    Wow, perfect timing. I was just about to go looking for the G36 mod. Can't wait to try it. The Bonanza really is a joy in MSFS. Agree with you that a steam guage version would be fantastic.

    I am going to have to install the upgrade mod. The Model 35 has always set the standard of what a GA aircraft should be. I made my first landing in a V Tail Bonanza in 1959 at Monroe, LA and have loved the plane ever since. Like they say, you never forget your first. 😀

    Check if you updated your G1000NXi ingame - looks like you are still missing the engine (and very welcome lean assist) page. Check if you renamed you G36 improvement mod folder to Z_... or Z-... to be loaded AFTER the working title Garmin G1000NXi.

    I had a friend who was killed piloting a G36 along with two others when he flew into a Cat. 5 storm over Missouri. It was returning home at night to Indiana from a week-end hunting trip is South Dakota. Interestingly a 4th person turned down that trip on Friday morning stating he was concerned about his personal safety. Bill told him "you're missing a hunting trip of a lifetime" but his wisdom prevailed. Eventually the FAA settled with the widows because they failed to "hand off" the flight properly. A previous weather warning was lost in the shuffle and the new controller failed to provide a storm location movement update. Bill was following the advice of the first controller.

    Great Video, thank you, I found one issue, I cant get the avionics to come on, everything else work just fine, just the avionics, I did down load the G1000 NXI from the market place as well, Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

    Hey, Mike, my G1000NXi map screen is too dim to see - I have to view it head-on and zoomed in to really see it. The dimmer is turned all the way up. Any ideas? It works fine other than it's so hard to see.
    Update: Fixed it, thanks to something you mentioned about installing the NXi - make sure the G1000 was deleted first. Which I never knew when I "updated" to the NXi. I removed the G1000, and deleted the NXi, then re-installed and now have a nice bright MFD screen.

  • @paulphibbs7162

    If you are using the NXI, why not use the new feature that allows for mixture management?

  • @paulphibbs5362

    Tried this mod and found issues with 1) Fuel Pump showed a negligible rise with full throttle before engine start. Also, at a number of airports I tested, at different surface types, grass, taxiway, runway, the plane appeared to be stuck, regardless of power applied with the handbrake off. I removed the mod and the base aircraft was problem free. Disappointing.

  • @jaksongpg
    @jaksongpg 2 года назад +1

    How can I make the map point north on the left screen? It is a nice plan to fly. Much as I like the Cessna 152, realistically, it's only good for circuits; With this - and its speed - you can actually go places.

    • @davybloggs1564
      @davybloggs1564 2 года назад

      jacksongpg - yes, the maps in many aircraft are not orientated correctly to North - many are c15° out! I've asked this question MANY times on 'tube vids but have never had an answer! Am I just being dumb? AmI missing something?

    • @jaksongpg
      @jaksongpg 2 года назад

      @@davybloggs1564 Hi - I meant the big right screen not left. The way the map is I find that disorientating. On the Cessna you can have it up North or the other way

    I have the g36 turbo mod, is this mod that you showing in this video is it more accurate? Thanks

    • @forcedtoexist6221
      @forcedtoexist6221 2 года назад +1

      No not more accurate - but the non turbo engine! So you don't have the same power output and you need to lean the engine according to air density. If you want to get that more realistic - the natural aspirated engine - you need this mod. Unfortunately - as both mods modify (hence mod ;) the same base plane - they are NOT compatible! But ofcourse you can use a mod manager to select the one of them you want to fly next time you start msfs.

    Great video. Love the plane, but I really hate the glass cockpit. All the planes look the same with it. The steam gauges gave every plane its own distinctive cockpit layout, and the Bonanza and Baron cockpits were so cool. Now they all look so "gamey". Plus, navigating with the radios is so much more rewarding than just pointing the plane in the right direction using the GPS.
    Also hate that the sim still doesn't have AI traffic, especially general aviation. Back in FS9, I had built huge GA, mil, and commercial AI traffic files from freeware sources on line. None of that static stuff that they use now. I'd love flying into the small airports just to see what kind of AI was there. You had to listen to ATC to keep from flying into the AI, and I loved hearing all the military and commercial callsigns on the radio. Even though the graphics look amazing, I still feel like we've taken some steps backwards...

    • @martingreen7737
      @martingreen7737 2 года назад

      With the NXi mod installed, I installed Robert Young's Turbo V3 mod. Then, I changed the name of this mod to "bonanza-S-g36-improvement-project" so that it loads before the Turbo V3 mod. Now, I have a turbo bonanza working with this latest g36 improvement mod. Manifold pressure stays at 30 up to almost 18,000 feet and I get just under 220 knots TAS at 25,000 feet.

Planes parking on top of user plane and etc. Planes landing on runway and just disappearing mid runway??? Fix it already??? immersion??? really?
