the future is going over $400 deep in CPUs over time. Yes you can sell the old one and so on but its pretty close or possibly cheaper to just getting a 12th gen i7 for $200 or even a 13600k and running it into the ground. People often overlook that these CPUS will be paired with 2-$500 GPUs at most (usually) and either platform can game at that level just fine. Either way lots of good buys right now and its really hard to go wrong. Get the PC you like for the money you want to spend! The best part about DIY PC building.

Unfortunately RX 6800 is priced around 50% more than the RX 7800 XT here in India for some reason. Weird. And, RX 7700 XT is only 10% cheaper. So, I think pairing up the 7600/7500f with RX 7800XT is the reasonable choice, at least here in India.
Im currently rocking a 3700x and 2060 super upgraded from 3500x, i know not much of an upgrade but i m just gonna use it temporarily before i move out of the country. Im so happy with the performance so far l.
I just grabbed the 7700x combo for $369 with motherboard and ram and paired it with a Radeon 6950 xt I picked up for $550. Should hold me over for another year or two.

It's getting really close to black friday and cyber Monday. The items in my amazon cart are on sale, is it worth to wait the extra days and hope for a "bigger" discount?
7800x3D and a 4090 with a X670E motherboard and 32 GB 6000 CL 30 ram is what I built about 3 weeks ago, I have the best possible components IMO for gaming. 7800x3D is the best gaming CPU performance wise and is $300 cheaper than 14900k.

It's really funny cause the RTX 4070 ti is like $20 more than the RX 7900 XTX here (the cheapest one i could find) like a msi one or something would be like $200 more which is crazy and the 7900 XTX is like almost 1400$ and the ram prices are like more than double 😂😭
After watching your video recently, I've upgrade my rig from Ryzen 3 1300X into Ryzen 5 5600. Same goes to gpu from team green GTX 1050Ti into team red AMD TUF RX 6800. I'm extremely happy right now. Next time I'll upgrade my current 1080p monitor to 1440p 240hz monitor. 😊😊😊
I'm building my first pc and using 13600k cpu and wanted to use 7900 xt for gpu. But people are telling me sometimes amd GPUs software wont work well with intel cpus?
I have 7800x3d because last build was 2016 with a 6700k, 32gb ram and a 980ti, then a 2080 super, and now I just got off ebay a rtx 3080 zotac amp extreme for 375$ For 375, can't beat it. I will be eyeballing the 4080 later down the road, but 144 fps at 1080 is crazy. Even 1440 is super high too. Plus the 7800x3d is a workhorse on 3d modeling, video editing. I'd stay away from the 7900 because its just great for gaming considering the price. The 7700x is a great deal too, but since you are looking do the 7800x3d and be done!
@@HotFreshBox I used to think that, but starting to creep into 18-22GB. Tarkov and other games just eat it. Then you get into photoshop, video editing and there isn’t enough ram! Crazy times.
Even better for 1440p gaming, rx 6800xt and a ryzen 7 7800x3d. If you buy these used on ebay or something it will cost you around $500. Might be cheaper if you look around hard enough. This is what I'm going to be doing to upgrade my pc.
I am torn between a 7900 xtx and a 4080 for my new pc and where I live the 4080 cost 100 more.Which of the 2 would you suggest ?? I will primarily game at 1440p 165hz and possibly 4k in a few months PS. I already have the 7800x3D if it helps
I'd look at the benchmarks first, but if both perform pretty much the same then just go for the cheaper option. Plus I think theres some promo with the amd products
heya its me again, was wondering what ur thoughts were on the r9 7900x/7900 (they r the same price) is as its literally only 10 bucks extra compared to the 7800x3d where i live. I would be doing mostly gaming with maybe some streaming and video editing
Here in Europe, Ireland specifically myself, i just got a "used/damaged" 6800xt off Amazon warehouse. 7700xts are plentiful(on EU/uk websites), there's some 6800s, 7800xts plentiful too there's also some 6800xts. There's a far greater than 50 euro difference between the 7700xt and 7800xt from what i could see. The NVIDIA 4070 is more expensive than the 7800xt
@@ScatterVolt no probs, it's all a bit mess here in europe, i pay 4% more sales tax than germans and 2% more than spanish. Governments want to standardize corporation tax but not taxes for us little people
Unfortunately for the Moroccan community, we incur more than $300 in shipping and fees. Therefore, purchasing those high-end GPUs becomes more expensive for us. I hope Amazon does something about this; we really want to buy from the platform, but the shipping and import fees are too high. Therefore, we stick with an older generation of GPUs.
You don't need Cuda for 3d modeling. Analyzes are done in another program, in Ansys. The only software that specifically requires Nvidia is Solidworks, and you can't use a consumer gpu, but a Quadro - they don't let you install a license on a computer that doesn't have a quadro gpu. The pirated version of the software works with gaming Nvidia gpu's but doesn't render models well on AMD gpu's
@@ScatterVolt In some programs like Blender yes, but mostly it doesn't matter too much if it's Nvidia or AMD, what matters is raw performance. Geforce is for gamers, Quadro is for professional work. There's also AMD WX, their business variant of gpu, but it's not very popular.
Paired up 5600 with 6700 non xt variant which I grabbed for a steal. Such an underrated card which goes under radar and most power efficient. Your thoughts on 6700??
future proof intel motherboard you get two generations of intel CPU at best over many generations of AMD CPU on same socket just look at the AM4 socket and new AMD socket any thing like this AMD a better bet
Actually you changed my mind. I was gonna go with a rtx 4080, but now that I think about it I don’t even care about ray tracing. 7900xtx and 7800x3d it is
Plannin on pairing a 12100f with a 7600. I run 1440p but mostly games 10 years or older. The i3 is gonna bottleneck the 7600 but i feel for the price it is worth and i can always upgrade cpu later. Thoughts?
I just opted for a budgetish rig. i3 13100 with Asus B760 Plus Prime mobo. G skill CL16 3200mhz ram, 1TB Hikvision SSD and I'm getting a TUF RTX 3060ti which is an upgrade from my Palit RTX 2060super. Getting the 3060ti for 220 bucks in US dollar
After a lot of research and comparison the X670 motherboards don’t worth it at all. Especially the not extreme versions , some B650 are even better than X670 mb (especially the extreme versions). AMD even confirmed this. For gaming at least it changes nothing.
@@ScatterVolt really? Interesting. I'm new to pc building and building my first one. I heard the Ryzen 5 5600x is a good match up with the 1080ti GPU? Would the 7800 x3D be too much and not needed or better ?

On the surface I thought that too, but with the rumored 5500X3D and 5700X3D releasing soon I'm thinking otherwise. If both sockets are "dead", then AM4 will offer much more bang for the buck and better CPUs to upgrade to (as even the 5800X3D can hang with i9s in some instances).
Intel 13/14th gen is at the end of its life cycle as well.
Im going 7800x3d and 7900xt. Will there be any bottle necking issues with this setup ? Or will I be able to edit content with no issues?
its perfect
Good video/recommendations.
Thank you!
My misses has my x370 now as im on x570.. But her mobo has seen the death of so many intel sockets in its lifespan
Hahaha
In better news though, LGA 1851 looks to support more than three generations of CPUs which is excellent.
yayy, thanks for listening to me, Hail ScatterVolt!!!
Is this a good CPU & GPU Combo?
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7-7840HS Octa-Core
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
Bro posted this at the best time
Let's make sure this video blows up so everyone else sees it!
@@ScatterVoltwhat do you think about a 7800x3d with 6950xt
“Before I show you, you have to like the video” *proceeds to wait*
Aight respect. I can watch this guy
(In all seriousness I’m going to watch more of this stuff from him! New fan!)
Hehe
Have you done a video for CPU and GPU combos for content creators and renders and designers?
Unfortunately RX 6800 is priced around 50% more than the RX 7800 XT here in India for some reason. Weird. And, RX 7700 XT is only 10% cheaper.
So, I think pairing up the 7600/7500f with RX 7800XT is the reasonable choice, at least here in India.
That's a bummer. I asked a friend from India that same question and I got a different response.
when are we gonna get a pc build vid ?
Soon
@@ScatterVolt lol ok thanks king
A minute or two into the video and I already liked the video😂😅😅
Thank you :)
rocking the 5600 and the 6700 non xt
I got the 7900xtx 7800x3D, thanks for the recommendation
Im currently rocking a 3700x and 2060 super upgraded from 3500x, i know not much of an upgrade but i m just gonna use it temporarily before i move out of the country. Im so happy with the performance so far l.
I just grabbed the 7700x combo for $369 with motherboard and ram and paired it with a Radeon 6950 xt I picked up for $550. Should hold me over for another year or two.
More like four years minimum imo
Where did you get it from?
Microcenter both for bundle and the rtx 6950 xt.
Im glad I have my all white build with a 4090/ 7800x3d/ 64 gigs of ddr5.
I have a 5700X with a 6700XT and it's sweet at the moment. Will go to a 6800XT when the prices are low.
Just go all in on a 6950XT this week man lol
Babe Wake up New Scattervolt video.
Hi
Hey I was wondering if you could ever start making Shorts as those gain many views and are very easy to do. They could be like giving updates about certain items and like Even more combos.
I need a shorts editor, and I haven’t had time to scout out a quality editor yet
love your videos
It's getting really close to black friday and cyber Monday. The items in my amazon cart are on sale, is it worth to wait the extra days and hope for a "bigger" discount?
I'm not an amazon pricing specialist so I don't know
7800x3D and a 4090 with a X670E motherboard and 32 GB 6000 CL 30 ram is what I built about 3 weeks ago, I have the best possible components IMO for gaming. 7800x3D is the best gaming CPU performance wise and is $300 cheaper than 14900k.
I hope you're pushing that onto a 4K monitor haha
@@ScatterVolt waiting for Asus ROG to drop there 4K 240hz monitor for now, haven’t even OC’d anything besides the Ram as of yet. All I did was enable PBO In the bios for the cpu the PC is a beast. Got around 295 at 1440P on new cod for benchmark with nothing OC’d😂
You're off the hook.. for now
@@ScatterVolt any cases anyone didn’t know 4090 prices are going through the roof for some reason… as low as 2,300 I’ve seen lucky I got mine at 1750 the last batch before they went up $500 LOL
@@jakek3653 why wait for 4k 240 hz monitor? i mean if you got 295 fps in 1440, do you think your gpu then will get you 240 hz in 4k? i mean it depends on the game but come on.
It's really funny cause the RTX 4070 ti is like $20 more than the RX 7900 XTX here (the cheapest one i could find) like a msi one or something would be like $200 more which is crazy and the 7900 XTX is like almost 1400$ and the ram prices are like more than double 😂😭
i kinda regret buying my laptop knowing i could have gotten so much better for the same price, paid $650 for a 6500M, and it is so bad 😂
You played the game right! Congrats on your upgrades!
Was just looking at your last one
Awesome
Dawn, if you did ryzen 7 7700 with rx 6800 combo then your the best tech youtuber i like.
Rest in piece Rx 580, you will be missed 😔
RIP
So if I buy a 6700 xt and r7 5700x they will work well together for an average budget gamer?
Your voice is so calming
Excellent
32 gb ram in 2016 holy moly. Still nowadays it isn't needed
I will primarily game at 1440p 165hz and possibly 4k in a few months
PS.
Bro I need a friendly budget pc build combo for an all in one gaming streaming pc
Decent price nun too ridiculous
i love your videos
Thank you!
7700xt and 12600kf is goated
I currently use an i5 9400f with sn 1060 3gb and I want to upgrade to an i5 13400kf with an rtx 4060 for 1080p gaming. No tripple a games.
The Ryzen 5 7500F is also available in Germany
Noted.
Great video 👍 Do you think the 7900XT/XTX will go down in price once the RTX Super series is out?
I'm not a time traveler so I don't know.
Going all AMD Seems like the best choice right now unless you can find some crazy deal on an NVIDIA Gpus like the 4070 for around 500
Good job scraping a point together over the weekend despite getting spun at the start
Yea everyone got pretty lucky with the safety cars
I wanted to watch the race but it was at 1AM in my time
Here in Europe, Ireland specifically myself, i just got a "used/damaged" 6800xt off Amazon warehouse.
Thank you for your input!
@@ScatterVolt no probs, it's all a bit mess here in europe, i pay 4% more sales tax than germans and 2% more than spanish. Governments want to standardize corporation tax but not taxes for us little people
Ryzen 5600 with an Arc770 will hit the sweet spot for my Fortnite, Minecraft, gaming needs
Nice
Unfortunately for the Moroccan community, we incur more than $300 in shipping and fees. Therefore, purchasing those high-end GPUs becomes more expensive for us. I hope Amazon does something about this; we really want to buy from the platform, but the shipping and import fees are too high. Therefore, we stick with an older generation of GPUs.
Thanks for informing me about the situation in Morocco!
I have an Intel 12700 kf with a Intel Arc A750.
Nice
That is a really good combo. Will give you tons of fun!
But Nvidia performs significantly better than AMD on nearly all 3D modeling applications regardless though right?
@@ScatterVolt In some programs like Blender yes, but mostly it doesn't matter too much if it's Nvidia or AMD, what matters is raw performance. Geforce is for gamers, Quadro is for professional work. There's also AMD WX, their business variant of gpu, but it's not very popular.
Paired up 5600 with 6700 non xt variant which I grabbed for a steal. Such an underrated card which goes under radar and most power efficient. Your thoughts on 6700??
Good card
Nice video like always, what do you think about the i3 1200f and the XFX 6650XT ?
Good
6750xt here in the uk is pretty expensive its about £70 more than a 4060
I think in place of 5600x for entering in 1440 p you should get a i5 12400f which supports ddr5 and a better future proof motherboard
Future proof? You sure?
1:02
@@ScatterVolt not that much upgradable but still you are getting ddr5 which can be used later and the CPU performance the same and is even cheaper
future proof intel motherboard you get two generations of intel CPU at best over many generations of AMD CPU on same socket just look at the AM4 socket and new AMD socket any thing like this AMD a better bet
You highlighted my setup 🎉.
R7 5700x and rx 6750 xt.
Actually you changed my mind. I was gonna go with a rtx 4080, but now that I think about it I don’t even care about ray tracing. 7900xtx and 7800x3d it is
Ray Tracing is nice but even I don’t have it on all the time. I like high framerate for my games.
Never sleep on 5 7500F and it's cheaper without a cooler
Amazing performance and handle any 1440p GPU

Plannin on pairing a 12100f with a 7600. I run 1440p but mostly games 10 years or older. The i3 is gonna bottleneck the 7600 but i feel for the price it is worth and i can always upgrade cpu later. Thoughts?
It won’t bottlenecks. Whatever is suggesting that to you isn’t right.
What are you gaming on mister Volt? If I had the money I would go the fanboy route every single time.
I just need a PC. I Guess it's time to sweat 💦 to get that machine

Good combo
Yeah, i'm happy with My 5600x +6750 xt. Can't imagine spending more TBH.
You beat the system!
After a lot of research and comparison the X670 motherboards don’t worth it at all. Especially the not extreme versions , some B650 are even better than X670 mb (especially the extreme versions). AMD even confirmed this. For gaming at least it changes nothing.
