Friendly heads up, during the run-up you need to check the prop control to see if you will adjust the pitch angle on the prop. You are supposed to pull the prop control back until you get a 200 to 300 RPM drop and then return to full forward. This is normally done 3 times. Easy to miss if you are not a pilot. On takeoff, after gaining a few hundred feet you will want to reduce the manifold pressure and RPM. 2500 RPM and 25 inches of manifold pressure would be a normal climb setting. You will need to adjust the MP as you gain altitude, that is because the MP will drop 1" for every thousands ft of altitude gained. When decreasing power, reduce MP first and then the RPM. With most light GA A/C with a constant speed prop you would want to keep the MP no higher than the RPM. When entering a climb from cruise, increase RPM first and then MP. Running MP higher than RPM is hard on the engine resulting in increased wear.
Booring
Of course you're bored Stevey, you have zero interest in the subject and are jealous of those that do.
You almost pulled a Harrison Ford, ha ha. Good old times. Thanks for having me onboard OverKill, on this new epic ride. Will download the mod, it's a must for me since I chose to buy the Baron from Black Square, and not the Bonanza, and now it seems I will have a good Bonanza too. Many thanks to the developer.
Saw this pop up in my feed and went to see if there was an update. Been a loooooong time since I've flown the Bonanza.
I'm not sure what the traffic pattern altitude is for this airport but the FAA recommends entering at a 45 degree angle on the down wind leg at traffic pattern altitude. Standard TPA is 1000Ft. As far as distance from the runway on downwind, the runway should be about midway on the wing. On another note, I'm up in Scottsdale and it appears summer is coming to an end, night are dropping into the mid 70's.
Excuse my grammar on the discussion about the prop control. It should have read, "Check the prop control to see if you will be able to adjust the pitch angle on the prop". I should also let you know I'm a licensed pilot and worked as a flight instructor years ago that way you know I'm not trying to BS you.
Nice MOD, it only need a set of good RL livery because I find that provided not special.
Poor old Harrison,I don't think he's ever going to live that down..............................................
Lol no I don't think so lol
Flying over city and villages at low level is generally forbidden. Look at the approach charts. If you don't have them make the landing circuit and downwind on the side where there are less houses. It is a simner bad habit I see in almost every video.
