I was taught in archery to move the sight too far. Then you'll know how far to move it back. Works dandy with any type of firearm also. A good tutorial for beginners
This is a great video for sighting in an airgun to use for hunting, where you want the point of impact to be the at the point of aim for a fixed range. If the game/target is further away than the distance sighted in, raise your point of aim. If you are going to just shoot bullseye targets, this sighting system has a problem in that it's hard to see the black front post against the black bullseye. For shooting bullseye targets, it's better to to set up the air gun so that if the point of aim is at 6 o'clock low, (below the black bullseye) and the point of impact is the center of the target. That way you can see the front/rear sights more clearly against the white part of the target.
Never sight in irons. Sighting in irons has messed me up for sighting in scopes forever. I see the turret says left and I turn it right. I'm a broken man.
This is great, but I can't tell if my rear sight is moving up or down when I turn the knob. It seems to depress on a spring and then returns to the same position

Make bigger moves on windage, and elevation, better if you already have the rifles favourite pellet, my mate bought a walnut HW35E, very nice gun, he hadn't a clue how to set the sights, after teaching him he's now a good shot, l also sorted his guns innards, basically all was needed is a relube and piston sleeves l made for it to take away the twang, the guns made for open sight shooting, for scope shooting there's no better rifle than the HW97 HW95 depends whether break barrel or fixed you prefer.
you need to adjust it because of the range everytime you change the range about couple meter your adjustmen will be off so you need to adjust it every time you change the range of the target
No two guns will shoot exactly the same, even two guns off the same assembly line. Also true with ammunition/pellets - If you have your rifle sighted in for one brand of pellets with the same weight, if you change to a different brand, or weight of pellet and even sometimes different batch from the same manufacturer the point of impact will not be the same. If it was possible to buy a gun with a factory fitted scope that was zero'd in, someone would still have to zero the scope and that would take time, and cause the price of the airgun and scope to be much higher and if you used a different type of pellet than the manufacturer used, it would still be off. Plus if you wanted to shoot at a different distance than the one the manufacturer zero'd the scope, you would still have to make adjustments. An air rifle zero'd at 10 yards or 10 meters would be off target if fired at a target 15 yards, 20 yards, etc.
Problem for me is that I have never seen the back sight you were moving. I've never seen a back sight like that which can be moved in the manner you used. It would have been much more helpful for me if you had FIRST shown us the back sight up close, and also then done the left-right:up-down adjustments so I could see it. This way you did it doesn't show me anything like that.
The sight is standard on a Weihrauch spring rifle. But the principle is used on most adjustable rear sights. You will just have to read which adjustments are used to move the same direction.
@@airgunsofarizona "read" where? What if your viewer does not know what a 'Weihrauch spring rifle' is? Are you trying to attract new customers with your videos? I think not with this sort of unhelpful answer. I was attracted to your business via Jessica withthe Iguana videos. Now that I am seeing how you treat customers, I'm inclined to move on somewhere else.
Sorry if you misinterpreted our response. Read means to reference your owners manual for your airgun. We cannot address all circumstances in one video. But, the concept we show here will apply to all rear sight adjustments. Clockwise may mean down on this sight, but could be up on another. So, take what we show in this video and try it. But, if you get opposite results, you will just have to dial the opposite direction. Hope this helps.
Awesome, I have a love hate relationship with iron sights 🤣🤣 great video man😎👍🏻👍🏻
I bought the Williams Rear Peeps sight as you suggested on the phone and I'm very impressed. Thank you.
Excellent video. I am teaching myself how to adjust iron sites. This is the best RUclips video I have seen on the subject.
We are glad we could help!

first like success well deserved fan of Brazil always wishing you all the best
Don't be afraid to make big adjustments in the beginning. As you get closer, make smaller adjustments.😃👍

This video, is long over due for some people that get mixed up when sighting in adjustments...Thank you AOA.

Which gun is it?
We should shoot at what behind the post or above it ?
Can I change the plastics rear and front sigths to metal sigths in air guns? Are accesories for that?
Great video it helped me a lot thanks
Should i use sandbags to sight in my iron sights? Is it required or is it like good to have? Please help 🙏
It’s not required but they do that so there not pulling the shot and show off what the guns capable off without hold over 👍🏼
v.v.v. nice explanation !!!! thanks
Why was the pellet hitting higher everytime you adjusted the horizontal?
Human error
It will easy to learn if you show your finger move
Hi there. Whats the distance range in meters for the calibration we watched.. I own a BAM 19X-SOT PVC GAS RAM (4.5mm) with 305 m/s speed. Thank you
It was 20 yards, so about 18.3 meters. You might want to sight in at 20 meters, depending upon the distances you plan to shot.

Thank you, sir.
Thanks...its great
Nice
He taught me how to correct open sights.
thx.
Good bro❤❤❤
My question is why do we have to have adjustments in the first place? Why not just have a fixed scope that is tuned correctly right out of the box?
you need to adjust it because of the range everytime you change the range about couple meter your adjustmen will be off so you need to adjust it every time you change the range of the target

Good
Humans are not cyclop’s. Why don’t we line up sights to one side that fits our dominant eye. Isn’t it harder to level out two side instead of one.
Maybe its not the gun , but your aiming ?
When you're placing the gun on a surface, it's more likely to be the gun, not the human
