  • Inspired by the 1974 Yamaha ‘Super Flighter’ guitar, the RS620 takes its design cues from a cult classic, combining them in perfect balance with the individual styling and custom-built vibe of the Revstar concept.
Its roots definitely run deep, but this isn’t your dad’s guitar.

Shaped like an SG...sounds like a LP with a vintage finish.

I got the RS620 2 weeks ago. And all I got to say is what a fantastic playing and sounding guitar. I am very happy with my choice. I would recommend them to anyone looking for anew guitar. And you won't break the bank.

    To those who don't
The dry switch does nothing but roll off slight low end, but retains all humbucker fat thickness
Just sounds brighter and a slight more open

I’ve had this guitar since 2017 and it’s my main. Swapped the pickups for a JB in the bridge and Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck. But sounds just fine stock

I've been enjoying this guitar for a few weeks, it definitely has a unique tone that I can't replicate with my other guitars. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you view your tone. For me I'm writing songs specifically based on this guitars tone. if you want to sound like everyone else then throw in some burst buckers or emg's. Gibson's offerings in this price range feel like $200. guitars in comparison, this feels like a $3000 Gibson. This is my sincere opinion.

Hey great tone and great playing. I want to try this guitar. I have a question, on what amp are you running the sound through? Any pedals you are using?

What is the difference between the RS620 and the RS820 Sound Wise?

    • @Yujilik
      @Yujilik 7 лет назад

kenisinoregon 8.4k output neck pickup on the 820... And the 620 got a pickup with 8.3k on the neck. Basically no difference

620 is brighter with a less heavy low end. 820 has a heavier low end. The 620 sounds closest to the 720b and the 820 sounds like a cleaner 320.

@@lastone032085 One year ago but I try anyway...
Comparing 620 with 820 (same amp, same settings) you say that the difference is perceivable?

this is not true unless you count the bridge which won't have any audible difference

besides the bridge and finish what is the difference between the rs620 to the rs820cr?

Between the 620 and 820? The 620 has block inlays and an Alchemy bridge. The 820 has dots and a Tone Pros AVTII bridge . The pickups according to the website are the same. If you want block inlays but hate the racing stripes you can basically buy a 620 and bolt on a Tone Pros bridge and call it . The bridge does make a difference .

Rich Dubbya - Hey Rich. Question: both have top-wrap bridges. What is the purpose or advantage of this versus the tradiontal tune O matic you see in a Gibson? Also, what is the difference in the Alchemy bridge vs the Tone Pros bridge if they are both Top Wrap bridges? Thanks
