      Appreciate the concern haha! The way I'm doing it is pretty standard - just gotta use your shoulder to pull in a more limited range in case anything slips. I could use a knife sharpener though...

    Did you end up getting a new awl after your other ones broke? What awl do you think is best to get for putting holes in the outsole

      Yeah, I had a pending order from Starko (starkotools.com/category/sewing), so I added a few square awls to that. Before they arrived, I just filed down the broken ones so I could finish the shoe. A regular flat awl is definitely easier and less prone to breaking, but leaves a much larger hole so would only be suitable for
