Just ordered the sniper in .25 cal, thanks again for the trustworthy and detailed review JT
How is the gun? Is it any good at 100 yards
@@gboutdoors5198 For this money for 100yrds you can hit a can of beer bot nat a coin
Impressive gun and great video. I have a Beeman 2027 and a 2028 both with the full Buck Rail mods. I keep the fill probes installed permanently as I noticed on the 2028 that pushing it in and out was damaging the O ring seal. I put caps on both probes to protect them. Probes and caps seem to be working fine. Thanks for your great videos.
I totally agree! A little dust cap, and you are good to go! Happy Shooting 😉👍🏻
Thank you for the review. Looks like an excellent rifle. I love the accuracy and the semi-auto will be great for plinking.
I have a range where I can shoot targets at 50, 100 and 200 yards. My 22 Cal Gauntlet/Gen 1 and Akela are OK for the 50 yards. I looking for a PCP, probably a 22 Cal, that can reach out to 100 and maybe to the 200 yard range.
There are so many excellent options available. The airgun manufactures are really stepping up. We have almost too many options!
Yes, there are many choices currently. A lot of competition. I would guess a slug will be the best choice of ammo for the greater distances. Happy shooting, and again it is nice to see your comments 👍🏻😉
I suggest,Vulcan 3/ airmaks katran or krait both X models/Fx rifle/daystate or brocock
I have the AEA HP SS .30 and really like it. I remember a couple years ago when I got it, all you ever heard was how much people hated AEA. Nice to see opinions shifting.😁😁
Very nice review JC!! I have a few different AEA platforms in .25, .30 and .35 calibers.
Any problems with any of them?
None so far, but I don't shoot them as much as other AEA owners
Great video JC!
I wonder why so few airgun manufacturers make light rifles?
A ten pound gun just isn't as much fun as a 6 pound gun to me. We don't need boat anchors to shoot pellets but that's mostly what we have to choose from for some reason.
Anyway good job!
I know the 300 bar tanks are a bit heavier. You combine that with all metal parts. I guess it just starts adding up. I appreciate you tuning in, and thank you for your comments. 👍🏻😉
On the other hand the extra weight can be useful for the bench
Try the daystate huntsman. Light, well made and accurate! With a lightweight scope about 6.5 to 7 .lbs. One of the most accurate GUNS I've ever shot🙂.
Olá JC, great review as always and generally excellent pcp. I like these AEA pcp, good accuracy, cool semi-automatic, good looks, compact. Thanks and have a great weekend my friend.
Looking at the bar graph you put up it may have a touch of reg creep seeing that every time the magazine gets fill with pellets the FPS spikes a bit. Is this your assessment as well or am I mistaken? Thanks for showing us this PCP. AEA made some nice improvements especially with the external regulator 👍. Thanks and stay blessed.
Thank you very much for the great vid and u made up my mind on witch way I'm going to go ( the time u take makes a great differance on what products we buy) THANKS AGAIN
Great review of an awesome air rifle! Thank you! Now I'm sorely tempted
.. 😅
Just wanted to say cheers , and thank you for all of your reviews ! I love your channel. Anytime I decide to get a new (air) boom stick , I always check if you reviewed it . Thank you !
Great review. One of the few videos that didn't install a Donny FL suppressor. You might have pushed me to get one, I just have to convince the wife.
Thanks for the video!! Just got my hands on 1
Got me EX 🍕 boy !! You're really coming up in your air gun collection if you have a AEA now !
@@timmy4539 Not mine😔 BUT i get to test it😂👍
@@FirstStateAirgun 👍👍 just give it back after your done testing it in a few years !! After all we need a long term test ! Lol
@@timmy4539 😂😂😂Sounds bout right
Have fun! Not sure what caliber you are shooting? But if it is the .22, turn down the transfer port just a bit when you are shooting anything under 25 gr ammo. Happy Shooting!
Awesome review JC! Very nice and accurate rifle. Want one badly for sure. Enjoy the holiday weekend as well.
Hey awesome video like always. I was just wondering did you use the .217 or .218 H&N heavy slug?
Oh man, this was a one sweet review of it! That one is so cool! I really really like that one! It seems to have rightabout everything going for it. Surely no fullauto - but for the price of it, it offers almost everything you'd want. Wow! What a rifle! The intergated suppressor kinda bummed me out at first. I woulda wanted all barrel within that tube, with just threads for whatever aftermarket suppressor you'd want to put on yourself. But I think I'd be fine with how it is..😁 I think I'd also go for a .22, even though the thought of a .25 would also sound pretty interesting...
-Thanks again JC for such an awesome video! 😊👍🏻
Now I gotta see who sells these around over here. Really interested to see a local price. $800-900 sounds good. Sadly those numbers seem to differ here often quite noticeably - but never being smaller amounts...😕
I was pleasantly surprised with the overall performance. AEA really put a nice overall package together with this one. Have a great weekend, Bror!👍🏻😉
@@AirgunDetectives Absolutely! Nice fps with some very decent pellets - and damn great accuracy with slugs. And it looks fantastic too!😁 Way sweet with a folding AR comp stock for a more compact storage or carry also.. It quickly looks like an AR with a one helluva grenade launcher!(not a bad thing..)🤣
AEA seems to have many nice airguns - even though many also criticized them..
You also have a very, very good weekend! 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Really nice John, would you say that the other calibers in this model are equally as accurate? Ty brother 😎👍🏻
I would guess, yes! I think the key in all the airguns is finding the right pellet! Have a great weekend 👍🏻😉
@@AirgunDetectives it’s dead centers or hades or red fires and extact
Confused. This would also be helpful for your viewers because I’m sure that I’m not the only one trying to figure this out. Maybe you could do RUclips show on program.
I don’t know which model airgun I should purchase the AEA Max or the AEA SF series.
I am mostly going to use it for marksmanship If you could answer these questions it would help a lot. I’m from Vancouver Canada.
- Caliber is probably the most difficult thing to decide. I’m leaning towards 25 caliber maybe 35 caliber. I’ve seen a test where at 20 yards at 70 foot pounds with a 25 caliber had more penetrating power compared to 30 caliber by about 4 inches more penetration.
-
- On the other hand I saw another test where someone was testing the HP max 35 Cal and and other AEA 40 cal and the 35 cal m penetrated more sheets of metal compared to the 25 caliber. Again this is a close distances like 10 yards. So it’s confusing.
- Which model airgun would be capable of killing larger game like hogs or small deer that say 50 yards to 100 yards? I don’t want the animal to be injured and suffer.
- What’s the advantage/difference between purchasing the HP Max and SF Series?
- In terms of marksmanship and penetrating power at 50 to 100 yard distance which AEA airgun and caliber would you personally purchase, the HP max or the SF series?
- Which barrel size do you recommend for my needs? The SF sniper is probably too long for me so either the 10 inch or 13 inch would be better. I might consider the SF sniper series with the longest barrel if you strongly suggested I purchase it.
- What happens to the accuracy and penetrating power at 50 yards compared to 100 yards using a 25 caliber compared to a 30 caliber? I know the larger the caliber pellets drop off more in terms of difference.
Thank you.
I'd like to see a comparison of the sound of the cycling action between the SF, HP, and a Leshiy 2.
Can you confirm that in single mode it can generate much more power than in semi auto ?
Thanks, considering the .30 standard...
Great review! I Love mine. got the compact version last week, instant turn around to buy the HP Max.
Can confirm AEA own site provided me with .22, great communication, sent within 12 hours, arrived packaged well within 7 working days from spain to finland.
(UPS) to local post office tax incl. taxes all that good stuff.
great help through whatsapp, new to PCPs staff there extended help and had patience with my daft questions.
Hello, do you recommend this for iguanas and squirls? Plus what kinda not expensive scope do you recommend for very close range till 50 plus yards?
Thank you.
Where do I get this Airgun, can you make available for me ?
Wow this is impressive
Love you guys!
hey what do you think the aea challenger or the sf series standard im in-between the two do i want a super powerful rifle that shoots really well at long range or a light weight compact gun thats semi auto thats a perfect 50 yard gun im really stuck if you had to choose between the two what would your pick be
Why do you think the first shot in every clip was higher fps the the other 11? (11 consistent shots per clip is great, but better if all 12 shots were consistent, don't you think?)
Hello I'm considering sf standard and I can't decide what caliber choose, .22 or .25 can You answer what max fpe I can achieve with this? Reg on max, thanks
If it is regulated at 160 bar, why would velocity not be constant, and in fact, DROP, as tank pressure dropped (while above 160 bar) ?
Good video. Subbed!
George, thanks for tuning in, and I appreciate the support!👍🏻😉
How fast is the semi auto mode? Doesn’t the regulator need some time to fill?
its quick refill regulator
Nice!!
You are a Lucky man sir!❤️
How reliable are they
I had to send my AEA Sniper back for a refund. I couldn't cock the bolt. The cocking effort must be around 50 lbs. None of the reviews mentions this.
Fantastic review... I purchased the AEA SF Compact, excited to use it. Thanks for the great review.
How is it and what cal do you have?
@@midwesttacticalair7742 I purchased the .25 and so far I'm happy with it. This is my 5th pcp rifle and I like what they've done with this.
I really like the rifle. I'm looking for something with a longer barrel for long range accuracy.
Well I got the SF Sniper on 30 cal. It is amazing and I cannot put it down ....super accurate and lots of fun. External reg is the best
@@cabezamiami Thanks for sharing. I will look in to it. I've accepted the reality if I want to start competing, I will be spending at least $2,000 on a rifle plus the optic.
@@cabezamiami I forgot to mention the .30 cal epoch comes with the long barrel. there are many reviews on it. Primarily the accuracy is pointed out. However, it's $2400. There is some FX stuff I like as well. I love the SK19, but I'm not sure how it would do in the big bore long range competition. You're shooting steel up on the mountain side from over 300 yds away.
Any way to drop the trigger pull below 1 lb? 4 lbs is really high.
hate is free, logic is free beyond ego.
Adjustable trigger?
Ayyy Go #Raiders and #AirgunDetectives
Thanks for tuning in! 👍🏻😉
why the spikes in velocity on a regular basis?
How many inches does it measures when folded ?
Why did you turn off the semi-auto for accuracy?
He said to make sure each pellet seated correctly.
Where can I get the aftermarket fill probe dust cover?
What kind of magazines come with this air rifle are they metal are they plastic are they CNC
The ones on my gun, AEA SF Standard .30 are complety crab, they broke after 12/5 shots. Who sels shit like that.... ??
Werer you paid to do his review?
You know i've got a couple fifty caliber AEA Bullpup And the Only reason why i got them them just because I wanted a magazine feed Gun absolutely have horrible Triggers on them But I can't believe it's nice of a looking air gun That it is and it be a 22cal That it has such a bad trigger. The JTS air Rifle that you reviewed have got far better triggers than that gun. I can't believe it. But they can't make a trigger even on the 22cal Trigger terrible
I bought the AEA Sniper 30 cal mostly because of this video. My rifle wasn’t even close. It only fired 15 times on single mode and started leaking air internally. My rifle did not hit nearly so hard as the one in the video. May be ok for squirrels, but I wouldn’t risk anything bigger. Seems to be an unreliable expensive toy, not a serious rifle. Certainly does not justify the coast or even the cost of the compressor.
Thanks JC!
Nice Rifle and great Shooting. What scope were u using? and price just getting into Scops now. U need to get your Wife out there to hold up a sign to Remember the Safety. Sorry Could not resist.
Funny guy! That was a UTG Sniper with a side focus. It has a wire reticle, nothing special. Have a fantastic weekend! 👍🏻😉
👍👍
Tim..late to the game today? Regardless, it's always great to see you arrived! I appreciate the continued support 😉👍🏻
@@AirgunDetectives yes I'm a little late for everything today I'm passing another kidney stone so I'm moving a little slow !!
@timmy4539 ouch! I have a buddy who spent 8 hours in the hospital yesterday for the same thing. They sent him home with pain medication, and he is still in the process. I'm sorry to hear that 😞
@@AirgunDetectives thank you ! It's not fun ! The last one I passed was a touch bigger than a 25 cal pellet !! 🤧
Well first of all. Why would you need a bolt lock back? I have shoot pellet guns for over 60 years and have never had a need or wanted a lock back. It looks like it needs a lot better regulator it shoots like it doesn't even have one. I would give it a 3 star. But I would never consider buying one. On the other hand Utah airguns I give them a 5 star rating.
I think he was looking at max power so the regulator wasn't doing anything for him because of how high it was set. I've seen them fire when set "properly" and the reg does fine. The bolt lock back is most likely for quick magazine change.
@@mattmann5620 Again his reg is tuned for max power which all but negates the reg . Look for this video on youtube to see what it shoots like when tuned for consistency and not power. "BinTac: Let us take look how AEA SF works." it holds velocity just fine when tuned properly
This is a stupid design that's like designing the car with an option to have a horse pull the car.😅😂😅😂😅😮
