The beast season since 90/91/92. 2013-2015 made the 8 year old in me smile.
Same here man, these were cool years for the pirates, I still don’t know how we didn’t go to the World Series with that team
I come back to this video every other month and sob like a baby remembering the memories. An amazing summer.
Truly was. Here’s to getting that feeling back. Sad that I was barely a teenager when this happened, now I can legally drink and there hasn’t been a hint of this since. Sad

The 2013 team was special, the 2014 team was good, but this team was something else, if they didn't get screwed by the terrible wild card rules they very easily could've made a run at it all

I miss Alvarez and Walker
I don't miss either. Alvarez would almost always strikeout if he were put under too much pressure. While Walker may have been good at 2nd base and performed well during the regular season he completely shut down during the postseason.

I was at the Francisco Liriano homer in game it was insane, it was my birthday and it was in the Denny's home run inning and my cousin works there and that means he gets packed so he was pissed

I'm a Phillies fan, and one of my best friends is a Pirates fan.
I would love a season where my team and hers are good at the same time.
Pirates have lost so many of their good players :I (Walker, Alvarez, Rodriguez, etc.)

Wolflet3 c: Walker as a grade A player during the regular season but in the postseason his offense completely shut down. Alvarez was a decent player defensively but his offense was solely based on home runs, basically he would not get a hit unless it was a home run. Rodriguez in my opinion is a great player all around the diamond and should spend the rest of his career with the Pirates.

When marte got nabbed for steroids it broke my heart lol. Also, Jung Ho Kang DUI made me sad (he is coming back through the minors should be ready for next season)

from 2013-2015, Pittsburgh had the 2nd best record in MLB. The Cardinals were the only team better.

Could have won it all that year, especially with the average Mets team that made it to the World Series

Bruh the pirates should have win the World Series, they lost because the mlb playoff system is broke, they unluckily lost in the wild card. Because it was a one game playoff. Broken, 2nd best record and still play in the wild card? I am 100 percent sure If the pirates won the wild card they would’ve made it to the ws. Nah I am 100 percent sure we would have beat the wild card if IT WAS A 3 GAME SERIES OR MORE.
Yeah I agree this was one of the best teams the Pirates put together in the past 30-40 years, they would be down 4 and they'd come back, they never really would get blown out and all the pitching was very strong. They just ran into Jake Arrieta at a terrible time. Also the Cubs were one game behind the pirates with 97 wins the NL central had the 3 best teams in the entire MLB.

I would be more optimistic today if it wasn't for Bob Nutting. Just go back to your ski resorts and hotels and leave the pirates in good hands. He's a multimillionaire that should be a billionaire but people are so tired of his crap, nobody wants to give him their hard earned money. He clearly doesn't get the money ball aspect of budget baseball.
